Jtran Rocks the House! Say What? I said, "DaosX Rocks the House!" That's what I thought you said...
-
Excellent, have him on watched for a while now... congrats!
-
Conrats, and great costume on your character... I gotta stop clicking people's names, it just makes me want to draw.
-
LOL I thought it was just me... this gives me great happiness knowing that I too am on the right path towards more art and less sleep!
-
Man I love this classic comic cover idea... jumping on that! Great work as usual Brandon, and gratz to Juggertha and Buckeye...

I know a great charity, it's called paying LJ's rent... j/k, I'll see what I can do, but it might have to wait for a few weeks.

Drawing on the fly can happen anywhere... but if you're going to be regimented about drawing and or working at it, your workspace is key. And on that note, I'd like to make the argument for 2 necessary things if at all possible: a clutter free environment, and a well lit one, preferably sunlight. Not that we are all Superman, but sunlight actually awakens something in the brain, that darkness hinders. Those who are night owls might disagree, but comparatively I think if both people were regulated to sunlight, you'd find they'd be more productive in daylight.
I know we can't all work in a well lit area, or in the day, but when you can, and if you can, you may enjoy working more, and you might have a more productive session...
As to clutter free, that goes for any work space, the less clutter around you the less guessing you'll have to do as to finding your things, especially your drawing things. Not to say that the packrats among us can't function without being heaped in pizza boxes and comics... just that less is more and organization will do wonders for your again productivity.
You can start by just clearing your desk. Find places for things, get boxes or containers and label them, and oh yeah, throw stuff away, you don't need everything you've ever touched in the world to be at your deathbed... Let go of things, and move on to a new day, then draw, and or make cheese bread, then send me some...
as always, just my 2 cents.

I'm very happy to announce that the piece I did for Nopt Raptors made the Crey Industries Threat of the Week!
Here she is there: Ignemae, and at DA
All kudos of course goes to Nopt for his original character idea, his descriptions helped make the final art what it is... and I'm really happy he is getting this recognition!

great shadows... and hands!

I love your character the Riving... definitely gets my vote for best new costume!
-
I particularly like the raised belly indication...
-
See this is what happens when you leave PK right before earning them 999,999 prestige! *raises arms in Shatner like Khan moment*
Course it would help if I actually did that... -
Yes intent is key, though hard to gage in a game or online... I'd never heard of the monk before, and that is a fascinating story... perhaps fascinating is wrong.
-
I'm not offended if the toon creator is Vietnamese (and somehow identifies with the person and or their actions for his religion or country's politics)... otherwise it's in poor taste. Someone put up a pic of Charles Manson in their DA account, and while I had no idea what the context was, I don't need that garbage coming into my morning deviants that I have on watch... I want to see art, not politics.

You should get a closer shot when doing a screenshot. Most people, I don't think, notices feet too much...generally, try to focus on face mostly and the torso and arms.

Listen to this man, he knows of what he draws! -
Decided to go full on LJ as SW... gees all this time I've been playing her on Virtue, and all it took was for someone to call me Spiderwoman to finally make her an iconic costume! I guess simpler is better...

It's a good idea to have those screenshots, "linked" under your signature, so people don't have to search or ask you if you're not around. They can just click under the body of your posts... that's usually what I do if I want to surprise draw someone.

Oh and Kilo, I'm closing in on you... 4 from 19 thanks to Soul Train this morning!

Nice pic, but Lady Judgement looks a little like the original Spiderwoman. Was that intential? (No offense, I'm just curious)

Yup. When we first made the Art SG (The Envisionaries), we hadn't decided on a server yet, so I tried out this costume on another server than Liberty. By the time we chose Liberty, people were saying I looked like the other Spiderwoman, so when I got a chance for another costume, thanks to the very generous Tax E Girl... I made a more traditional Spiderwoman look... I think for level 20, I'm gonna go all Venom! -
I think that's the only one in the trilogy I haven't seen... I love the original Fort Apache!

Yeah I add about 3-4 people every 5 days...finally just to make sense of all the names, I had to make up groups like: Anime, COH, Comic Book Artists, Concept Art, Colorists, Painters, Models, Inspirations, and Up & COming... I even have one for just filipino artists (like Ed Benes) called Pinoys!
Oh and let's not even talk about all the Tutorials I've added...
