You might want to avoid using obvious Spider-Woman and She-Venom look-alikes if you want your entry to qualify though.

If you look closer I altered the hair on the middle figure... it's not a great example, and I was unclear, I meant can you photoshop the screenshot to look however you want, and for that matter can you just use your own art and NO screenshots? That is if it's all COH related. I wasn't going to use any Marvel references... I'm sure that would be a rules violation, and disqualify me.

So it's free image hosting for gamers, plain and simple. Okay well that sounds fine, can you tell us what the maximum compacity is for file size, how large can we uplink, and will you offer flash, and or video in the future?

Photobucket allows multple sizes, does the coding for us if we want to link the url, image or html itself. Would we have the ability to manage our own gallery of images, make folders within those galleries?

Congrats on the business, I'm all for gamers giving back and keeping it going. As I see it, your site is as you say, not Deviant, so as an artist I probably won't use it as much as a regular gamer wanting to share screens.

I see my volcano theme is catching on... btw I saw this as a thumbnail on the front DA page and the back of my mind thought it was a TA pic, which I think it came out well... looks finished as is, what more would you translate across?

Please don't lop me in with this description, I've only been in game roughly 13 months, and on this board even less... while there was no malicious intent behind the initial post of this thread, I do think LH can look objectively at the complaints and see that not only are they genuine, but more so that what the "kids" want isn't what Curse is currently offering.

I got this commission through my friend Nopt Raptors, whose own piece I did on kind of a whim after he asked this forum for an artist interested in depicting his toons...

This is for his friend Rich & his RL girlfriend who play on Liberty, and their only real stipulation was to have the Eden Spire in the background.

I found that to be pretty interesting, as a) I'd never done an in game background, and b) I was hoping I could pull it off. Well I am happy to say it is done, and here's the final, with all the stages linked in the comments.

I don't think we're being hateful. Whoever Curse is, they're watching this thread, as is LH, and they have the opportunity to hear the truth, and what we seem to prefer as far as services go.

Basically we'd love a site that not only competes with DA but out does them. Right now, that is NOT Curse. If they want us to endorse, support, be involved in a new site for less than similar purposes, they have to make it worth our while.

As was said before the trouble of posting all our works somewhere new would be a lot of time consuming, little pay off putting work... If I felt Curse had a competitive edge over DA, I might consider it, if I felt it was more than just a screenshot dumpster, then perhaps I'd look into investing my already spread out internet time.

SO they should look at this as a list of the things we really want, what they are and are not providing, and perhaps it'll occur to them why we're not interested in using both places. Not right now...

If it were me running, and I really want the support of this community, I'd try again based on this new knowledge.

Besides how can we hate a site we're not even using...

Fun, but I'd be careful not to be reported as a Bat clone... you could be genericized. Though I think the blog is great...

The Layout seems a little thrown together for me.

DA allows us to separate by category of both medium, subject and audience, keep a tab on the friends & fellow artists who inspire us, keep a favorites gallery of artwork, not to mention the journal factor, the comments by the artist who posts, and frankly I don't want or need a stinking rating system, what the hell is that about?

Their fan art section is for more on the gamer side who just look at work, then anywhere close to people who create fan art or even those wanting to collect it.

I see no way of separating what one of us does, then someone just wanting to post 40 screenshots in a row...

I did a test register, and it's fairly involved, with profile headings like your "hardware specs"... okay fun, but not necessary... again pro gamer not so much this art community.

Perhaps if DA didn't exist, this would be worth looking into... but you did say this was about image hosting, so I suppose it's like photobucket or flickr, and that has it's purpose.
