Woot! Had a blast with this today! Btw I'm free most Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Sunday is my Aion day and Monday is my Task Force/Trial/RWZ Raid day ;-).

This is a great idea and should spice up some of the older content a bit for people. Especially, RPers like myself. Count me in!

I can imagine something like the Dual Blade power for combinations as well. Thinking about this potential set has me doing something I haven't done before. Tinkering with set ideas. In my free time (pre-i16) I'll have to see what I can come up with.

Ok, I rarely post in threads about suggested powers, but this one has perked my interest. I think this would be great, but at character creation, a must for me, would be the ability to pick which hand uses the sword and which uses the pistol. That way the "I'm not left handed" comment would be uber fun to portray.

Really? Is there a required formula to this one, like there is Statesman? If not, I'll try that and go with it next time I'm on.

But seriously, this may be an over sight because I do not recall her working as a trainer for my heroes. If it is a new QoL feature then a villain should be added to the other side. War Witch is a hero and not likely to help villains. I'm all for fairness, but only if it makes sense for the canon.

Interesting discussion and here's my answer.

I live on Virtue and have 24 characters there all female.
I am female in RL.

While I do find many male players that play female characters the reverse is a rarity. I have yet to meet another female that plays dominantly male characters, but that may just be me as the casual player I am. However, I do have two friends (both female) that play CoH and they, also, do not play male characters.

I saw you in the Atlas AE a couple weeks back. Again, great costume.

So, I'm playing my new Dommie and working through the CoV content (which I never really did with my only other villie because I rushed her to 50 to keep up with a friend.) I am striving for story arc completions in addition to badges, but I stumbled across this evil arc from Dr. Forester with an arachnoid EB named Widdershins. Normally I can use a few inspiration to power through an EB fight with Domination in effect. This critter, though, ouch! Now there is some insane regen. Is it like this intentionally?

I literally held the mission until I was even con basis with him and it still took quite a while to power through him.

Looks like this is the week to amuse myself while deadline crunching *smirk*.

I worked on my new Dommie and got her from 36 to 43, granted I'm was in badge hunting OCD mode or I might have taken her further. But I do have all the Accompie badges now through 45 ;-). Can't wait to get my Patron blast->explode power.

Hmmm... Well, I am subbed through Sept. 2010 (and beyond). My 60 month badge is this Sept. Annnnd I intend to preorder. Pencil me in for the Beta.

As far as it being a scheme, I hardly think that is the case. I view it more like them being confident that GR will be well worth the wait. This Development team has yet to prove me wrong and I already have my second MMO, and it's not the heroic competitor. Keep on trekking CoH!

Uhm...I have been hoping for something like this, not to crank it up to 8, but one or two notches will be fine so I can get bosses easier than with the current system. Woot! Tahnk you devs!

Ok, I normally just read over concepts, but THIS is well thought out and, I agree with Samuraiko, conceptualization alone makes it full of win.

TonyV pretty much summed up everything I was going to say. To me Myer's chose the wrong game to examine social PvP interactions. To truly examine the broadest range of interactions in CoH he should have simply taken a character from 1-50 Blueside then one Redside. I'm not saying avoid PvP, but rather experiment with it when the zones pop up with the contacts and then move on. All he did was test one mechanic to see if he could get a reaction and when he did he continually repeated the unskillful tactic until the PvP community took notice. I have no doubt he was asked to stop what he was doing and I also have no doubt that some tried to explain to him how true PvP works, but that would invalidate his findings so none of it saw print. As it stands his article is, as TonyV stated so well, focusing on only the negative experiences.

NOTE: I should point out I did do this tactic myself when PvP first launched, but only one time. Why? Because I found myself in a conversation with someone about being a true competitor. The player even went so far as to show me the PvP ropes. My point here is, the PvP community has always been small on CoH and there is always someone extending an olive branch like they did for me. I find it very unlikely that a similar extension was never made to Mr. Myers.

I couldn't believe the name Major Icon wasn't taken. I went through extensive research to ensure the name wasn't already an established character somewhere and then was shocked when it popped up available a while back. She is my pride and joy RP-wise.

Hmmm... I see this is a couple weeks old, but I do have a near lev26 Controller that is about to undergo a "replacement" syndrome (something will be happening to the original ala my other RP SG I'm in.) I would definitely like to see what you have to offer. Look me up as Honor Shot or I'll send you a forum mail with my global if you like.

Wow! Just Wow! I don't really go in for gameplay footage, but you presented with some great editing. Well done! I would love to know what the music was that accompanied the piece.
