I bet a lot of FA fans like my self will tell u USE BURN IT IS FUN IT IS GREAT :P

Well first thing I noticed is your recharge on your fire/fire tank is low, not to mention there is a few things i would change on it. I would 5 slot HF with 5 DW instead of what u have in there and it would recharge faster then u have now, also i would switch out your LoTG def with LoTG end/recharge to lower the end usage and switch out your def/end/recharge for the LoTG global recharge that should help u with your recharge on it. I did a little twiking on your build for your fire do not have time to go over everything though.

NP I have done similar mistakes before my self. As for the Op i would swith out your Taunt IO to taunt/recharge for if I remember correctly taunt is auto hit I could be mistaken there but it will help with your low taunt aura or lack of it.
-
Ok I hate to disagree on things but the problem I see with the Hulk is this which one? there has been 3 different Hulks for starters. Anyone remember the grey hulk? but to be honest I think he is more ok a mix of both Brute and Tank, inv/wp to throw into the mix. A few reasons behind this, 1 he can with stand more then say a brute can but he can also dish out more then a tank can. 2 He is invincible to lot of things but there has been times he did get weaken by mental attacks when he first appeared but later he was able to with stand it.
-
Just like Rangle my second TW tank is a Ice/TW tank the only problem I have with it is the long and slow animation, but do have fun with it. But I also have an ice/fire, and an Ice/ice both nice. And I think i have another ice combo somewhere.

Quote:Dont u mean typed def? plus wow thats going to be an expensive build. and to the OP just remember the rule of 5 on your build u have 5 extra slots to play with, but u also had the extra added HP in your weave which is not really doing u any good. You want more recharge but u did not taken hasten? I personally would of went another way IE instead of crushing impact I would of went with makos bite, and would of skipped spring attack and would have gotten hasten. I would of also done what done what caul did with the guassian on rage. But I would also would of skipped the purples all together and only 1 sloted boxing and just put a IO ACC in it or 2 slotted it and added the absolute amazement for the end rec.Positional defense is worthless on a SR/ Tank (or /SR brute/scrapper/stalker for that matter), with the possible exception of Psi.
I didn't start from scratch, but here's a modification of yours that hits incarnate softcap defense and runs Tough. It's not perfect, or exactly what I would do, but it's closer.
The first 4 slots in Jab or placeholders for 4 AT enhancements, with the L15 Recharge being the +Resist proc. -
My Inv/SS tank is only lvl 47 ( I need to lvl it) And I hardly use unstoppable if u have your build u can post it here or look at some of the others that is on here and figure out how u can improve your build.

Quote:I was on your team there and you forgot to mention we also talked about mental melee. All the other archetypes has some sort of psi damage but the melee toons why not get that as well?Had a random thought about the whole Radiation armor/melee while puttin some foes down on todays tanker tuesday. Now, I will say right now that neither Rangle or Warboss had anything to do with it either, it just cropped up in team chat and those 2 (partners in crime
) weren't in my team
For Radiation melee, I was thinking of something of a non weapon nature, aka fire/energ/electric etc, perhaps have it look somewhat like fire, but act like energy melee, your fists glow with radiant energy and perhaps leave a slight wake through the air as you pummel someone with them
I was also thinking of the combo system employed for Dual Blades. I've yet to see that used anywhere else (unless street justice did, i never bought it), why not take advantage of a mechanic thats already in game?
Only this time, the combos can create secondary effects more to theme. eg, 3 certain attacks grants -regen to target, another 3 grant -dam or -resistance. Numbers of course befitting something that is balanced. This way we could choose a combo effect that would be the most useful to the current situation. This would give us a set that would be unique, useful and definetly not something simply recoloured
Anyway, that was just my random thought for the day. -
The OP is asking for a secondary that is not such an end hog and from what I have seen with DA/Stone it is one of the biggest end hogs out there, more then DA/dark. But once you get to where you can IO it out and slot it right ya it dose great.

Quote:I was not trying to say you are wrong and as for spring attack when it was on beta it had a bigger KB it seemed like to me at least unless they fixed it before it went live. But you are right in the part of play style it all falls on the part of the player. Your build is great for your play style and maybe some others out there, just like mine is great for my play style and for some others out there. So the big question that we keep forgetting to ask the OP is this what is it that you are looking for in your build? But I want to add this to both you and Hyper thanks for the info on spring attack. If you thought I was responding to your advice earlier and were simply responding in turn - I apologize, because that wasn't the case. I was directing it to the opening post from Crazy_Indian86 and should have made it more clear. Everyone's got their preferences and I offered mine, plain and simple. I know you're not telling me my advice - and certainly not that my own build - sucks, but picking my advice for Crazy_Indian86 apart because it's unconventional comes off as abrasive.
I don't have the available data on Crazy_Indian86's personal playstyle preferences, finances, experience, variables for their maximum planned development besides IO utilization, or teaming opportunities... so I offered situational advice based on my own observations over the years with the Invulnerability / Super Strength set combination. I felt you hit many of the basics quite well with your build recommendation so I didn't want to repeat the obvious such as the Rage missing in the build presented in this thread's opening post.
Additionally, as Hyperstrike mentioned - Spring Attack is a knockdown rather than knockback due to its magnitude and late-game builds can bring its recharge down to 30-35 seconds, allowing its use for every 4-5 applications of Foot Stomp, or once per mob. Combined with Energy Torrent in the case of this player's respective Ancillary Pool choice, you will have 3 multi-target attacks by the end-game, more than enough to sweep up most minions in a single chain.
As an aside, as a recommendation for Crazy_Indian86: my build and those used by many of my friends rarely have 6-slotted attacks that use less than two procs in each, resulting in a noticeable increase in damage while still obtaining most of the desired set bonuses. However, the sets that include one of these two procs will generally be of the more expensive variety or don't offer the defense bonuses that the KB sets provide.
I'll throw my build on here when I get home later for reference. I don't expect anyone to copy it because it was designed specifically for my own aggressive and utility-oriented playstyle (and, mind you, it is rather expensive) but that's the point of offering advice - so that others have fragments of knowledge which they can pick and choose which components to take home or leave behind depending on what they feel is beneficial to them. -
Quote:First off it is great if your on a team with buffs to increase those but that is not the case to most retrospect. I have been on many teams that feel the need for speed sort of speak. IE you wont get those buffs, or there is not those buffs on teams. Not to mention not everyone got those kind of alphas you might have. Spring attack to a lot of people is not that great. I took it in beta when they first introduced it and was very disappointed in it. It is also a big KB factor not so great for melee toons. With all honesty, late-game you will not require Tough and most situations that call for stat caps will likely involve buffers on your team anyway, rendering Tough and Weave to the status of Endurance sinks. Granted, Weave will almost always have a use, unless you're built with extreme ( - EXTREEEEEEEEEEEME!! - ) Defense IO slotting. But honestly, the Fighting Pool doesn't offer anything you can't get out of IOs, Alphas, or *gasp* Inspirations.
I do, however, recommend getting Spring Attack from the Leaping pool. An extra AoE will be useful throughout your career, and it's probably the earliest one you'll get. -
Ok first thing why did u take kick? Kick is a KB attack I would switched it out with boxing, second I why did u skip out on rage? I do not have time to go over everything at this time but there is a few things I would do differently. I have a build for my tank here is the build I use.

That is a good build but i see a couple of issues with it first off Burn is a great power and I would of taken it lot sooner then at 49 if u plan on Exemping down. Second unless u just added it for the KB prot Temp Prot is not really needed for a fire tank since u can max out fire res and it gives u little bit cold res. Third your recharge is slower then most.
-
Why even have maneuvers at all when u can SC your def with out it? There is alot I agree with EJI but I have a WP/SS tank I like and have been playing it for all sorts of things without any problems.

I looked at your build and most of what rangle said I agree with. My fav tank is my FA/Fire tank and one of the things I point out to PPl is the KB prot most ppl over look. Here is my build for my tank.

A few things about barrier (I have to get mine changed :P ) it is nice to get if u want extra def and or res. But if u like to do HAMI like I do it is pointless on a HAMI raid. Rebirth is nice for the regain if u go that way or if u go to the other side the heal is nice too. Agility dose not reduce end it increase your end mod.

OK I FA is one of of my fav tanks out there and i have a few. First off like mention before switch out your aegis for reactive armor. And I feel the same way with spring attack as rangle dose. Most of the Higher level content will have more then 4 KB I would add a few more KB protection to your build by adding a KB proc to your SJ. The scirocco's in your Darc Consuption is a waist for the set bonus since u are over your rule of 5 there. Just remember that most content in gam has s/l then eng/neg that is where you want to try to concentrate your def at. I would tinker a bit with it but I do not have the time to at this time.
