Invul does really well with rebirth (not that elec doesn't) but I don't find that elec "needs" rebirth to the same degree (need obviously subjective here).

That frees up the slot for something else. Barrier has become silly. I tried ageless and I have to say that stacking with other IOs and powers, having a minimum of 80 percent recharge/slow resist and 95% tohitdebuff, stacked up on all the other percs is awefully nice. Having solid def debuff resists for a meaningful time isn't just a consolation prize.

EDIT: I can't honestly say Ive tried rebirth core on electric (or anywhere). I wouldn't expect the opportunity cost of those HP would be worth it... but it IS there...

Yes invul can take ageless too, but there are places where the sustained HP recovery on Invul without rebirth is low enough to be at least worth commenting on.

I think you're asking the wrong question. CoH is not WoW with an 'endgame' - if it did have an 'endgame', that endgame most certainly wouldn't be trials.

Trials are about the most trivial thing you'll do at 50. It doesn't really matter what set you choose because there will be so many buffs/heals floating around that the various minor differences are meaningless. Pretty much any resist-based Tanker is a beast in trials.

A larger concern would be what you can do when you're not in trials - either solo or in small groups.

Anything like "no one can do" which to me can seem like something along the lines of "If I can't do it no one can" so also that means telling people what they "need" or would "want" although to most people its a lazy way of saying what's preferable.

Look, you're proud of what you accomplished, and I can't fault you for that. I don't have anything against you personally. But anyone who defends the current state of Tankers is just allowing them continue getting screwed over, just as they were screwed out of Fury and thrown under the bus by the devs to be low damage decoys.

In other words, if you're not part of the solution, you're part of them problem.

The fact of the matter is, I've tanked Kronos without buff or heal support many times on both Tankers AND Brutes. The fact that Brutes can do that at all and still get to have great damage while Tankers are kneecapped is a travesty.
