Hello to all the Dominators out there. Im here because i need a little help picking a power set for my first Dominator. Ive never issue with any other archtype except Dominators. I just cant Figure them out. My issue is with picking the powersets.
I want to make a dominator who has decent crowd control for teams, and can do good damage from afar, but is also easy to solo at the start. For primaries I was almost certain about picking Mind Domination, but what worries me are the two abilities Total Domination, and Aura of Confusion. The are the heavy controls that can help Mind stay up their with other power sets late game, but these powers have high cooldown times, and unlike most people, ive yet to really dip into IO's, so i dont expect to have perma domination, or anything close to it on this toon......ever (Or maybe in the next 5 years). So I'm still thinking about that.
As for Secondaries i was thinking along the lines of Ice or Psi. From my experience with a Fire / Kinetics Controller i made awhile back, i know i don't want to be anywhere near melee, cuz often enough, when flash fire wears off I'm pretty much dead. With Ice or Psi i manage by staying in the back of the group and avoid instant death from fists in my face.
If there is anyone out there how might a helpful tip, or some advise i could use for picking power sets, i would really be appreciated.
Note: I plan to solo mostly between levels 1-25, but after that Im hoping i can become useful on teams
