This mission is a one of the most difficult trials that is out there.

Missions:

1. Defeat aliens in abandoned sewers: Defeat 150 Rikti, (There are a lot of Rikti by the Skyway city entrance to the ASN.)

2.Once finished, the person that got the mission has to go back to Meran and she will give you a code to use on a computer to open a door in the middle of abandoned sewers(this will be marked on your map). Use the acess code to enter.

3. Clean out the maintenance room: 1:30:00 Time limit.
You must fight your way thru lvl 42 Rikti and Kraken monsters. There will be 8 gun boxes as glowies that you must use against the Hydra Head and tentacles. Thermal Cannon is for the tentacles and Particle Cannon is for the Hydra Head.

You have to destroy 4 Force Field Generators (guarded by Rikti and 1 Kraken) at that same time to lower the shield protecting the Hyrda AV head.

Use the Thermal cannons to destroy the tentacles. Beware aggro on Hydra Head. It uses Psychic tornado and has a one shot psychic attack killer.

After all 4 FF gens are destroyed at you use the Particle cannon on the Head, then the shield will come back up and more Rikti will spawn with the FF gens back at full health.

So this must be repeated until Hydra head is defeated.

Rewards: You will also receive the Exploration badge Head of the Hydra, where the head is, and the badge Charmer for defeating the Hydra Head. That and a nice amount of exp/inf/Debt-B-Gone for defeating the Hydra Head, and for finishing the mission.


Also note that as long as you have not outleveled the Trial you can do it over as many times as you want until you complete it. And you will not have to take down the 150 Rikti after the first time.

Okay so I've heard near enough every derogatory comment about this set. It also belongs to my 1st toon ever, when I was a complete n00b (maybe still am!) & chose it.

Some say it's completely useless just by concept! I disagree, you can hold them off with immob, slow them down, slip them all up & if they come too near you can slice them with your trusty ice sword.

Now that it's strongly a CoPvP game - the one I didn't buy from the shop shelf , yes it's not that much use in pvp, I'd agree, if you're going for the blap approach it doesn't compete with your average bonesmasher or charged brawl. I also feel that maybe a couple of powers could be changed to make it better for pvp & to equal out the sets, something like Greater Icesword, Bitter Torrent (bit like energy torrent but with knockback & DoT) or some more damage on frozen fists?

I'm not really all that fussed about negative the comments I've had Had this toon over 1 year now & have learned the advantages as well as the weaknesses. Besides that I love this toon & very attached to what I have created

It's one of the best, if not the best!!, hence me trying it 7 times!!

It shouldn't take much more than 2 hours, perhaps set aside 2hrs 30mins to be on the safe side.

Would everyone be interested in doing this tomorrow night Tuesday 7:30pm GMT , meet by Spirit of Woodsman at the Hive marker (the subsection of Eden not the zone).

For anyone who hasn't tried the trial yet, there's a good guide here , albeit 'slightly' out of date with regards to the special enhancement at the completion!

Doesn't explain anything considering that I've tried this 7 times as I say, have been on teams with scrappers too & still failed.

Yes, getting ambrosia, making sure that everyone has at least 5 ambrosia's. Just doesn't seem to be enough damage on facing Titan!
Had several set-ups, the most recent was a team of:
2 stone tanks (not the greatest for holding aggro admitted!)3 blasters
2 controllers (both emp)
1 defender (kin)

Anyone like to form a 'super team' for this?

After trying 7 times & not managing the last GM, I really want to put a team together so that I can finally see the end of this tf!

I really don't want to waste another couple of hours to find that it can't be completed, this does get to you eventually
