something similar to writers block... but affects an artists ability to complete his work due to worry of ruining it

I had a dose of this while my painting of Shadow Fury was in mid flow! not nice
& btw Raz, great work. I love the one your currently colouring, you have done some nice floral curves, and the 2 forms at the back look great -

Very cool, I love the background. My only criticism is that the circles in the foreground on the floor are a bit hard and could maybe be blurred out a little as they are kind of distracting. But as a whole a very cool picture and great colouring.

Yes, they are a little stark, I may redo that part when I get a chance.
Thanks for the c & c -

Constructive comments & criticism always appreciated -
I really like the style of this & like many others who've remarked on her face, I really love the expression you have captured
Perhaps, colour the lines of the majority of the flames & her hair yellow/light orange, add more light colour & shade, it would give the pic more definition.
Nice work -
Thanks very much Phil
I love your 'Phil got owned' sequence, cracks me up -
Really nice work again Swissy, and great idea, composition
I think taking her out for dinner, you'd need a table for 3!
BIG Congrats on 50 Sister Kinetic -

Yes, going to order Photoshop CS very soon, such an expense though, it's going to hurt! -
The tutorial is very basic, I was just inspired by the way the picture was built up
and you should definately check his (he's a he not a she! my bad!)other stuff too, totally amazing
Incidently, this was done in Photoshop CS, which I don't have..yet!
Tutorial -
Thanks very much
I didn't use any sketching at all, and it's really thanks to the inspiration I got from a fantastic Japanese artist on Deviant Art (can't remember her name right now, but can look her up if you want to know) who creates stunning work in this manner.
I just made a very rough squiggle of thick lines in Open Canvas, then slapped lots of different tones of colour in the appropriate places & built it up, using oil brushes throughout -
Here's the correct version!
Superman
By accident I posted another version (1 of my many alt saves!), hence probably why there was a silence here. -
Thanks for that Swissy, I took your advice and tried to resolve the left eye issue, background added!

Comments welcome -
This is my tribute, and it's not Elvis either! (no offence
)
Painted from scratch, without sketching 1st.
He's BACK!
Unfortunately there was some loss in quality from the original format
Hope you like it! -
Yeah a long day and tiresome journey, I just felt like doing something silly & I came up with this! felt like sharing it too! Thanks Cap
-
Drawing is very detailed & the painted finish is great!
Nice work both of you -
Okay, just got back after a long journey and started buzzing around with Zbrush!
Here's what I came up with: Cute Pokemonesque pink funky thing!
It was a quicky!! -

Very! Does she have a brother called Damien?!
Coloured really well though -
Actually disregard what I just said, it really doesn't stick out much, I was being bit too picky - I love it anyhow

Heya!
I've been doing some more pencil sketches lately and even got access to working to scanner. Yay!
Here's Inago
and Jester and Inago
Thanks Sexy for putting the pics up for me (I was being lazy :P) though I don't know why Jester and Inago pic is so small, it was four times as big when I sent it.
Feedback very welcome!

Great stuff as usual Blackdoveyou've captured emotion nicely in the 2nd picture.
My only comment would be that, on the left side of the sketch (viewers right) the checkered pattern doesn't quite fit his body; the pattern wouldn't sit that straight, though the edge of the picture is very close so it's not really much of a problem.
Keep it up, you're producing some great stuff
