Not sure how long you've been gone, but just so you know, you now also have City of Heroes now (in case you didn't know)

Who the he'll is this Philotic Knight guy anyway. Never seen him around here before......
[/ QUOTE ]
He's the guy that's always posting incredibly long winded posts. This post was actually shockingly short by his standards.
Also, I could say the same about you. Never seen a single post by you before

* Laments the fact that "snarky" still doesn't work very well on teh Intarwebs....
Of course, I know who PK/Teh Gangsta/PostKount...etc is. I was just making a point that after using the name Philotic Knight for so long on so many different servers, then killing the Philotic Knight in an MA arc, then changing his forum name several times over the last few months (even having contest for forumgoers to select the new name and avatar), He is right back to using the old name.....for now.
[/ QUOTE ]
What the hell? I missed that much by just not reading the boards for a couple months? His avatar did seem a bit funny now that you mention it... :-/ -
RadioFreedom had to deal with this issue (mostly that years of old lapsed accounts were clogging the channel) by creating a new channel and migrating to it.

Which isn't what I was talking about. Unlikely usually means far less than a chance of 50%, not "no ULTIMATE PROOF."
[/ QUOTE ]
As I said before, the list was basically items that had all been shot down by the devs as being highly unlikely. Assuming that any of them were likely because of a 3rd party marketing survey was and still is rather silly. -
[ QUOTE ]
however, what you missed in my original post is the internet... check your ingame email... everyday you get an email from someone that will sell you ANYTHING in coh... all I am saying is if someone is going to make money off the game... I would prefer to see nc make it
[/ QUOTE ]
Right now the impact on the game world is some spam emails in your inbox, and tiny amount of people with more money than sense (and slightly less money, yet no more sense).
If NC got invovled, you'd now have the generation of these things out of thin air, instead of some one having to spend the time to actually make it to sell. That'll DESTROY the in-game economy, meaning if you actually wanted to be able to buy anything, you'd likely need to use real money.
[ QUOTE ]
ill bet a good percentage of the people with long term vet rewards are not even the original account owners... how does that make you feel now :0
[/ QUOTE ]I'll take that bet, I could use some extra money. I'll put it towards buying Going Rogue and the Magic booster pack (Science seems a bit 'eh' to me). Also, I could use a new shuriken or two (DAMN TSA STOLE THE ONE I BOUGHT LAST WEEK!)
-
Better solution: Change the silly system to not penalize people for paying early.
(in addition to the auto payment system) -

Have you LOOKED at the size of the 'giant' monsters on red side? I have a feeling they could fit in most anywhere no problem
(then again, these cities would make Yao Ming feel short as is) -
[ QUOTE ]
i recall a red name post some time ago that discussed the possibility of merging all servers into one environment
[/ QUOTE ]
This was Positron when they were adding the server transfer feature as part of a 'we won't give refunds due to future changes' disclaimer. It wasn't even a 'we're thinking about doing this'.
[ QUOTE ]
including the ability to travel on foot/flight/whatever from atlas to peregrine (give or take a war wall). i haven't been able to find the post since though dammit.
[/ QUOTE ]
I can't recall any dev ever talking about seriously doing this... it'd likely require a MASSIVE engine overhaul... and probably much higher system requirements, as players can travel quite fast in this game compared to other games with a seamless world. -
[ QUOTE ]
What the heck made you think any of it was unlikely?
[/ QUOTE ]
It was basically a list of things the devs had said in the past would likely never happen.
[ QUOTE ]
And the idea that blanket dismissing things that made it into an OFFICIAL MARKETING SURVEY is rational is... ludicrous.
[/ QUOTE ]Dismissing the idea that 'OMG ITS ULTIMATE PROOF THEY'RE DOING IT!!!!' is rather reasonable... as it's a marketing survey. -

Second link is broken.
[/ QUOTE ]Both work perfectly fine for me. Are you getting a 404 error? Redirect-for-no-hot-linking? No such domain? Broken can mean so many different things -
Re: Fort vs NW, I'd say roll both... there's a reason you got dual builds
They have drastically playstyles, as well as drastically different advantages and disadvantages. If you find that you really don't enjoy one of them, you can always respec it later.

This has got to be the biggest waste of developer time ever. I would rather have them fix bugs and address longstanding problems. I don't really see the thrill in changing the color of the same power animation, yawn.
[/ QUOTE ]
First, whether or not YOU care, an awful lot of people DO care and have been asking for it for a long time. Second, bugfixes are something done on a continuous basis, not as a special issue. And an issue dedicated to bugfixing would anger most of the playerbase, and leave many of the devs idle anyway.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which'll also trigger lots of 'you fixed THAT but not THIS?' complaints. -

/unsigned just on principle. The game is based on american comic books/superheroes, not japanese ones.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, because the difference is so vast.
[/ QUOTE ]
Of course they're completely different! I mean, have you looked at those Japanese costumes! They're so unrealistic, unlike all those ones used by American super heroes!
(then again, maybe I'm a bit biased)

In i16, you'll be able to customize the big pile of poo to be a big warm pile of poo! No more dry poo for you!

Even in the pictures that we have, it's just the pets having different colors. It's certainly not going to approach one pet turning into three little pets.

To save other people the trouble,
<ul type="square">[*]2.) Characters that do not wish to change sides are rewarded by becoming exemplary heroes or villains, and earning rewards not available any other way - possibly different or cut[/list]
[/ QUOTE ]
I hope that's cut. I'd prefer that the choice of whether a character switches sides or not was done based on character-based reasons, not what rewards they might or might not get a shot at.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think the idea here is that if you have a hero character, who's never going to 'go rogue' and become a villain, you could instead continue to do heroic things and eventually become an exemplary hero...at which point, you'd have access to rewards not available in other ways.
Whereas exemplary villains would just get shafted cause we hate them.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wait, when were you hired by ccp? First you're duping rares, now out right admitting that you're rigging things for a certain faction! -
The Cavern of Transcendence Trial grants the aptly named Transcendent accomplishment badge (not part of any accolades), as well as 7 reward merits.

Must mean he was unlocked out of his cage, may mean his work with power customization is complete and I16 will be here a month after 15 hits live.

That, or he's only NOW starting to work on Power Customization, and what Posi posted was done using Photoshop. I'd imagine that most of the devs here post the most when they're actually doing "work" -

For those still with us (all of you who haven't already canceled your accounts due to impending nerfs related to your choice of power colors)...
[blink]THIS WHOLE THREAD IS A JOKE[/blink]
[/ QUOTE ]
For those who have cancelled, power customization nerfed your sense of humor by more than 20%.
[/ QUOTE ]
Reducing 0 by 20% still results in 0.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which raises the question: Was the sense of humor actually even reduced by 20%? If not, then I say this thread is bugged, and we must have emergency forum server maintenance to fix it!
I'm sure a shotgun directed at the face will fix any problems! -
Possibly with i16, which might maybe possible could maybe possibly have Power Customization (did I say it might only maybe have it?
), you might be able to change the appearance of pets.
Maybe. -
[ QUOTE ]
You do not achieve balance in a game by buffing everything across the board. It doesn't make things better, it takes more work buffing the ATs, and eventually creates a game where all of the content is too easy, because you haven't buffed the enemies to deal with the increase in player power.
[/ QUOTE ]
But this is the beauty of the suggest! You also buff the enemies! You buff everything! Constant buffs to all! By the end of the year, everyone will be doing hundreds of millions of damage with every attack, and have trillions of hit points!
Seriously, though: This method will either end up with enemies that are a flat out joke (which most are pretty close to being as is), or the enemies will also get buffed, so you end up at exactly the same spot, but taking about 100x the effort, all in a futile attempt to make people 'feel good'. Buffs and Nerfs are two edges of the same sword.
Edit: Anyone remember when Indom Will was bugged for Widows on test, where for some reason it had a +Regen component that made even Instant Healing look like a joke? If that had slipped through to live some how, EVERY other set in the game would have had to be buffed instead of one power being 'nerfed'! -

Added a note to pieces of the Soulbound Allegiance IO set that will warn the player that slotting this enhancement into a pet power that summons a pet that is lower than level 50 will result in the pet not benefiting from the effects of the enhancement.
[/ QUOTE ]
Uhhhhh ...
Does this mean that Fire Imps gain no benefit from this set?
And ... have they ever?
[/ QUOTE ]From the wording of it, it sounds like they never benefited and this is just a text change to make it known. -
[ QUOTE ]
I don't see a vines mask option?
[/ QUOTE ]The vines option isn't in the Mask categories, but in the same section as the faces (the one with the face paints, like 50/50 and the eye shadow ones).
[ QUOTE ]
I also don't see the cape option either.
[/ QUOTE ]The patch notes said there's a bug with it not showing up on females, might be the issue.
