They're "new", but they're not actually available in the game yet. Likely, it's a slip of something from Going Rogue (a while back, some recipes got accidentally added to the market before being added to the game in a later issue).
[/ QUOTE ]
Already? Seems like they would be from the Science Booster or I16. Going Rogue is still a ways off....
[/ QUOTE ]
If you look at the descriptions, you'll see all of them reference Praetorian stuff... that's why I figured Going Rogue. -

What you're doing should work... and BBhumeBB's suggestion should work as well (I use his method, since the button didn't exist until much more recently).
I'm not sure why what you're doing doesn't work... or how Steam would really mess it up, that's a really odd problem. But I'd suggest trying the /bindsavefile method, first using something like "/bindsavefile binds.txt" (fyi, the "_" in slashcommands are optional, I prefer without)... if that doesn't work for some odd reason, you can try to force it with "/bindsavefile C:\binds.txt", or to another location you can write to instead.
Good luck! If it doesn't work, I'd suggest asking about your problem in the Tech Issues section, they're generally more familiar with why stuff breaks. -

Oooh, should we ever get a nicer fox-looking head and tail, I will be making the little white-armored fox. That was my favorite.

Between Guild Wars and the AI of certain NPCs already in the game, my only reply to this has to be "If I wanted to die quicker, I could do so without their help."

This. If you're not sure what we're talking about, go run any of the missions that involve Fusionette as an ally, then come back and you'll /unsign your own suggestion.

But I like Fusionette -

To elaborate- At level 30, you go talk to the City Hall Representative (for heroes) or your beginning contact (for villains)
Right? I think?
[/ QUOTE ]
Correct. From them you will receive a series of missions. Once you complete the missions you are awarded an Aura. Hoorah!
Good luck and welcome to the game!
[/ QUOTE ]
One minor technical comment, you are awarded the ABILITY to have an aura. You must purchase the actual aura from the tailor (or use a costume change token). An aura does NOT automatically appear the moment you finish the mission.
[/ QUOTE ]Just to nitpick: You're not purchasing the aura, but paying for Icon/Facemaker to perform the service of adding the aura... if you then change to a different aura, then change back... it isn't free
(this is fun!)

Does that mean nothing is more sinister than Infernal or Malaise?
Of course, that's only the pattern for Good Guys Gone Bad. For Bad Guys Gone Good, the pattern seems to be to merely inverse part of the name.... So Pantless Giant would become Pantsful Giant! But what about names where there's no clear inversion? Say, Bob Newhart? Dick Van [censored] really isn't the inversion....

Possibly move the whole game off of opengl and on to direct x so we dont have as many compatibility issues.
[/ QUOTE ]And a million (okay, 25) Mac users cried out in pain.

How does blizzard do it? They obviously don't code their modern games with an OpenGL graphics model yet have Mac Compatability.
[/ QUOTE ]Blizzard's engines can use either OpenGL or Direct3D on Windows, and use OpenGL on all other platforms. Direct3D is a Microsoft controlled technology, and it only appears on Microsoft-controlled environments (Windows, XBox360... not counting Wine/Transgaming's reverse engineering).
[/ QUOTE ]
In that case, I can see why porting COH to D3D only would piss ppl off since its only a windows thing.
[/ QUOTE ]
The best 'very long term investment, screw the budget!' plan would be to do the same thing as the companies that just make engines (like Epic, the maker of the Unreal Engine), is to abstract out the backends, so that you can support both Direct3D as well as OpenGL... but not only that! You could also support using multiple versions of Direct3D (say, Direct3D 9 on XP, 10 on Vista and newer) as well as multiple versions of OpenGL (OpenGL 2.1, as well OpenGL 3.0).
This'd future proof you, as well as making the engine more portable to different platforms. -

I do find maxed-out boob sliders with Eden tops a bit distasteful - sue me. Whatever gets your thrills...
[/ QUOTE ]
Technical question: I've got an older computer and a less powerful video card. My settings are kept on the low end. At higher video settings, do these maxed out racks still go all Buckminster Fuller?
Honestly, that is the part I find most distasteful of all. Without vertex shading it just looks corny. Nevermind trying someone trying to look like Powergirl.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have a feeling the chest slider "maxed to the right" looks freakishly silly regardless of your video card.
To be honest I don't really mind that our game's chest slider maxes out as far as it does. I've never set one of mine out that far but if that's your thing then more power to you. I'm actually more upset that the smallest you can set it is still roughly C-cup sized. I have several characters who are either thin, small or young enough who would realistically be either flat-chested or nearly flat-chested but I can't set them that way.
Maybe someday this game (or another) will allow that kind of realism. *shrugs*

Blame Statesman. Back in the late 80's, he took everyone in Washington hostage until Congress agreed to pass a law mandating that all females had to get implants.

A true hero to men everywhere, of course. *le giggle*

If I wasn't so lazy, I'd link to the post where I said Statesman was just as evil as Tyrant and Nazi-man. -

Yeah, what I'm seeing in the updater is the main page for the cityofheroes.com website. Putting that into a non-resizeable window would be flunking Basic Web Design 101, so I suspect it's an error.

This.
Being forced to scroll using multiple scroll bars to be able to read/see anything would be a horribly bad idea. -
Go back to AE. You can make obscenely hard enemies with that... even more so now that you can give custom critters extra powers from their sets.

?
Mine is just showing cityofheroes.com for some reason (which REALLY doesn't fit in that window!) -

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Sucker Punches' is the most current online builder... which isn't all that current.
Unfortunately, even Mid's isn't that current at the moment (although it's being worked on again). -

More tilesets are always nice. Also, offices that don't exist inside the TARDIS would be lovely as well.
