I like the OP's suggestion, the current system can be misleading to new players. Although, I'd prefer if the arc still opened at level 0... except you only got notified about it at level 15... which I'm not sure they can do.
I also don't think it'd hurt to scale back AE's presence some... they did go a bit crazy with the number of places they added. -
Nope, no ToHit debuff... But the procs for those sets would still work in it

Well first off, what AT?
[/ QUOTE ]
Since this is the Corruptor forum . . . I'll take a wild guess and say "Corruptor".
[/ QUOTE ]
/facepalm
Yeah, those numbers look right for a Corruptor, give or take a couple % based on the exact enhancements used. -
Well first off, what AT? Different ATs have different modifiers, so they'll end up doing different amounts... but Mid's should show you the exact amount, just slot TB as you'd want it to be slotted, then turn on Power Boost (make the dot next to the name green by cllcking on it), then check TB's numbers.

That means people I spammed just 3 days ago are now able to spam me again!
[/ QUOTE ]Banned accounts can't spam. The accounts being /ignorespammer'ed / marked as spam should be being banned rather quickly.
[ QUOTE ]
Because the first freaking month is free! All they have to do is cancel the account before the first payment is due, that way they are no longer trial accounts and can send all the spam the want.
[/ QUOTE ]No it's not, you have to pay for the activation code. -

No, just trying to figure out how to spend upwards of $3000 on a system.
[/ QUOTE ]
Easy: Give me $2000, and build a very nice system for $1,000. -
I have a Fox-spirit that carries a large assault rifle, trip mines, a targeting drone, stealth suit, mobile weapons platform, web grenade, caltrops, and several other ultra high tech devices.
She is, of course, Natural origin.
I've also ret-conned my Elec/Elec Brute to being Natural origin (unfortunately I picked Magic when I first rolled him, I've since modified the concept). He doesn't actually have any special powers, he's just completely psychotic and thinks he does... and of course, as the person playing him, you think you're using Lightning Rod when in reality you're just running over to them and flailing your arms wildly. It would have been even better if I had rolled him as Elec/Dark, then I could have given him a fear-aura to more accurately describe how people react! -
Don't we have loincloths from one of the holiday events?

Regardless of what you put in the game, some will play for concept or for fun, and some will play for min/maxing.
[/ QUOTE ]And the Developers should make sure that the gap between the two is as small as possible.
[ QUOTE ]
Just because a blaster chooses to use AR as opposed to Energy, and his effectiveness in pvp is considered to be less, does that mean that Energy should not exist because it's too overpowered in such a state?
[/ QUOTE ]It means Energy or AR are out of line and need to be fixed.
Besides, both Kheldians and Soldiers of Arachnos are rather free-form. -

Also note that most, if not all mobs in the shadow shard can see through stealth, even super speed. So don't even think about ghosting missions there.
[/ QUOTE ]
And the Eye balls have crazy to hit, so if your a defense set like /SR it is going to hurt.
[/ QUOTE ]
The first time my Spines/SR Scrapper went against an eye ball boss... I had to use Elude... and they STILL hit me like I didn't have anything on! I was one sad panda -
*cough*Issue 16*cough*
(wow, for once we don't have to answer Power Customization questions with dispair!)
-
There's a lot of lost problems out there, all alone, and afraid... in the dark...
-
You mean the whole arms flailing while going 'omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg i'm gonna diiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeee omg omg omg omg omg this is really high up omg omg omg omg omg omg-' then suddenly be standing on the ground in Firebase Zulu while everyone is snickering at you for being a total noob to the shard?

When a player is in phase, they can still lay down traps like caltrops, acid mortar, etc. that effect others?
I thought if a player is phased that they are out of sync with reality, so how is it possible then for these items to effect another player before the person laying the traps unphases?
By effect I mean cause damage, hold or slow. I've always wondered this, just never bothered to ask before now.
Anyone have an explaination?
[/ QUOTE ]
Concept wise, you could argue that once the object (calitrops, mortar, etc) leaves the players 'phase field' (for lack of a better word), ie thrown or layed down, they phase back into normal reality, but before the players uses them, they are phased with him.
[/ QUOTE ]
I second this explanation, as I was going to offer it myself before I noticed your post. It's like things being dropped by an invisible character becoming visible again in common fiction all the time.
[/ QUOTE ]
Characters out of phase with reality releasing an object so that it phases back into reality and causes damage is a very old trope in fiction and comics. This is used to eavesdrop, harass, injure and occasionally kill. In fiction it often causes severe trauma or instant death when done as an attack. Occasionally on a thermonuclear bomb level.
[/ QUOTE ]
So you're saying attacks while phased should land criticals? And why can't my AR Blaster use Full Auto while phased for bonus damage? -

Galaxy City

That's Freedom Corps.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which is lead by what? That's right, the Freedom Phalanx! -
Go to Skyway City, then it's either on the north end or south end (honestly can't remember off the top of my head, it'll be on the map). You can also get there through the manhole cover exit in Pocket D.

Just wondering if the same npc's in AE will count?
[/ QUOTE ]No, AE NPCs don't count towards non-AE badges. -
Stealth powers will make you partly transparent. Although I'm always in support of more auras.
-
I like it when pets over aggro when I'm on my Thermal... I can let them do all the work while I keep them alive
But I've personally never had a problem with the NPCs like Fusionette and Lady Jane that everyone always hates. -
[ QUOTE ]
Well I know 1 million isn't that much to me, but I've been playing a long time. I would definitely pay to level up in AE.
[/ QUOTE ]In other words, lets make it so the Elite can farm in peace while all that riff raff is kept out? Yeah, I'm gonna say 'no'.
[ QUOTE ]
There should be some fee. Why are they letting us use their expensive equipment anyway?
[/ QUOTE ]Because Dr. Aeon gets to record all sorts of information about our powers while we use the system? He's hardly letting us use it without benefit. -
[ QUOTE ]
Has anyone else gone without the travel pools at all?
[/ QUOTE ]My Bane didn't pick up a travel power until she hit the 40s... and I only picked up Super Speed because I had already picked up Hasten about 20 levels earlier so it was open, and had nothing else I was really interested in.
[ QUOTE ]
Does it have an adverse impact?
[/ QUOTE ]No, especially with the massive amount of travel powers available to you in-game... there's also the raptor pack you can buy for 10k inf an infinite number of times that lasts for 2 hours in Grandville (can't stack though, only 1 Raptor Pack at a time). It's fairly easy to completely ignore travel powers.
