Don't you wanna have a little look at the leak? Just a little peek? You know you wanna! -
Do a mayhem mission, and after your broker should introduce you to a new contact.

In this game, the "supplier" is an NPC which means its beyond either the buyer or seller's ability to claim responsibility.
[/ QUOTE ]No, the NPC is the raw and unprocessed supplies. It's not the seller (which is what the supplier is). Only a small percentage of the crude (NPCs) will result in any products (the purples). No price gouging is occuring.
If you're going to try to blame the drop rate, the closest analogy would be government regulations, not the concept of "price gouging" which most definitely does not mean what you think it does. -

You are wrong. MA missions are being used by the majority to farm and power level. That was not the intent. Reduce the rewards by half and let the MA missions be for story telling.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'll bold it so maybe you get the point.
Nobody is going to waste their game time on junk that pays out 1/2 rewards
Except those five RP'ers.
It needs competitive rewards to be useful and the devs know this.
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe only malformed custom groups could have reward nerfs? Like say, a group with just one enemy in it means you'll get 1/4 XP for defeating them. I doubt this will effect any legitimate players/creators.
[/ QUOTE ]
A much more fundamental fix would be an 'army list' build system.
So many minions let you add a lieutentant and you get one boss per map, something like that.
Wargames have used the system since the dawn of time to prevent 'top loading' your army with l337 troops and ignoring the cannon fodder.
In this case, it would prevent gamers from stuffing their maps with high reward enemies.
[/ QUOTE ]Why do you need multiple types of minions? The spawn tables will make sure that they're spawned correctly... the problem, though, comes about with groups that don't have members in 2 of the 3 categories, which breaks the spawn tables.
(though, for 'boss' objectives, not having an appropriately built group is fine, since they're not using the spawn tables anyways) -

As for the dev dungeon in Grandville, I've hunted many times but never been able to find it.
[/ QUOTE ]If you want to be a lamer, you can look at my youtube profile watch my video where I go from the area of Spider City right in front of the central tower to the secret room. Fiarly certain that's the video people already mentioned in this thread -

If you type [reveal] into chat in game it generates clickable info link. (Didn't see that mentioned here or in the other thread, but i'm getting a bit sleepy, so this may be redundant.)
[/ QUOTE ]And for those that haven't tried, it has the same icon, its short description is "Clear Fog of War" and the long description is " Your extensive knowledge of your surroundings will allow you to clear the "Fog of War" from any map once every 5 minutes.". -

Some sites in the case of WoW have been known to use scripting on their webpage to infect computers with keyloggers.
[/ QUOTE ]No one's gonna target the browser with 1% market share!
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not targeting any browser specifically. Unless you go into the settings to actively disable scripting on all websites or have an addon like NoScript for Firefox that'll allow you to pick and choose which sites to allow, any modern browser can be hit by it. ( I actually think IE can inherently be set now to that functionality, by the way... )
[/ QUOTE ]Exploits that can run arbitrary code (thus be capable of installing a keylogger) are generally always browser (/engine) specific. Javascript can't normally be used to install a keylogger on someone's computer, it's only through a flaw in the engine (virtual machine, interpreter, whatever) that it can be done.
Preventing all scripting also won't protect you from all exploits, as you can also attack the system via plugins like the Flash player (which NoScript usually stops) or by directly targeting the HTML rendering engine (which NoScript can't do anything against). -

Put simply, the portable workbench is simply not good enough to be worth the investment of effort.
[/ QUOTE ]Which is why it should get better uptime. 5 minutes duration with 10 recharge isn't something that'd be potentially abusable (like the chain-explode thing as already mentioned), but it'd actually be better than the base teleporter trick that was already mentioned in this thread! -

I often wonder if NCSoft has ever, in the interest of this remaining a casual MMO for casual players who don't have hundreds of hours to spend in game, considered selling Merits for money in the NCSoft online store.
[/ QUOTE ]If they want CoX to remain a casual MMO, they'll never, ever, do this idea. -
What's the hardware in your machine? Especially video card?
The Technical Issues and Bugs section of the forum is likely the best place to get help for tech issues. -

Dual Builds and AE kinda played a hand in the price gouging of purples recipes.
[/ QUOTE ]That word you use... I don't believe it means what you think it means. -
All thet travel powers are questionable. Sprint works quite well for me on multiple characters, not to mention the ready availability of Zero-G and Raptor Packs.

2. Little damage resistance. The set is designed around defense, which is great, until the one alpha that slips by and fries you, especially psionics.
[/ QUOTE ]Defense, unlike Resistance, allows you to go into situations that you shouldn't survive, and survive them due to lucky rolls. The same mechanic allows the reverse to happen... it's important to keep that in context, lest people think that Defense is inherently inferior to resistance, when in reality they work out to being the same.
[ QUOTE ]
The only power that offers substantial dmg res is a crash ability.
[/ QUOTE ]You get a decent amount from a few powers, plus -dmg which is equivalent to +res, as well as +HP which is also equivalent to +res. It's not a massive amount, but combined with the defense it's very nice numbers.
[ QUOTE ]
Think the old school MoG in regen but without the first health crash.
[/ QUOTE ]Dear god no. One With the Shield doesn't cripple all of your other powers when activated! It's much more like Strength of Will than MoG! It only has a -60% Endurance crash, with no -Recovery crash than many of the other tier9s have (as well as no -HP!). It's a very minor "crash". -

The Jump Pack will put you to the cap pretty much on its own... but the jump pack is limited to 30 seconds of usage at a time (with no global +recharge, it's up only 1/5th the time).
[/ QUOTE ]
You said there was no global recharge. Does that mean, even if I set up some IO sets that reduce recharge time, the jump pack will NOT get their benefits?
[/ QUOTE ]No, I was saying that if you didn't have global recharge, that's how often it'd be up... because with Hasten/set bonuses/etc, it'd be up more often (but I gotta question your sanity if you're building a +recharge build in the hopes of getting the GVE Jump Pack up as much as possible).

Beef Cake's TP Resist.
[/ QUOTE ]Well, considering they've only been in the game for a short while, and have been bugged to not drop for a good while as well, it's not shocking that they go for extreme prices... the amount in the game and unslotted is going to be rather tiny, while the demand is only going to be increasing. -

After suffering Reichman which is supposed to be an AV, an as the usual AV defeat I am rewarded with maybe an enhancement single of the wrong type, perhaps we can re-look at the whole AV structure.
[/ QUOTE ]That's what the Task/Strike Force reward is for. -
[ QUOTE ]
There's just no way the casual player is ever going to afford a purple recipe now - or is that the idea?
[/ QUOTE ]Purples aren't targeted at the casual player. Purples are targeted at the people that wanted super rare loot- loot that was hard to get even for them.
Not everything in the game has to be centered around the lowest common denominator. -

Honestly, I think pretty much all the badges are too easy to get (with a few exceptions like Empathy which is just silly)... I don't think that everyone should be automatically guaranteed to be able to get every badge- I thought the Winter Event's race badges were pretty good, since they actually took some effort and practice to get!
Like-wise, after starting crafting in earnest, the Accolade doesn't really look to be that hard to get... not to mention get the memorization badge for every single common IO in the game which has huge benefits, as well as 2 other pseudo-accolades.
