I thought bobcat was the praetorian version of Minx... ya know... a female? Which'd firmly place her into the category of 'catgirl', which means we should confine her to virtue with the rest of the catgirls, lest the disease spread!

I'd say about half the english language qualifies for that. Take 'size' for instance... it has a freaking Z in it! "si" "ze"... NONESENSE! It looks like some sick parody. Or, how about 'queue'? Redundant letters galore! And what about 'galore'? Monkeyshine? Aardvark? Every single other word in this post?

No. That's the style of a rank amateur. I should know, because that was my (very successful) style in Counter Strike.

The real style is to use the least appropriate weapon possible. Got a large, open field between you and the target? Melee weapon. In a tight, room right next to them? Scoped sniper rifle, maximum zoom. Trying to sneak through a highly secured installation? Shove a flashbang in their pants.

Good news! There is. The devs already know what you're playing and how much. And if only a few people are using that particular exploit, it's generally not a big deal and can be fixed in due time (generally, hopefully before it gets rampant).

We don't need draconian systems (such as leveling caps) that only mask the real issues.

Most of the article is just a quote of a completely different article with factually incorrect information (no, player bans weren't the first solution, they were hardly used at all!). There's really nothing new or insightful in the article.

And basically all of those would require new skeletons, which aren't a trivial matter to add. If they're going to take the time to do all that work, it better be able to be used a lot.

BM/Demon farms aren't close to being the outliers that boss farms, lvl 54s, meow, bubble, etc were. Farming isn't an issue. PLing isn't an issue. The issue is when farming/PLing deviates too far from the rest of the game.

Or, the devs could do the decent thing and fix the PROBLEMS, instead of simply slapping a bandaid on the problem and proclaiming they're done. And the devs are fixing the problem- the changes in i16 will kill basically all the current farms, and greatly lower the value of a few other styles, likely putting the best farms back to being the old style, pre-AE farms (which really weren't that far off from what a good team could do just grinding missions).

Someone else may find another loop hole in AE, but it'll be fixed- and that's much better than messing with the entire system just to fix a trivial problem.

I think it'd work well if they did it in X1999 style. I.E. Statesman is singing to one of the other members of the Freedom Phalanx that just got beat up, and while he's down on his knees over the body, Scirroco just walks up to him and stabs him in the back, and pushes States' body on top of the other body.

Unfortunately, Scirroco is too emo to take advantage of that oppertunity (he's the ONLY villain in Arachnos that'd let them finish).

Usage: bind_load_file takes 1 args, you gave 2.
Reads a list of keybinds from a file.
    bind_load_file <string>

Obviously I am doing it wrong. Any advice?
"bind_load_file" is meant to load a file (ex: /bindloadfile ws-nova.txt). Based on what you wrote, the command you want is:

    /bind R "local I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hit ya... Oh, wait, yeah I did$$powexecname Bash$$bindloadfile C:\keybinds\bash2.txt"

And in the bind files, you'd start at "R" (i.e. the key) and leave off the '/bind' at the start. Also, the _ in the command names are purely optional, in fact, powexecname, pow_exec_name, and p_owe_xe_cna_me are all exactly the same to the game.
  20. According to prior postings by the GMs, it's "Public Test Server"

See this quote by Kerensky (former EU rep):
    Quote:
We do have internal QA servers, yes. But these are running on different hardware and on a different, internal network. That's why we need a "public test server" - to test game builds, database manipulations etc. in a "live"-environment situation.
There's several other references to red names using the term 'public test server' on Google, but unfortunately they all link to the old boards and don't have a cached link.

I'd bet good money that henchmen will be coming pretty soon, as they'd be pretty much the only things left that can't be customized. Weapons were left out (for now, at least) because they can already be customized (via weapon customization). Only so much time, ya know?

    Any other video suggestions?

I tried looking through the keybinding guides in the guide forum, but they just left me more confused. Sure they offered templates for toggling binds (which is what I want to use), but I'm not sure of the /commands needed to input them or if they need to be saved in a folder or something. Thus, more confusion than a room full of mind doms.
That's not confusion, that's fear... and fear is the mind killer.

('cause FW's page covers practically everything about binds... anything else would need more specific information from you first)

I'd highly recommend against raising a process's priority (especially a game's!). On an otherwise idle system, it'll buy you zero, and just increase the odds of CoH trashing the rest of the system if it goes down in flames (as well as potentially encountering priority inversion issues).

If something else is hogging your processor's time, you should either turn it off or lower its priority instead (if it's a real time scanner, messing with priority would either do nothing, or result in priority inversion which'd hurt your performance). Removing any malware, adware, junkware (you know, like 90% of the software installed on any PC bought from an OEM, even an 'optimized' one), disable quicktime, winamp, acrobat, etc's system tray agents (those are generally mostly idle... but they're going to at least take up some precious ram).

IMO, unless it's something like a system service/daemon, you shouldn't ever be raising a process's priority.

    ----

And to answer your question, CoH automatically lowers its priority when it loses focus, and raises it back to 'Normal' when it regains it... there seems to be a second or two delay... which means any adjustments you make would be lost upon switching back to CoH... Likely the only practical way to do it would be to have another application adjust CoH's priority without requiring your intervention. Although, CoH may not keep track of whether it already adjusted its priority and just automatically refresh it periodically, making it impractical to adjust it.

Edit: And just so you know, CoH's priority is at 'Normal' when it has focus, so if you're trying to set it to normal, you really don't need to.
