Quote:I went Spiritual because I also have t3 ageless so I don't have end issues anymore. I also have a Cardiac crafted just in case, but never used it.Ok one other question, what Alpha do people usually take? The Damage Alpha? The End Reduction which also gives the bonus of more resistance?
The damage one is garbage for a Brute. -
Quote:I must admit I lol'ed.hey it could have been worse, you could have been playing a TA defender.
But hey, yesterday I was on my db/elec scrapper (she's 30 on SOs) playing with a buncha 50s - with the ring of doom and the shields I had 75% capped resist to everything but neg and psi and I was charging into pink mobs and they were just melting. When the def quit me and the other scrapper had to be much more careful and everyone took longer to kill stuffs. -
Any primary with lots of mitigation, which btw those two have (SS after footstomp)
I think the best pairing would be Stone Melee and War Mace (not because of the thread, it has an early attack that does knockup, Clobber which is a mag 3 stun and the later ones do stun and KD) - Stone Melee in very end heavy so it's a great pairing since you'll have energy drain and Fault early, I'd go with that. -
Since you're 50 and past the need of slotting the Brute attacks with acc and endred, it's a horrible choice to slot your attacks with Stupefy sets.
Also you should respec and get Energize, it's great for /EA. (5 doctored wounds is what I use, emphasizing recharge, skipping the heal/end)
Combat Jumping only needs the base slot since it has low end cost and well you have energy drain anyway.
2 psi resists IOs won't do you any practical difference.
I left BU out since you didn't pick it... But the PPP pet is bad, especially without slotting.
Btw if you can afford purples you can afford HOs, they're cheaper, I put some but since the build is over the softcap you can replace them. I tried to cap negative, got to 43.8%, I could cap it but you'd lose some recharge. Or you could use Kinetic Combats which I didn't use in this build so that you can get 1.25% e/n def from the other melee set.

Yeah like those empaths taking the medicine pool because they need all the extra green numbers they can get, gotcha.

Quote:Have you seen Virtue's help channel? It's like a chat channel. Same for broadcast in Freedom in some zones (Atlas especially). Now I 'grew up' on Freedom so I'm used to the broadcast and I'm also guilty of chatting in Virtue's help channel, but I can see how that bothers some people. Trust me Exalted's help is just like most other servers I've been on (admittedly haven't played past 20 on Justice and Champion and never played in other servers)I have turned the help channel off on that server. It's flooded with garbage.
Now that doesn't bother me. Exalted is just like any other and unlike some say, there are a lot of new people actually asking for help about 'basic stuff' so it's nice to see that there are new players subscribing to the game.
The two things that bothered me on my main servers aren't really things that occur frequently:
1) Elitists on Freedom who only want speed runs and Stone tankers/kins for whatever - easily avoidable since there are so many TFs and teams for all levels forming all the time you don't ever need to team with them.
2) People on Virtue running regular missions like it was a MoSTF - 'stop aggroing the mob let me herd I'm the tank' - and that's on like, Frostfire with nobody dying (and even if I or the blaster who was aggroing in that occasion too died, we wouldn't blame the Tank or whatnot). But... Easily avoidable too, that happened like 5 times in over 500 missions I've been there, and never happened on TFs. -
Quote:I never either had lag on Freedom (even on my old Core duo mac mini, now I have a new one but did everything fine on the old one) or saw anything you mentioned on Exalted. Of course neither have you, you are 'taking a stand for the poor people who spread rumors'.Well again, I haven't seen it myself but my wife and my best friend both have told me they've been on the receiving end of some needless attitude so that is why I even brought it up. We're all here to have fun and enjoy the game and yes, with Freedom's launch, we've had a major influx of new players. I myself normally play on Freedom, and its nice to come to Exalted to avoid the major lag there. I just think we shouldn't treat anyone differently because they may not know what to do or where to go, etc, etc.

I'm puzzled by Aid Self in the first posted build.
-
Quote:Yeah took me 30 mins on my first time because I fought ambushes, but 15 later by skipping them. And both runs on a completely unslotted level 14 (15 on second run) human PBI ran this arc on 11 alts yesterday for the Alignment Merit, none of them are built specifically to exemplar. The Ambushes in the second mission can be completely skipped by popping 2 purples and running to each of the glowies and clicking it. I don't think this are took me more than 15 minutes on any character except my first Hero and Villain, and that was because I stopped to read it.
-
Yeah, no way. I rolled 4 toons with great costumes, concepts and powersets I like and after level 10 I got bored. One is almost out at 18 lol, but that place besides lonely is so damn boring...
-
I blame all those damn /Time toons with their flashy stuff and since there's always more than one in a team nowadays, they make everyone a /regen too!
(Btw got my ice/time corr to 20 omg she's awesome) -
Quote:Yeah I got 1600, resubbed in July I think, my total paid time isn't much, 2y4mo since I've been on and off.It was 3 months (July, August, September). However, some people got an extra allotment of points for unknown reasons. (Player speculation says they awarded September's twice.)
(My VIP account got 1600 points: 4 months' worth of points out of 3 months. My preemie account got 1200 points: 3 months worth of points, but was only subscribed for TWO months.) -
-
Working normally here, maybe it's a f2p issue? I got the O portal on 2 toons today and used it a lot.
-
Quote:Wow that's a lot of coincidences lol. Anyway, if you want to share some build for feedback, because really, Stalkers shouldn't have end problems. My staminaless DM/EA had some before Energy Drain but that's because /EA has three toggles (2 shields+entropy) before ED (now Disrupt too but we have inherent Stamina so no biggie).Ohh i thought it might have been you...becasue Passive asked me if I was Psychic Kitty onthe forums....and kept saying I shouldnt be having endurence problems....and said the same thing about running a DM/EA stalker all the way to 50 with out using Stamina.
I was playing a claws/willpower stalker at that time....
>_>...ok i admit it.....for whatever reason i was given server trasfer things....so i thought what the heck....migrate around a few characters for fun to see what other servers where doing with stalkers...
I just never see that one thing some people have said about people not wanting to take them becasue they where a Stalker...
And that has only ever happened to me kind of once...and that was because the Group literally had not one support character and the team leader thought on the Tin Mage Trial it might be a good idea if I could play something that had some heal powers.
Also the really end hungry attack sets aren't present on Stalkers - War Mace, Stone Melee, well maybe BS is but I haven't played it. And some sets that are a bit end-hungry on Scrappers like Spines lose the damage aura so they're more manageable. I think Elec Melee is the worst of them (JL, CI, TS in an attack chain can hurt the blue bar since they have AoE costs) but it's nothing like Super Strength or Stone Melee (yeah I said Stone Melee twice, it's that bad, although I love the set)
-
Quote:Yeah I guess so. I'm not a big melee fan anyway (except Stalkers and a few Brutes, and I have 3 of those I have to level) plus having too much fun with Beam Rifle and Time, so as long as I don't get impulsive I wont have to spend real money. The only thing I kinda want from the store is the organic armor but that can wait tooThe odds seem pretty high, to me anyway, that by the time the set is released you'll have at least another 400 paragon points at your disposal.
-
Quote:Not on Freedom/Virtue.Well, for one, you were playing villain side. Isn't that side almost always empty?
Also, on Exalted I only have a level 10 Blaster redside, but there was plenty of activity. As it's been said, mostly lowbies are playing there.
The help channel for example is always active, and I did my Positrons on my ice/time corr easily, assembled one of them in 5 minutes, the other I joined (I was the first to join after the leader) and was ready in 10. -
So Stlakers lose the -res knee attack? At least it's the ugliest one, the Stalker version seems quite nice. Damn now I wanna buy the set and I only have like 100 points left
-
Quote:Meh nevermind, I found it quite funny. Of course it's okay for some people to find no humor in it, but imo the ones who 'spoiled' it were the people whoi went all 'oh you're so wrong because the exact numbers are different' - it's obvious you didn't mean to say empathy and Regen aren't exactly equal but you know how the internets areAs I said before, I wont derail the thread any further, if you guys would like to continue to discuss this, I believe a new thread would be the appropriate place, not here.
DeProgrammer and other Mids personnel, I apologize for the turn that the thread took. -
Quote:It will help, but won't stop them completely from wandering. On scrappers I don't think this is a big deal, Mace is great for stacking stuns and most of the time you'll only affect minions, a dark armor scrapper ignores minions at least when teamed.I almost went brute on the build, but I figured it would be better on a scrapper since there's no rage/ire/angry/whatevertheycallit to build up.
As to my original question, did you find that CoF helped stop the stunned mobs from wandering off? I swear I've seen that before, but I can't really remember and I've never taken a /Dark high enough to know on my own.
Just bear in mind that CoF was overnerfed some years ago - nowadays the end cost is extremely high and the base accuracy is way too low, unlike OG which is fine with 1 slot (acc). -
Quote:And it's the least reliable confuse power of all. Maybe even less than World of Confusion (I have a 50 ice control, but never had WoC on any toon, Arctic Air only confused a bit more reliably when I added the purple proc).Ice's confuse doesn't use any animation time at all, and it's autohit.
Definitely draws aggro though.
Some numbers for AA:
+3.725s Confused (mag 3) (after 1 second delay) (30% chance)
Effect does not stack from same caster
So besides having only a 30% chance and 1/10 base duration of Mind's Confuse and Mass Confusion (37 secs both, same as Illusion and Plant, Elec's is 27 secs, all of those are 100% chance if they hit), it doesn't even get the +1 mag overpower chance like all the others. -
Yeah, I already had an internal struggle to rerool my ice/time into time/ice (way easier to sofcap as a def) and decided not to in the end, even though defenders get Blaster Ice Storm and Blizzard, but I'd miss Scourge too much, it makes me so happy even in powers like Frost Breath and Ice bolt.
-
Quote:Dude don't skip Lancer, it's like Cosmic Burst, the gem of the Rad blast set, besides the stun it has a 52% chance to spread Disintegrate, the highest besides the Snipe (100% but meh, snipes).Gah! I can't choose! I want to drop either Piercing Beam or Lancer Shot on my Beam Rifle/Traps Corr in favor of the fighting pool and Vengance but it seems...I'm having a hard time here....What do you guys think about skipping Aim in this set?
Wait a minute! I normally Solo and I'm making a Traps toon! I can just skip vengeance! Yay!
I'm thinking about respeccing out of the t2 (maybe t1) once I have an IO build. I'm skipping Aim but I'm getting Tactics. That's what I'm thinking about doing with my BR/Traps (but not sure which blast I'll skip, it will be the t1 or t2 - if I hunt big game I might keep the t1 since it does -regen although Poison Trap does enough -regen for anything I guess)

Quote:Archery is faster but you'll get into redraw as well. But since you'll get your two fast recharging buffs early (Envenom and Weaken) it's easy enough to roll a DP/Beam/Archery/AR Corr, level him up in 2 sewer trials and you'll see. I got bothered because even unslotted they recharge very fast and you have to reapply since they have a tiny radius and you won't get many mobs with one application.OK, it's a vote against 2Gun, but is it a vote for Psy or Archery? I can't tell. And please feel free to add your /poison tricks or slotting advice, too.
Quote:I wouldn't say that the -dam from chem rounds was all that bad. For a rupter it's -10% for almost all the powers in the set (not the hold). Add to that that there is a minor toxic damage at the end. So, it gives pretty good extras in my book.
With /poison being the primary, it has two -dam powers in weaken (-30%, -15% for the splash) and Venom Gas (-15%). Also, remember that /poison gets no self heal.
Throwing the two sets together and you can see numbers pushing in the -75% dam range.
I've even used chem rounds on a blaster and could feel the difference in how sturdy the char felt and their down to -7% dam per shot.
Anyway, whether you and the OP like the Swap ammo gimmick (I was dissapoint, I can slow a mob down on my ice blast toon enough that I kill him before he melees me, can't do that with cryo ammo), I think the OP should try and get the two main debuffs and see how comfortable he/she is - it's not /rad where you use your toggles and only reapply them when your anchor gets killed, because since the radius is only 8 feet (should be 15 like footstomp imo) you'll have to use the debuffs several times on different mobs if you're teaming. -
Quote:Poison Trap used to fire procs at every target, my old Fire/Traps still has the three damage procs (ghost widow, neuronic shutdown and the purple). It was broken and it was ridiculous, every time you set the trap it was almost like a nuke (hilarious on the ITF). An ingame friend of mine blew every fire/psi dom (the farming kings then) out of the water with his fire/traps in farming speed because of that.Poison Trap: I keep hearing different things about procs. Some people say "not worth it - not a proc-nuke" and others say "hey the procs have a chance to fire on every target." I have 3 damage procs in this build in Poison Trap, plus lockdown +2hold. Worth it?
They fixed that about 2 years ago (i13/i14), now the procs have a 20% chance to fire in the beginning and then 20% every 10 seconds, not worth imo. Before, the damage procs made all the difference, now I only like the lockdown proc because it adds to the hold PT already has.
