I bet that number spikes like crazy at the beginning of a zombie apocalypse and then drops off substantially.
  3. So far Necro/Time is a hoot (though I am only level 13). My undead henchmen want to be in melee, and with my big -tohit aura and a team heal, I am happy to join them in BG mode. Good stuff!
  4. Turns out I have to work tonight so I won't be able to make it, but look forward to (hopefully) seeing some pics in the next couple of days!
  5. Yes it is annoying. No you can't send EMPs from one character to another. I really hope it doesn't go live this way.
  6. I bought $100 worth of points when the store went live, so I bought a small handful of these (green/blue combined) to toy with. They just aren't worth it.

Not true, it is definitely possible without Incarnate buffs.
It does however require a metric ton of +recharge and clicking the power (since you can only have 1 auto power).

[EDIT] I just checked my current build and with 78.8% recharge, hasten, farsight, and chronoshift are all permanent. NOTE: The +rchg of chronoshift lasts 90 seconds, the +regen and +recovery only last 30 secs, so it isn't truly permanent, but the most important part of it (IMHO) is.

There's the ncsoft financials. 2nd quarter 2011 is the report you want to look at and for craps and giggles you can also look at 2Q 2010.

Now not that I think you are the kind of guy that will actually look at them*, but they show city of heroes as a franchise has been doing really really really poorly.

A reasonable person might connect the dots with the way the management has handled that problems that you list and others like insane levels of downtime, telling people if they pre pay they will get their tokens up front, in general taking actions that are annoying and bothersome to the players to "protect the integrity of the game" and then turning around violating that integrity for anyone willing to pony up cash in the store.
I think you missed the sarcasm...

    B) Put the reset IN THE PATCH NOTES
I would be much less confused if it was at least consistent. I have had several characters complete SSAs and get A-merits, and a few who got the message about needing to "reaffirm". One of those made sense as a level 20 scrapper, but the other two were both level 50s with the alignment power.

So rather than knowing exactly how it works, we have people fighting and calling each other names, and arguing, because it quite simply isn't working as advertised.

I cee wut joo did der
  12. Slightly off topic, but does it *really* hit as hard as it looks like it does in MIDs? I'm seeing 435 pts of damage without build up or combo levels?

Yeah, I'm with the OP on this,I think the unlocks should either be account wide or purchasable.
You shouldn't have to wait to realize a concept. The same can be said for the Roman outfits. If you want to create a Roman gladiator you have to wade through 35 levels of not being the character you want to be just to get the costume bits.

Indeed. I want to put a head in that there jar!
  15. I'm currently planning on 4 slots of Bas. Gaze for the 7.5% recharge, and 2 50(+5) dmg IOs.

But I'm only level 20, and that is a loooong way off for a 3rd tier alt.
  16. Joise and the Pussycats?! This list is made of pure win!

(Warning, the author of this post may be wearing rose colored, nostalgia filled glasses).
  17. Not only is it very clever, the costume piece choices are all well executed as well. Kudos to you!

The problem seems to be, that this reset everyone back to neutral. Can't tell from the wording if that is a bug, an unavoidable result of the change or a wanted addition.
This hasn't been 100% my experience, and hence a big part of my confusion.
I ran the SSA yesterday with 13 different characters, and 10 of them got Alignment Merits.

The 3 that did not were:
A level 20 Scrapper (makes sense given the new confirm alignment patch, since she has never even done a tip)
A level 50 Defender with the alignment power
A level 50 Corruptor with the alignment power

I ran 5 tip missions and an alignment mission with my Defender and got 50 Merits (instead of an alignment merit), then reran the SSA and got an alignment merit.

It really seems all over the map here.

Yep, on the Defender that already had the alignment power.
That is what is so screwy about it.

This gets even wonkier. I decided to do 5 tip missions since I was halfway to an alignment merit on my defender anyway. I finished 5, did the alignment mission, and got.... 50 merits??!

That shouldn't be possible, since this character already has the Hero alignment power?

Anyway, I ran the SSA(1) after that and got my alignment merit, but seriously wonky stuff there.

Even that doesn't seem to matter. I have a Defender and a Corruptor who both have their respective alignment powers, and still got that message.

I have NO IDEA what criteria they are using?!
  22. Well that is weird, because this only happened on 3 of my characters, and I haven't run an alignment mish in.... forever?

    Thanks though.
