  1. Hmm...

I was gonna roll a new controller....illusion/sonic sounds interesting...I was gonna go for something very "different" to previous sets and this sounds like (although I was a FF before)
  2. Next thing you know he'll be saying Dimension Shift isn't any good (although I can see some bad synergy with Rad).

Grav - The tactical hold set
  3. What?

    Wormhole is made of win!

Silly billy. Worm/hole+AoE Immob = Second group hold

  4. Kinetik

    BILLION

    Can I have a loan?

    Worse. Testing decision ever.

Glue should be, because it's brilliant for agroing mobs and then using to make a get away.

I didn't know that about Poison Gas...

Most of TA's don't stack right? But I'm I right in thinking the "new" version of a power replaced the old version?

There's pretty much two types of ranged AoEs in Trick Arror.

Positional - Oil Slick, Disruption Arrow (And Rain of Arrows from Archery). You click the cursoer where you want to the center of the AoE to be.

Targetted - Acid Arrow, Glue Arrow, Poison Gas, Flash Arrow. The enemy you have in the target box is the center to the AoE.

I'd like more of the former
  8. Kinetik

    TA/A Defender

My main bug bear is that there's so much Enemy Targeted AoEs.

I want to be firing my debuffs are targeted AoEs...that's how a really Archer would do it

    - Flash Arrow: Bonuses and ability to spam the chance for -recharge chance.

    - Acid Arrow: It doesn't accept Acc IOs according to Mids

    - Fly: Really?

. Oil Slick: Tempting, but I felt that -res, -recharge would be more useful for Lt/boss which it might not kill outright(considering planning to team)

    - Stunning Shot: It's the lev 49 power I got stuck with, not overly bothered.

    - Ice Arrow: Maybe. According to mids thought it's currently spamable for constant hold with nice damage potential. Sounds like a nice st power if solol

    - Stamina: Possibly, It might respec it out and put leadership in (only other thing I'd want) - but the I might need it.

Oil Slick - doesn't take Acc IOs, so I assume Aim wont affect?

Aim - Might swap stunning shot for it.

Explosion Arrow: Why would I want to risk knocking them back out of the debuff AoEs?

Totally PVE focus, and mainly teaming.

It's got an awful lot of procs in, and designed for maximum potential debuffage...

  12. Need...respec...

And maybe a new power slot...
  13. Earth seems to be least loved.

I always thought Grav was pretty rare, despite being the best :P

2 AoE holds (if you buy a purple), AoE intange, AoE tp/stun, pet that holds....what' not to love
  14. Kinetik

    PVE Build!

Short Circuit, Ball Lightening, Lightening Field (this is a secondary)

Never mind build up and aim, I can kill minions with that and end drain everything else in about 5 seconds.

Build Up+Aim only enhances the damage,

If you've opened with a snipe...

    But it's personal preference. :P
  15. Kinetik

    PVE Build!

    I agree with Cynic.

Blasters are very tactical, especially if they've got a "trick".

Elec, for example, is great. Do you end drain, or damage? Should you try and hold the boss, or the minions.

The new Defiance has made any attack chain more and more tactical...(Although it's nearly always open with snipe)
  16. Kinetik

    PVE Build!

    Elec/Elec!

Ball Lightening and Short Circuit are excellent for AoE damage in the teens (and later on).

With a good tank you can just stand next to them and go mental.

Add in Lightening Field and Energy Drain (Later on) you can do massive damage, and floor the enemies end so they can't hit back.

It's also good for solo play with decent damage and holds.

  17. Lightening Field (Which I assume is similar) doesn't give any buff at all.
  18. Well done chappies/chapettes
  19. With build up and aim and snipe I can now one shot yellows.

I did some testing (lev 32) (numbers from memory)

    Tier 1 blast (enhanced) - 192
    Tier 1 blast (after 1 tier 1 blast) - 201
    Tier 1 blast (after 1 tier 2 blast) - 205

It's a small, but noticeable buff
  20. Me likey.

The damage (overall) is very good.

The buff from each attack is very noticable.

Build Up/Aim seem to give a buff too?

    Snipe/Thunderstrike give HUGE bonuses
  21. Bad news guys.

Due to unforseen circumstances I can no longer be certain of being about on Sat.

I suggest you pick a new leader (I'd say someone who's done it before) and take the 1st reserve.

    Sorry
  22. Hmm...Do Volt Sentinals blasts add buffs?
  23. Do the buffs show up as an icon under the health bar?
  24. Oooo...

Electric cage (or whateveR) could be useful now though
  25. Wait...so...You get a buff to damage for a set time (based on each attacks "stats") after each attack?

How does that work for things like Lightening field? (Or is it only for primary powers?)
