Here's a question... (probably for a different thread, but oh well)
Is Coyote going to be moved over to the new tutorial mission arc? -
Instead of being killed, BaBs is crippled, leading to the I22 new powerset, Psychic Melee.
(Yes, I made that up.) -
Okay, here's a question I haven't seen asked yet. (There's some build-up to it though.)
A while back... at least a year ago, probably two actually, there was a database glitch of some sort and a number of accounts were credited with more time towards Veteran Rewards than they had actually earned. My account was one of them. (I jumped 'forward' something like 24 months of veteran time.)
Now, when I sent in a bug report on this glitch, I was told in the response that (a) they weren't going to take it away and (b) I would continue to accrue Veteran rewards in the normal fashion. (In other words, I wouldn't have to wait 27 months for the next Veteran reward just because I got erroneously credited with extra Veteran reward time.)
So my question is, will this affect what tier I land in? Or am I going to continue to be a lucky victim of that database glitch? (Based on my veteran reward amount, I would be in Tier 8, but really, I should be high Tier 5/low Tier 6.) -
Quote:If they're Premium players, they can choose 2 characters (plus however many more they've unlocked through veteran rewards) to play. If they have the total subscription time to allow Controllers or Masterminds, they can choose those ATs as some of their available characters. If they don't have the total subscription time to allow Controllers or Masterminds... they can't.I understand what they said, I was talking about the people who have already level 50's with those AT's, and decide not to play in the VIP server, what will happen to those toons?
Although I won't be a bit surprised if there are ways to allow Controllers and/or Masterminds other then through total subscription time. I'd imagine you could spend Paragon Points to open them up. -
Quote:They've already said that unlocking Controllers and Masterminds will be possible as a Tier 5 Reward, which is an available option if you've had three or more years of paid subscription.Alright, well I have a question- And I'm confident I will not get an answer from the Devs, pitty; But that's NCSoft's reputation anyway.
What will happen to those who have already invested so much time of their life's and money playing with one of the (Soon to be restricted AT's)? Should we choose not to play in the VIP server? I wonder. -
Quote:Oh my.Reports coming in from folks demoing Freedom at Comic-Con are that travel powers unlock for everyone at level 4, and that the travel pools now have an extra power that unlocks later.
.... okay, I have to know NOW... what are these new powers? (Also, the obligatory "Damn you Comic-Con for being on the other coast!") -
Also, it's entirely possible that Freedom won't be out by the time you get the City Traveler vet reward. Just saying...
-
What doesn't help is that the server status page seems to be borked half the time.
-
*nod* A while ago, (over an hour, at least) I saw the "servers coming down in 30 minutes" message.
-
Yes, they are going to get it. You can see all the Power Proliferation here.
Now, as to when? Whenever it comes out. Probably the same time as I21. -
And honestly, does anyone see unlocking Controllers and Masterminds costing that much in Paragon Points? Frankly, if they make either archetype cost more then 1000 PP, I'll be surprised. (Honestly, over on LoTRO, I can't recall how much it cost to unlock Runekeepers, but it wasn't a bank-breaking burden.)
Edit: And I'm just throwing the 1000 PP cost out there. I have no idea what they will end up charging to unlock those archetypes early. -
If it's a certificate, it can be claimed on every character on the account (other limitations, such as level, may apply). If it's a voucher, it's good for one character only, but it doesn't have to be the character that purchased it.
-
The devs have stated that they want to do more with Power customizations, and that includes being able to recolor Ancillary/Patron power pools, and more animation customization. However, from a development standpoint, it's much easier to add weapon customizations which is why that showed up earlier in the game.
Martial Arts, as your example, is a prime candidate for more animation customization options, but these things take a lot of time to get done (and done correctly). Given the vast number of different martial arts styles in the real world, there are definitely a lot of possibilities in what could be added. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised to see news sets of animations added to that powerset. Right now, however, I would imagine a lot of their focus is on I21.
Mind you, after I21 hits, I could see new animations being made available for Paragon Points. -
-
I swear, I saw September mentioned at some point, but since I can't find that now, I'll just blame my exceptionally poor memory for that date. Honestly, with what they want to do for I21, I wouldn't be surprised if it's not going to be out until November or December.

Thanks for the correction. I keep screwing up the terminology.

Quote:Backspace as others have said. 'R' is autorun. (I editted out my wrong answer)1. If someone sends me a tell is there a quick key response to reply, or do I need to type.. /t insert Superhero name everytime.
Quote:2. Is there a bank of some kind? And if not, can we store things in the trade tab without putting them up for sale, or do they get lost if left there? Okay with the ten slots most of my alts have thats not really a fix, but at higher lvl if I have more it might be a useful stop gap.
Quote:3. Do folks tend to slam all their alts into one Supergroup, or is it more based on each hero? This might be subjective to every player, just wondering in general, more than looking for a definate answer.
Quote:4. Is there a set lvl for Movement powers, capes etc?
Quote:5. Is there a mail system? If not, how can you transfer items from one of your alts to another. For example a costume piece dropped for my main, which is perfect to one of my secondary alts, is there any simple way of getting it to her?
Quote:6. Regarding Going Rogue, which I am considering getting, do you get to select the alignment from the moment you download it, or do certain things need to be done. For example I have a Villian and a Hero, who probably should be middle ground style characters, if I get going Rogue, is that something they can effectively start as/switch to immediately, or is it mission based?
So let's say you have a Hero character who you would rather have as a vigilante. You do around beating things up to acquire tip missions. With each tip mission you start, you select the vigilante option (typically, the 'hero' option is things like 'save the hostage' or 'rescue the ambassador' or suchlike, whereas the 'vigilante' option is things like 'go beat up the people responsible' with the unspoken idea being that the hostages fend for themselves.) Once you've done 10 missions where you selected the vigilante option, you can then get a vigilante alignment mission. Upon completing that, you are now a vigilante (with all the bonuses and drawbacks). -
Quote:Never mind I suck at math.I might suggest a faster way. Perhaps not easier, but definitely faster.
Use 2 hero merits - buy either a miracle or 7.5% global recharge from the Lady Grey defense set.
Sell either one for 200 million. Do this 10 times.
Take your 2 billion and buy what you need. This way, you only need 20 hero merits instead of 30.
It should save you some time.
Oh, given the cost of trading on the markets, you might need 22 merits instead of 20. -
No problem. The servers should be up in in a couple hours at most, unless something gets borked by the maintenance, as it's only supposed to run from 7-9 a.m., EST.
-
The status page is not linked to the actual server status. The servers are down, probably for maintenance.

Hey, at least he doesn't have reading material out. I'd hate to see what his idea of a pin-up girl is.

I plan on continuing my subscription simply so I don't have to worry about this sort of thing.
