It's good to know I'm not the only one who hates the entire Twinshot arc, not to mention the entire team she assembled. (I mean, most of the forum's vitriol seems to be reserved for Flambimbeaux....)

As it happens, the creator of Two Lumps agreed. When he saw that picture (in a much larger form), he said they looked more like Eben and Snooch then the cats he originally based them off of.
And then he 'used' that image as the first panel of a comic.

I have no problem with cheesecake (either the food or the female variety), but not everyone wants to play a female character that is "Bikini Girl, Mistress of Cleavage".
Are there a lot of costume options for female characters that aren't cheesecake? Yes.
Did the ball really get dropped when it came to female costume parts in the Gunslinger pack? Also yes. (Mind you, they also dropped the ball by not having any holsters, or a western-style duster in the pack, or a western-style rifle for AR, but that's another matter entirely.)
If you haven't noticed, a lot of the backlash comes from the fact that the pack is advertised as the Gunslinger pack, when it's really not such for female characters. At least the Magic pack was more neutrally named, if not any less cheesecake-tastic. -

Quote:Technically, yes. The Celestials modified the original human stock, creating the Eternals, the Deviants, and the new 'baseline' humans. However, while the Eternals all have extraordinarily long lives and some measure of cosmic power (which they can focus along a particular theme or interest), and the Deviants are wildly genetically and physically varied, the baseline humans have a chance to throw up mutations that can equal or exceed Eternal or Deviant power, but it's a crapshoot. (Side note: Franklin Richards was considered to be the end-goal of the Celestial manipulation of human genetics.)Doesn't the back story of the Celestials make the responsible for mutants in the first place?
So yes, the Celestials are responsible for mutantkind in the Marvel Universe, and they intended it to happen, but that doesn't mean that they're going to go "Awwww, it's our mutant great-great-great(repeat for a while)-grandkids! (sorta) Let's help them out!" They are just as likely to ignore them and do whatever they were going to do regardless of whatever the various X-teams want. -
Quote:Nope, those are definitely Celestials.I thought they were iSentinels.
But then why would they be on the X-Men's side?
As for why they are there? *shrug* I haven't picked up any X-comic in years.
Are they on the X-Men's side? Uh... the Celestials are cosmic forces. They technically aren't on anyone's side. They shouldn't even notice that the X-Men are there, because there is quite literally nothing that the X-Men should be able to do to them on a permanent basis. (Side note: In an issue of Thor, many years ago, Thor managed to breach the helmet of a Celestial. The process of doing so destroyed Mjolnir (it got better), and Thor still wasn't able to harm the Celestial at all.) -

Quote:Okay, story time.*Waves hand* That was me.
I've also suggested a Shield that's a Hellion or Skull tied to your arm.
Last year, a friend of mine ran a pen-and-paper RPG where we played City of Heroes characters. It only lasted a short time, but it was fun. However, one of the iconic moments of the RPG game came when Jackson Storm (a tanker) drove a mostly wrecked hearse (which had previously been used by the Skulls as transportation) through Moth Cemetery, with a Banished Pantheon Totem stuck to the hood. Two passengers in the car were Skulls, who had not been able to escape the car before this, and when he pulled to a stop, he proceeded to use them as melee weapons against other bad guys.
Side note: Totem as a shield for Shield Defense. -
Indeed. Although Doom has a cooler costume. (Look, the man makes a green tunic work as part of a costume. As much as I like the overall Nemesis Army look, Doom wins hands down.)

Quote:I think part of the viewpoint of Dual Pistols having a shorter range is that there is no sniping power (nor should there be one). When it's the only Blaster primary that doesn't have a power with a 150 foot range, it's noticeable. Is it really that much different than other ranged sets? If so, I hadn't noticed.
Mind you, I don't see that as a major problem. The laughably narrow cone for Piercing Rounds... that's a problem. -

I've easily got a decade on you in terms of lifetime, and I will match my oldity and grumpiness against any of you whippersnappers!

Frankly, I don't think I'll be buying the Gunslinger pack.
It's not just the pre-tinted parts, although that is a factor.
It's not the dichotomy between the male costume parts, and the female costume parts, although that is a factor. (Aside note: Dear Devs, you have heard of Annie Oakley and Calamity Jane, right?)
It's not the lack of certain costume pieces, although that is a factor.
It's the lack of response to the feedback thread. -
