  1. This is a question that's always been bothering me ever sense I started using them as bosses in my custom Axis faction...

    Where do they spawn 'naturally'? I don't think I ever saw them outside of the ITF, and I'm pretty sure they've been in the game longer than that.

    Yeah, and at that point, I dont' think ANYTHING currently in the game can hit you. Maybe a player chomping 8+ insights.

    I've achieved close to 200% defense on SFs or on ITFs, etc, and it means nothing. I remember when Defense used to actually keep you alive, and now I might as well run toggless for all the good the endurance cost does me.

    I implore the devs...please fix Defense. As it stands right now my SR Brute is almost utterly worthless. There are so many enemy groups that have accuracy enough that they can hit me right through my toggles. SR should have the same level of survivability as any other secondary brute set, and it simply does not. Either up the level of resist that gets afforded by the innate defense sets, or stop giving such ridiculous accuracy bonuses to enemies which turn our brutes into one-shotable nobodies.

    Uh-huh. I highly doubt your really soft capped or even that high on defense. The only thing off hand I can think of that gives enemies enough accuracy to overcome defense is Towers Buffed Recluse. AE Critters with Aim, Targeting drone, and Rage as well, but that's the author's fault if they still have those powers.
  4. FYI: Drones have like 25% defense to Ranged and Melee(But NOT to AoE). Meaning LBE will have just as much trouble hitting as your other powers.

    Your better off getting FA IMO.

    If it is anything like the Blaster version I think because it is an auto hit power which doesn't make sense because it take acc enhancements.

    I have a ton of hours on my AR/Dev, but this is 'partially' true.

    The -perception portion hits every time. But the -to hit takes a hit roll to actually effect. (And I belive in PvP, neither part is auto-hit.)

    It ultimately makes no diffrence, the -to hit is pretty minor and not worth slotting in most cases.

    Technically... no. Ranged damage got a buff. So now Melee does less damage by comparison.

    Fireball deals fire and smashing damage but is defense typed only as smashing, if I recall correctly (no time to check at the moment).

    The Mind control mezzes are like that. Unpositional.

    And if I recall right, Vahzilok poison darts are typed LETHAL, not Toxic for defense.

    What causes this? Is it the often lowered base accuracy in AoE? Is it delay in activation time? Is it Mob Spread?

    What causes the lack of consistency?

    Actually... theoretically speaking, as in, in the best possible scenario, it's impossible to out do AoE attack as the mob cap prohibits it (10 vs 16). However, [u]practically[u] I am interested in performance, as I have little experience with the power.

    It's because Cones are easier to leverage to hit maximum targets than AoEs. Coupled with range slotting or boost range, you can make them EASILY cover more than AoEs.

    AoEs rarely hit the target cap unless they're herded or have a huge radius.

    Pain dom for corruptors has been generally regarded as useless. That's mainly why.

    I've actually seen two on a couple of years in Virtue. It's a strange build but people that run it told me it works.

    Uh no... I ran arcs from AP1 and AP2 just fine.

  15. The arc I made has the Axis troops using mind control techniques on child super-humans. >.> Then forcing them into training and into combat for them.

    I think that's kind of evil.
  16. Take the ranged attacks out of the secondary.

    Sense you can't pick a 'primary' that's not a melee set.

    It just annoyed me that my Dark Blast/Dark melee boss used Gloom TWICE in a row.

    True, but the same can be said for Archery, Assault Rifle, Devices, etc.

    Though AR, Archery, and Dev are all tech origin, they can be used to suppliment a magic, science, or mutant easily.

    Dark/Archery magic defender. Uses spells and magically imbued arrows. AR/Mental mutant blaster. Psionic powers, and uses a rifle to suppliment. Energy/Dev science blaster. Crey experiment with stolen tech devices, ect.
  19. It'd be cool, but they'd have to kind of either double the ammount of costume parts, or they'd have to introduce new tech into the costume creator allowing you to pick individual feet/hands/shoulders.

    Really? It's not Personal Force Field? That is a really great power for a Blaster.

    Elec mastery does give you more than just an 'Oh shi-' power. A hold, A damage cone, a long timer PBAoE Stun and -regen. (In addition to the shield resisting the 3 most common damage types in the game, and SoP capping S/L and Energy.)

    And yeah, I figured there'd be a lot of people that wouldn't want it to change. xD

    This. At LEAST Boss Level. I can't tell you how ridiculous it is when I play an arc and rescue an Elite Boss ally who proceeds to finish the mission all by himself :-/

    Haha, yeah. I really think there should be another class that's ally only. Like the already in game "Pet class" with Lieutenant/Minion damage, and Boss/EB Accuracy and health.

Couldn't they have it look like full body eletricity without removing the character model? (This is the ONLY reason why I still take Force mastery and FoN over this pool.)

  24. Wouldn't change anything. Farmers would just pick a shorter map to get the most EXP while not going over the cap.
  25. Castle told me in the beta that enemies having AT Specific powers was a bug.

    It's probually not that easy to fix if it's taken this long.
