That might work. I don't have access to the kilt pieces, yet.
I've been begging for more Egyptian parts. As it is, with Kheps costume I did the best I could and I'm constantly tweaking it. I explain the differences as her trying to fit into more modern times.
For more information and screenshots of Khep, check out the scraps in my Deviant Page. A rough of her bio is there, too. -
SG. Khep is no villain and never has been. I couldn't even conceive her as one.

Ugh. Stargate. Great concept, the movie was so wrong on so many levels.
Great concept, however. I think the main problem with the costume is the kilt-purse thing. It just doesn't fit, but you probably can't remove it. That's what is killing the look. I don't know if it's this laptop, but to my eye at the moment (tell me I'm wrong) but the "blue" looks a little too purplish. Maybe a bluer blue, to more match the color of lapis.
Funny, this concept is similar to Kheprera's, only she is a goddess. She was found by an archaeologist and "revived." I left off the mummy wrappings because, once revived, she was no longer "dead." -
No advice here as you have more experience coloring a picture digitally than I do. You're really improving by leaps and bounds.
I will chime in with Derek in watching your light sources. Something you might want to do is get a GI Joe or Barbie, and have them sitting nearby. When you want to see how a light source affects something, set them next to a light in the position you want and observe the lighting patterns and where shadows it.
I do it with coworkers or even in the mall, or where-ever I am. Even the TV can give you some ideas as you're watching. -
I have Kheprera on every server, but her home is Freedom and she's leader of the SG there (The LLS - Losers Like SnaitN - LOOOOOONG story). Any other server is good for me, though I would prefer a low-population server for once. Freedom is filled.
Names: Envisionaries is good, but I also like:
Art Mongers
The Art Horde(s) (get it?)
P&P Factory (Painters & Pencilers)
I also don't wear a supergroup emblem because it messes with The Look. The only requirement we have in the LLS is that you have to wear the SG colors at least once per month (real time) playing. The SG colors are lime green and magenta.I don't like heavy restrictions on being in an SG.

We wouldn't tease you so much if we didn't like you. :hugs:

Some people here work for the government, and having even something like the VS catalog is grounds for disciplimary action.
So, yeah, NSFW is pretty much a good thing to have. -
If anything, with the hair, he looks Hispanic...

Ahh. Sorry to hear that. Milk contains something that helps counteract the capsacian (sp) in the hot peppers to lessen the spice.
I learned this the hard way when I de-seeded about seven serranos and four jalapenos with my bare hands. Don't ever do that. You might as well stick your hands in a bonfire as it feels the same way.
I wonder if non-dairy milk does the same thing. I'll have to see if Alton Brown has an answer to this dilemma. -
I have wanted to take art classes for a long time. After our budget stabilizes, we're going to look into a family thing, as our son loves to draw (not just color, he likes to "draw" things). I think we would all benefit from not just the time spent together.

We all start somewhere. Many of my best pieces are nothing but copies. Take a look at my Gambit. He is a pure copy of a trading card. I didn't even try to do it from memory. I referenced the card, a lot. It is, IMO, my best piece ever.
Copying allows us to teach our hands, eyes, and brain to follow specific contours and shapes, so the next time we do something, it's easier. Take writing, for example. I learned how to write script in a specific way. During that time, I hurt my right hand and had to teach my left. Once my right hand healed, I went back to using it. Over time, the handwriting on my right hand changed and evolved. My left hand still writes like it used to because I never trained it any differently.
A weird example, I know, but copying and practicing is what makes us better artists. Using a pen, pencil, brush, mouse, or tablet is no different.
So it doesn't exactly match the original. That's okay. You made it your own. That, in itself, is the most important part. If you take an idea and make it your own, it's no longer a copy, but something that was inspired by something else.
I hope I explained that well enough. -
<rpmode>Not me. I like shiney. I could stare at the sun for hours and hours.</rpmode>

Both look very cool.
I kind of like the armored one. -
Mmmm Jiffy Pop...
Hot and spicy foods. Living where I do, that's not a problem. Grab some tortilla chips and the hottest salsa you can stand and chow down (keep some milk handy - not water).
Other than that, I get generic Sinus Headache stuff (like the Advil Cold and Sinus, only 1/2 the price). It works well for me. Sounds like allergies, though.
And allergies suck. Hope you feel better soon! -
I know the feeling. Between working 40 hours, coming home to take care of a two year old and cook dinner, then the one hour (or so) I get before it's time to get the little ready for bed and asleep, I can't wind down long enough to draw. I log on, start catching up on the boards and posting, and the next thing I know, my leisurely hour is up!
I need to draw more. I want to draw more.
I just need more time!! -
Don't be down on yourself. It's beautiful. Just because it doesn't have a face doesn't mean it's not good. There's a LOT of abtract art or emotive pieces that allow suggestion to portray the intent.
It's very good. -
If you know you're going to change your settings, go to a less populated area. I've hit the rooftops of Kings Row, or Croatoa has some nice settings. I've also done Talos during off-peak hours (all these on Freedom). I've upped my graphics to max, spent about an hour taking screenies (turn on "Do Not Accept Team Invites" - this is important for your sanity), then go back in and turn them back down. No logging on or off.
I agree, that costume is quite nice. -

I ... don't have any superhero art except one on my own DA account. I have tons of elves though, do they count? They're people here...

Of course! My faves/most viewed aren't CoH or even superheroes at all. AD&D and Shadowrun. It's all good.
Besides, sometimes even the fantasy style can be used for a superhero thiese days. -

Sorry, sometimes I don't know what gets into me.
