I like how you included yourself in the background, there.
-
If I angle the laptop screen just "so" I can see the bodies. I can't see them on my CRT.
-
You're doing really well, but I have one comment that might help.
Get a t-square, this can be easily made with two rulers. Draw a light line straight down and use this as a guide to keep your figures straight. I had to do this a lot when I started out because I was doing the same thing. I'd correct it visually by putting in backgrounds where the characters were leaning on things like walls, but I'm just horrid with backgrounds. -
Except me, because I can't seem to figure out how to use other channels.
Shoot, I can't even figure out keybinds.
Where's that dunce cap? -
Have a happy birthday, yooou-ooh!
We'll hope it's a great day tooo-ooh!
Every play!
It's CB's special day!
Happy Birthday! -
Sorry, just logged off my main because I'm too out of it. I'm off to bed in about five minutes.

I think one is Dragonberry. I don't know why I get that feeling...

I think I know what I'm asking for on my 40th birthday this year.
I want Graver art!
*sigh* -
Okay, now we're going to need to see a TA in stained glass.
-
I haven't seen TA around much lately. Isn't he moving to CA right now?
-
I still refer to my Marvel book.
I gave my original one to my niece on loan. I never saw it back, so I replaced it.
I wonder if she still uses it. -
I'm with you, Kilo. There are people who's characters I want to draw, but I need to freshen up my skills. There was a time I could do a sketch a day. Now, I'm lucky to hit once a year!
Time is a factor, in addition to inspiration, drive, and conflicting other things. I've got some pictures of my own characters that have never been finished. My scanner hasn't even been hooked up yet. -
A couple of other good books to try:
Vogue
Vanity Fair
Good anatomy books: Dynamic Figure Drawing or Dynamic Anatomy by Burne Hogarth
Why Vogue and Vanity Fair? Large magazines for very little cost, lots of ads with models. I often do composite practicing using these ads to learn the move and flow of clothing, proportions, and how the body moves.
Sports Illustrated is also an excellent magazine for dynamic figure movements.
Just a couple of them will give you tons of reference work and practice pieces. -
*hugs*
I love it. Thank you!
And I think everyone here, in the SG or not, is very helpful -
I've actually found people I know doing that.
It's amazing, really. Then I had to point and laugh at them and let them guess who it is who is teasing them since they know me by another online handle. -
No, it's not appropriate for a bio, nor is it appropriate as a character, IMO.
The movie was funny, and even got a giggle out of me. Raunchy doesn't even begin to describe it, though. NOT for the faint of heart or people who tends towards more conservatism.
Donkey FTW! -
I have made my choice.
And the winner is...
Ignia Elemenia
It might take me a while to get some prelims, as I'm sick at the moment and don't do well on sinus meds. I tried to do some sketching today, and kept falling asleep!
Thank you all for participating. It was a very hard decision on my part, and as I slowly get back into the groove of drawing, I may revisit this thread and pull something out to draw. I enjoy seeing other characters getting their chance to shine a little. -
We just watched it a couple of weeks ago. Funny, funny movie. Predictable in places, but funny.
-
Okay, NOW the official time is drawing near.
Just a bump in case people need to find it.
