I'm thinking of rerolling Khep as a dual-blades. I'm getting a little bored with the whole Emp/Psi thing.
-
I get on, but, like you, I rarely see anyone at all on Liberty, so I've been soloing a little.
-
Hexy, I know exactly what you're going through.
I've been in that rut for a few years now.
Found out there were a myriad of problems causing it:
Lack of social connectivity. When I broke up with my last boyfriend, my gaming group went with him. Suddenly my friends dried up and the only social contact I had was with people online. Now I have a husband and son, which helps, but going to conventions where my online friends are helps tremendously as well. Those times are when I'm more prone to draw something. Other than that, my rut is still ongoing.
My thyroid pretty much stopped working. I'm now on medication for it, and it helps, but it is not the whole of the problem.
Complete lack of inspiration. When I'm not gaming, I have nothing to draw on for inspiration. My creativity dries up, skills get rusty and fall away without use, and then when I do manage to get something on paper, it looks like crap, which feeds the feeling of despair and frustration, which makes me lack inspiration. It's a fearsome cycle.
Look into different aspects of your life and see what kinds of changes may have affected your desire to draw. What has happened that may have impacted your creative outlet? Check with a doctor to make certain your hormone levels are okay, or that there isn't something physically wrong. Identify the markers and then work on correcting them. THEN you may find your creativity and inspiration slowly returning.
The worst thing you can do, however, is force yourself to do something you have no inclination to do. That may only compound the situation by frustrating you further. -
Don't get a UMAX. Made that mistake and now to get the updated drivers for WinXP I have to PAY for them.

Yay Graver!
Damn, I wish I could afford that commish I wanted. *sigh*
Someday. -
*has images of Spino in a tutu while fighting Doc Vahz...*
Egads. -
A decent tutorial on metallics:
SENMM
Now, while this article is intended for painting miniatures the techniques for 2D drawing is basically the same. It might help you. -
I have a sudden urge to make the Scarlet Pimpernel, now.
Hmm, who wants to make a Musketeers supergroup? -
WE GOT KHOPESH SWORDS?
w00t!
Now I have to completely redesign Khep with DB. Oh, so awesome! -
Nice work Juggy. I don't do PayPal because I've had too many friends who've been hacked through them. I don't even pay my bills or do my taxes online (and yes, I work for the IRS). Too many instances of spy/malware that has infected me has made me extremely leery.
Now, if an artist is willing to work with me to accept a money order, then I'm happy to pay for art. Just right now funds are in flux and I need to keep an extremely tight rein on my budget, especially with the baby due in less than two months!
Maybe sometime next year. :-) -
Thanks, all. More back now that my upgraded computer is up and running (just in time for the end run of Halloween).
And watch it with those handcuffs, Cres. You might not want to be that close to the cranky, hungry, pregnant woman! -
I should start being able to play more, now. Upgraded the computer so it runs better (doesn't lock up so much), we're nearing the end of our busy season at work (since my busy season is at odds with the rest of the IRS), and when I go on maternity leave I'll need something to while the baby is sleeping (which will be most of the time).
Maybe I'll hit 50 on one of my characters. -
No tackles.
No clinging.
No pouncing.
Nope, at 7 months, I'm lucky I can still walk!
Welcome home, TA. Good to see you're still around. -
I had to cancel my Graver commission because of financial stress (had to buy a new car and pay bills that were more than expected). Sorry I can't help.
-
We got it today for our son. Of course, being three, he can't read it, so it's being bagged and boarded and stored with the others.
-
You've been a great teammate, Rox. Take care in the future, may it shine brightly upon you!
Life! Health! Prosperity! -
Why not post the request at the City of Artists account?

I can't wait for the Fairy princess to reach the girl I commissioned it for. She's going to love it. I know her parents do.
But, Star is holding out on everyone. She also did a piece for the 12 year old who I just found out loves PowerPuff Girls. -
Thanks, Marcian, your words mean a lot. Even though I've been not so active as an artist, or an Envisionary, as of late, it still means a lot to all of us to know we're appreciated (not to say other people aren't appreciated, since Part Troll has inspired a fear of PuGs in me).
I really need to start finishing some of the pieces I've started. Maybe after the cheese-stuffed jalapenos that the baby insists I eat right now. -
I've been playing my main a lot more lately. Just hit 31 on her and really trying to push towards 50. And for the rest of the year I may not be on as much as I used to. Maybe I'l actually start getting some drawing done.

Paragon One is used by the Envisionaries and the Re-Visionaries on Liberty, but it is global. The more, the merrier!

I've worked the random generator before to get ideas. That is what basically started Pyroclastic Flo and Ma'aseruat.
Just keep clicking until you see something that is interesting, then take it from there. Change colors, play around, and fiddle it until it's right as you like it.
The backstories for both of the above wrote themselves as I worked on tweaking the costumes. -
I even grabbed a Peanuts one they had. Some the store had left over from the year before, and since he had boxes of the stuff, he didn't care how many we grabbed. He didn't want them taking up space.
