I had test up and running without much problem, but I couldn't get my character copied over. I had even worked with my husband to make certain he would have the boys during that time slot so I wouldn't have to worry about having to get up and go feed the baby.
*sigh*
Maybe next time. -
When doing some screenshots for art I'm planning on completing someday (really, I am) I took some screenies some some fire pets of someones. No idea whose they are, but they can be found here.

Happy birthday Cres!
I hope it was good one. -
This actually brings up an old question of mine, especially with the way Marvel is about lawsuits and protecting their trademarks:
If an artist gets paid by someone who is not Marvel to draw a Marvel character, say Spiderman, isn't that breaking the trademark/copyright law because that character is trademarked by Marvel but they are not getting paid for the selling of the image? It seems to me that, rightfully, the artist who gets paid should pay a fee to Marvel for the sale, since they made money off of their product. Then again, that would mean that Marvel would have a whole lot of tattoo artists to sue should the whim strike them.
I'm just curious as to the actual rule of law on this. I may have to write to the US Trademark or Copyright office of this one. -
For me it started at 11am. It'll be over in about 15 minutes and I still haven't gotten a character to copy to test. So much for this rare shot when I had someone to watch the kids for me.

Happy Birthday, TA. Sorry, no artz. Every time I sit down to finish anything I get interrupted by stuff like babies or work.

Happy belated Scarfy. I would have posted sooner but was lucky to log on when I did the past few days.
I hope you had a great one! -
Cool.
Most of my characters started out as Champions RPG characters. Omen (Lady Omen on CoH since the name was taken) is a character I've had for twenty years. Kheprera I've had in various incarnations for around thirteen years. -
From the other end of things, I prefer to send my money for purchases via money order or teller/cashiers check. I do have personal checks, but I'm rather weird and paranoid and don't want my personal information stolen. This is also why I don't use PayPal and still pay all my bills by snail mail. Money orders are trustworthy enough, as are teller or cashier checks, and then, as LJ mentioned, you can always go Western Union. Giving your customers some options other than strictly PayPal will help you snare that customer who despises or doesn't trust online transactions.
Just my personal stance on things. -
Not if they are reduced right. My original is quite large, and the orginal pastel is a 12"x18". With the right technique you can shrink things down with excellent clarity.

I have some alts on Virtue....

Virtue scares me. -
I was always partial to Alexandra for a girl.
I've got to check finances. Apparently my timesheet was incorrectly entered into the system and I didn't get paid for 37.5 hours that I worked so my paycheck, after everything was taken out, was only $199. Yeah, try and pay a mortgage on that!
I'd be more stressed if we weren't going to get over $3300 back from taxes this year, probably next week if I get the forms turned in this week. -
I'll be happy if I get a Spiral. Thrilled in fact.
I'd like to add the Goblin Queen/Madeline Pryor as well. I like the idea previously mentioned.
And my brother-in-law requested Bob, Agent of Hydra (Deadpool's sidekick).
The hubby wants Slapstick. -
I think the original train of thought has been derailed now.

For me it says it's undergoing server maintenance.

I'm really sorry I missed the whole thing. I had been planning on making it, but the boys took up all my free time. I didn't even get to sit down and turn on my computer until after 10:00 pm CST.
Someday I'll make it to a Dev event. -
If I get any time at all I'll either be on Freedom with my main Kheprera teaming with my husband, or on Liberty trying to level Lady Omen to at least 20.

Speaking for myself:
I've never had an art class in my life. I'm self-taught and rely a lot on my photographic experience to back up my art (rather than vice versa). For someone like me to try and do something in a cubist or impressionist style is like trying to ask Captain Kangaroo to do a Rambo-style action movie.
Top that with having a newborn and a three year old alongside a husband working two jobs, even trying to get a sketch I promised a year ago out is near impossible. I'd love to participate, but I couldn't personally devote the time it would require for a hack like myself to study the various art forms enough to even know how to participate.
It's certainly an interesting idea, and if I was still single and footloose with a ton of time on my hands, I'd consider it a challenge and a chance to learn more. However, art is a hobby for me, not a job, and the amount of work required for me to produce something would be too much work. -
Alex is most awesome. I'm still loving the Khep sketch he did for me.

I would have submitted something, but none of my art is CoH related, really. My characters are more based on very old table-top rpgs that I've brought into CoH, and so the art I have on my dA page are ones done for the pen & paper characters, not the CoH versions. I didn't think they warranted the prestige of being presented.
I do want to do some more CoH related works, but my time lately has been consumed with an infant (born Dec 20th), my three year old, and the lack of my husband's support as he's bee working two jobs. What time I get I hoard. I'm hoping that soon I'll be able to devote some time to doing something besides laundry, cleaning, feeding, and sleeping.
