Quote:That's exactly what my observations were. This can be tested by logging out somewhere quiet like Ouroboros, or somewhere with distinct sounds like Pocket D and then hearing what it's like loading up again with those toons.
Anyway, for a controlled test I just tried a character logged into the Talos police station, and got the Talos background noise build up and play like a loud static burst during the progression of the loading bar until I was fully in game (surprisingly it was not the police station sirens and radio chatter, just the background ambient city sounds that played loud). Relogged the character in a remote part of Ouroboros and had the background sounds play during loading but they did not build up in volume.
I have music off, 3d on, and running a Creative X-Fi Xtreme with Win 7 64 bit driver version 5.12.1.2018.
I'll do more testing when I get a chance. -
Quote:As well as the links provided above, check out this "all in one place" Wiki page with a Table of Special IO'sOk here is my question. I just read that globals exemplar only to 3 under. So is it better to slot the lv 30 global of a set or lv 40 of a set? For example: Edict of the Master - Defense Bonus? I'm guessing the lv 30 because of when you drop in lvs during task forces. You would be able to use as low as lv 27 with the lv 30 and only will be able to use the other to lv 37. Please help.

Yes, I get this when the character logging in is in an area with a lot of background sounds. It's like the sounds are building up and then playing all at the same time once you're loaded, which increases their volume.

It's a hold-over from an old game mechanic where some enhancements could only be purchased through your contacts, so to get them you'd need to do missions for your origin contact to unlock their store.
Now that the stores sell all enhancements it would be nice if they'd revisit this and have the contacts sell enhancements to you at a cheaper price than stores, so unlocking the contact's store would mean something. -
IIRC clicking on the submarine next to Janus tells you this in the warning text box that pops up.

Quote:Hello.
Not sure if this is a known issue or not. (I have searched.)
When I zone using the train, I need to retoggle my travel powers because they de-toggled in transit.
Toggles dropping while zoning is caused when the servers controlling the 2 shards you're zoning between have differing Server Times.
If you can, send in a petition when it happens (Note: not a /bug, a /petition so it goes to the GM's not the Devs) and note the 2 different server times in your description if possible.
/servertime will pull up the value of the shard you are in.
Most of the discrepancies I've seen are when the particular shard is set to its local time rather than GMT (standardizing to GMT was how they resolved the problems months ago). -
For those getting the TOs: did you have the Shop Keeper / Smuggler [Chance for Enhancement] Day Job?

Quote:Ran it just now and had no problems.Ran this last night , cleared the entire area and could not find Power
. Is this a bug ?
First door mission: defeat the Carnival of Shadows boss to get the artifact.
Second door mission: click on the Circle of Thorns altar and defeat 3 waves of attackers. -
Quote:The fix is posted to Training room test server already:Yep, same issue here - reproduced 3x in a row. Hitting BACK at any point during the respec crashes the game. We need to get the dev's attention. What info do they need ? Opened a ticket too.

Quote:Good catch. In future the best thing to do is while in-game use /loc and /whereami and include it in a /bug report. This will give them the exact map name and location. Was running the new villain side acs, and in one with the sewer map that leads into an office building, I came across a spot where the old water had not been replaced with the Ultra Mode water:

with a map to show where it is, and the mission name. It's just past the transition between the sewers and caves/office:

Just a heads up to bug these when you get no rewards from them.

I hope a red name can clarify this. Done right, hunts can be fun so it would be disappointing if bonuses are taken away. On the flip side, I hope this isn't being added to punish those who opt to use stealth in their gameplay, especially since it already gives less xp than a kill all.
"Scan Vahzilok for disease info" (Defeat 15 Vahzilok) from Dr. Ann-Marie Engles
"Seek clues to Lost's plans" (Defeat 15 Lost ) from Guy Denson
I'll bug this in game when it happens again. -
Quote:As I thought that this was WAI I didn't bug them but I completed 2 Defeat X missions without getting mission rewards:Hunting missions shouldn't be affected if by that you mean "Defeat X Baddies". Only sub-tasks within missions should be affected by this change. If it were to be the case, however, please let us know so we can get it fixed.

Quote:I'm getting the exact same response, hero- or villain-side. It will drop to 30fps and no adjustment of the sliders will improve that except turning off AO, which pops it up to 60fps again.I recently bought an EVGA Nvidia 260 GTX card, and I have trouble noticing any difference between it and my old 9800 GTX that broke a while ago.
My computer specs are:
Windows 7 64-bit
Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.5 GHz
8.00 GB RAM
EVGA Nvidia 260 GTX
I can get 60 FPS (I like my Vertical Sync on, so 60 FPS is the ceiling) with all Ultra Mode features turned to max, except Ambient Occlusion. The moment I turn on Ambient Occlusion, my FPS drops to around 30. I can raise the slider for Ambient Occlusion all the way to Super High Quality (Strong, Quality, Trilinear advanced settings respectively), and I'd still stay at around 30 FPS. If I nudge it to Ultra Quality (or just turn on Strong With Color Bleeding under advanced settings), my FPS drops to around 15.
Running almost same set up:
Windows 7 64-bit
Intel Core i5 750 @ 2.67 GHz
8.00 GB RAM
EVGA E-GEFORCE GTX 260 Core 216 SC 55NM 626MHZ 896MB 2.1GHZ DDR3
I just turn off Ambient Occlusion and run at 60 fps. Hope some future game tweaking will increase the performance of AO someday. -
They have given out 1 free costume token per costume slot (I checked with a new character that had previously had no tokens).
It is mentioned at the bottom of the Live Server Publish Announcement -
Quote:They have given out 1 free costume token per costume slot (I checked with a new character that had previously had no tokens).I'm not sure how it was determined that we will be reimbursed for losing customizations to our powers. The fix listed for power customization is extremely vague, a little clarification would be in order.
This is what is in the patch notes:
Powers Customization- Characters that had customized powers in Issue16 will no longer lose customization the first time they log in to Issue 17.

Quote:Oh, I read that as Castle meaning the Mito fix is not in the patch. The Release notes have been wrong before where it's a direct cut'n'paste from Training Room yet some features hasn't gone live ( the Glue Arrow 'fix' being one example ).Yes he quoted that yesterday but todays patch notes state that it is fixed and yet it really hasnt
Anyway, I see they fixed the issue with Custom powers being removed, and gave out costume tokens rather than restore them, so I guess I'm off to redo a few hundred costume slots. -
Quote:Castle posted yesterday regarding the fix for this:A few of the guys I team with a lot on Defiant have just tested the LGTF and were still unable to kill Hami as the greens were still over healing. Not sure if anyone else has had the same problems or tried it out yet. We the LGTF on a regular basis and have never had any trouble before so seems to be a problem still.

Quote:Looks like there are more than 3 end points then as I just took a look and there were Paladins at 2 of the above listed locations, and a third Paladin atSince I had some spare time and I was flying around that end of King's Row anyway, I did a little surveying.
Here are the approximate locations that Paladin will end up in KR, as of I17:
350 -42.5 -2500
150 -42.5 -1800
1200 -42.5 -1800
32.0 -42.0 -1570
The previous time I looked there were 2 Paladins at the 350 -42.5 -2500 location.
Definitely makes running around High Park a little more exciting now. -
I bugged that in-game back on Dec 11 2009 so it's been that way for a while (Found it amusing so I took a screenshot at the time too).
-
I've had an ambush come from one of the ??? markers. I checked the location before clicking the last glowy and there was no spawn there, but clicking the glowy triggered a 3 wave ambush that came from the marker location.

Quote:Extra damage from procs show up in your combat tab under the channel "Damage Inflicted".Hello, all!
How can I tell if a Proc is going off? I have Scirocco's Dervish: Chance for Lethal Damage, and I'd like to know when my 20% pays off.
Thanks in advance!
It will say something like " You blast (target) for XX points of bonus (lethal) damage!"
Other procs like extra endurance, slow recharge rate, etc. show up under "Healing Delivered" channel. -
Quote:I have seen 2 of them a good distance apart in the same area you describe, west of the old gathering point. They didn't appear to have been dragged there as they weren't trying to make it back to the park area. I suppose it's time to test dragging one away and see if he returns to the new spot.So I was flying around the north end of Kings Row today, and noticed a Paladin hanging out on a streetcorner well to the west of Paladin Park. He seemed to be happy as a clam there, going about his usual "This is where I will hang out until I despawn" routine.
Did Paladin decide that his old stomping grounds were played out? Did i17 give him a measure of freedom he hasn't experienced in some time?
What would be a neat change is if they would follow a route walking around KR, like the non-Vale Croatoa monsters. -
Welcome to the game!
Another hint: The map has a City tab so you can see all the zones in the city, and the connections between them.
