I do Meder Lazurus' mish fine them more onto the Mender Tesseract mish and find myself in the Zig Breakout map scalled to L1 as I expected... only my avalible powers are Lightning Bolt, Ball Lightning, Transfusion, syphon power and assault... EG, my power picks up to L6.

Now obviously this is a result of of the SSK scripting kicking in and treating me as though I'm exemping down to the mish lvl with my powers +5 lvl's. Made the mish a breeze, but surely this isn't as intended as now the badge mishes and challenge mishes are going to be so much easier to do now!
Working as intended, although the Live Patch notes seem to be missing the information.
Here's the section from the Test server combined release notes:

    Quote:
    Sidekicks/Exemplars
    • Players exemplared for any reason (teaming, flashbacks, zone, arenas) will now be able to use powers gained up to 5 levels above the exemplar level.
      • Example: A 20 exemplared to 1 will have their first 5 power choices instead of 2.
      • Example: A 50 exemplared to 45 will have access to all their powers.

I just tested and the Mastermind version of Trick Arrow/Glue Arrow is working correctly on Live ( It does not disappear on target death, and was just fixed with Issue 16 according to the Patch Notes ). Perhaps it's just the Corrupter version? (Although that is in the Live patch notes as being fixed too.)

They are the first 2 lines (2 sliders) on the first page (General tab) of the Options menu.

Menu > Options. General Tab: Team Option section (at the very top). The sliders are "Auto-accept level changes ..."

I tested it on the training server and both factions count for the Vampyr and Warwolf badges. I didn't get a chance to see if 5th count for the custom weapon unlocks.
  5. I have this happen when the game gets input from one of my twitchy joysticks. Do you have another joystick/controller plugged into the computer that might be sending a signal?
To turn that off go into the in game options and disable the joystick input.

Click Menu -> Options (You may need to click on Menu with the mouse and hit the "O" key on the keyboard if the menu is closing too quickly). Once the Options window is open go to the 'Controls' tab and there is a section for Joystick. Try setting Joystick Input to "Disabled". If it is already disabled, then enable it and disable again. Then hit Apply Now.

I relogged and it fixed this problem, but that was weird.
According to the Issue 16 release notes, this is fixed on the Test server. Coming to Live "soon".
  7. Also, for future reference in getting around, the 'City' tab on the Map will show the zones of the city, and the connections between the zones ( gates and yellow / green line train routes ).
  8. Have you tried the solutions listed in the Common Solutions post at the top of the forums? The most common cause is a Window skinning program (Windowblinds for example). The other cause I've read about was a graphics tablet and its software.

From Common Solutions: Game Doesn't Start:

    Quote:
Occasionally people will start the game, see the small “loading” message, and then… nothing. This is most often caused by “skinning” programs that change the look of Windows, such as Window Blinds. Check the options for your skinning program and you should be able to have it exclude City of Heroes.

That's working as expected as the KB protection is considered a 'Global' (acts like a 'set bonus') type, while the Chance to Hold is a Proc. type.

There's a Wiki table that explains the different types of "Special IO's" and which ones work like globals [set bonuses], and which are Procs that work as long as the power they are in is usable.

    Edit to Add:

Great news that it's not a bug, but rather the Flashback Challenge settings.

Thinking that maybe the graphics were just too lousy on the laptop, I tried to sneak up on someone, but they saw me.

    Maybe it's a bug?
Check the Stealth number in Combat attributes to see if it's just a graphics issue. (On the top of the power trays, click Powers, then at the top of that click Combat Attributes. You'll find stealth listed in the 'Base' section.)

Also, try zoning once. When I just exemplared in Ouroboros to test my TimeSpace Manipulation: Stealth enhancement the stealth didn't kick in until I zoned out of Ouroboros, but it did show up after zoning in the Combat Attributes and visually. (Edit: looks like stealth is suppressed in Ouroboros, even after zoning back in)

Of course, also make sure no difficulty settings are set in Flashback, like no travel / no Temp powers.

    From Paragon Wiki:

    Quote:
To obtain this temporary power, earn the Entrusted with the Secret badge, or run a mission or story arc using a Pillar of Ice and Flame from a supergroup base. If you are doing a story arc through the Pillar, only the first mission needs to be done to get the power.
Follow the Entrusted with the Secret link to see a list of badges, missions and souvenirs to unlock the portal.

    You're missing the folder "ogg".

The files "SonicScream1.ogg" and "SonicSmallBlast3.ogg" should be in:

    C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\data\sound\ogg\Powers\
  17. The change was in Issue 14 release notes (note they specify "active" accounts but kept the employee warning regarding inactive accounts):

    Quote:
Black Market / Wentworth's Consignment House
    • Characters (on active accounts) who have inventories, bids or items for sale in the Black Market or in Wentworth's Consignment House will no longer have to log into the game within 60 days to avoid item or influence/infamy expiration.
    • In-game Black Market and Wentworth employees will still give their friendly reminder, however if your account is "active", they won't take your "stuff".

Actually, they must be able to drop a level 50 recipe, which means (to quote the Wiki page):

    Quote:
Any critter that is capable of dropping a level 50 IO has a chance to drop a "purple". This includes, but is not limited to, level 47 minions, level 46 lieutenants, and etcetera. Giant Monsters, Monsters, and Underlings will never drop a "purple".

This to the Defenders and Controllers feeling penalized because they couldn't upgrade their debuffs.
Yup, now that the contacts sell all types of enhancements it would make more sense to have them charge less than Brick and Mortar stores. You'd get a benefit from increasing your Relationship level by doing their missions and getting access to their store. Very thematic.

Since you are hero-side, any contacts in the Active tab will have missions for you, or introductions to new contacts.

That should be your first place to look, even if they've sent you off to see another "off main branch" contact [like David Wincott in the Hollows], you can return to them to see if they have more missions.

If a contact is on your Active tab, they have a mission, or an introduction, for you.

Also, a list of contacts that give repeatable missions can be found here:

Just to add to the store list that was mentioned above, always sell enhancements to the correct Origin store or you will not get full value.
The only exceptions to this would be the Store contacts in the co-op zones [Midnighter's club and Rikti War Zone]; they give full value for all enhancements.
