That looks like it is going to turn out very nice. There is also some really nice art in your link. Thank you for sharing.

Any chance you are going to finish the piece of Feral Kitty? (hope, hope, hope!) I think it is one of your best pieces to date.

Okay... ran into a snag tonight *pounds head into wall*. Apparently, they changed the formulation of the multimedia board I use for these watercolors or something. The boards I had been using I had sitting around for a couple of years. Either way, the last of those was used for Hems. The new ones I ordered, however are completely inferior in quality! *pounds head into wall some more* After the first wash of color, not only did the board begin warping slightly, but the color actually soaked into it (it's not supposed to) and ended up drying in a weird bleeding pattern... hell, in one spot it bled clean through to the back side! *pounds head into wall again and again*
I'll try to come up with a work around... maybe using gesso on the board... or *pounds head into wall* something... I don't know. I'll have to start over as the pencils are wrecked now. Might be able to get a print out and do a transfer, but things are going to be a bit delayed until I can think of something that will yield the quality of the previous works.
Either way, things are going to be delayed, but, hopefully I'll have some forward movement very soon... or kill my self, which ever *pounds head into the wall several more times*

Oh wow, that sucks! Were you old boards pre-gessoed maybe? It has been a while, but I seem to remember that you could purchase boards plain or already gessoed. Doesn't really matter now though, the fact that you lost the work you had done on this one is horrible. I am really sorry to hear that. Talk about frustraiting!

Here's the pose that was decided on in the end for him, a mysterious traveler with a touch of the brooding to him.

Hmm, you know what? Normally, I can figure out exactly what is going on with your planning sketches...but in this one...I don't know. Is there a figure in there somewhere? I mean, I see the dumptruck. I see the birds. I even see the bowling ally. But where is MysticFire?

Hmm, those seem to me to be dramatically different styles. The same artist could do something in a cartoony style that would look very different then a more realistic style. He even posted some of the progression steps for the picture of FeralKitty. I am not sure that there is cause for your remarks.

For the pic I'm trying to get done, I figured it'd be more likely to get done that way.
I've already agreed to help ya expand your collection by a pic or two for free, so no worries there. Just gotta get my tablet workin'.

Got distracted, did this: Cookie WIP!

That turned out really good. That mesh looks hard to draw. But, you know...mesh has a tendency to bunch and stretch anyway...so, just blame that! -

Posi looks like he's either drunk or stoned in that image

You are assuming it is either one OR the other? -
BTW, there is a much larger version in a link from the collection in my sig. Since I finally figured out how to enable my photobucket account for larger sized images, I am going to be updating my page to full size versions of most of my art.

There used to be some pics of Cuppa at some of the conventions. The are probably barried by now. I think I have some screens of Cuppa at various online events. I will have to dig for those to.
OK, so that wasn't very helpful. -

It is my sad duty to inform everyone that August will be my last month with City of Heroes and City of Villains.
I am taking over community management of Tabula Rasa full-time as of Sept. 1st. Cricket will be your primary community person when Sept. 1 rolls around and I will no longer accept PMs as of that date.
I just wanted to take a second and thank everyone for all their support and kind words over the last two years. Even in the darkest hours I could always count on there being a few bright posts, emails or PMs in my inbox. These kept me going more than coffee ever could and they always brought a smile to my face.
I also want to thank everyone who has ever created well thought out, constructive post/PM. I know bugs or other game issues can be frustrating at times, but a community person's best friend is the player who takes that little extra step to research and document their issue while keeping it about the issue, and not about Statesman's momma.
Special thank you's to all the staff both here at NCsoft and at Cryptic for all your hard work, for answering questions and for listening to community concerns. Staff may not always agree - but they [u]always[u] listen.
Finally, thanks to you - the community. This has been a great community to work for and be a part of for the last two years and it's very hard leaving such a wonderful group of people. You are so intelligent, passionate, creative, funny and charming that it amazes me every day. And despite how it may appear on the surface sometimes - you all care for each other deeply and are always ready to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate. You are true heroes and there is no Paragon City without you. It has been my honor to serve you.

Hmm, let's see...if you want constructive criticism, I can do that. Please keep in mind that I really like your picture!
Here we go, in no particular order:
1) The leading foot. The angle of the shoe doesn't seem quit right. A heel like that will have a stiff sole. The curvature of the shoe at the toes should be more on the other side...where the big toe would be. Also, the squaring on the heal makes the foot appear to be angled more then the rest is drawn.
2) I am not sure what is going on back on her right (our left) hip/butt-cheek. Is that a split skirt? If so, maybe that does work.
3) The mouth and the eyes both need...a little something. The eyes might just need one more line above half of the eye to show that she has eyelids. I am not sure if you were trying to show that she had her tongue touching her upper lip? I just can't tell what is going on with the mouth.
4) The hat. Hmm, I really like the hat. But it seems to me to be sitting a tiny bit to high. Since you probably want to keep the face visible you could try and show that the curvature of front brim is actually hiding the lowest portion of the top of the hat from the viewer. That would make it look like the hat itself was sitting a bit lower.
Overall, I really like it. All of these are minor issues for me. But since you said you wanted some feedback and weren't getting it. There you go!
I hope you post more stuff Nymie!
