Outside of the D, well, for RP there's a handful of good RP S/VGs out there, every Cape Radio show, tons of hosted server events, I end up with fun mission RP with 'Roleplay preferred' in my search if I'm PuGging...its more spread out these days instead of the giant clump of people but the RP is certainly there

I do miss a good global IC channel, too many pissing matches in them have pretty much killed them off, but otherwise RP is quite alive and well

I tend to compare your public PAN to Facebook...you don't put anything on it you don't want the whole world to know cause no matter how well you hide it some enterprising or bored tech savy person will find it, but it kinda helps to function, or at least look like you fuction, as a normal person if you have one that has things on it, even if its fake.

The other thing to keep in mind is where and how you are operating. If today, you walked around with a cassette walkman or an 80s brick cellphone, you'd get wierd looks. People with hard wired systems will get odd looks, and suspicious ones in sensitive areas. If the plan is to blend in and go undercover then you are making yourself look like a target. If you only run around in black form fitting armor at night and the solution to any problem is 'kill it', well that may not much matter to you though :7

Yes, SR4 has Augmented Reality, its essentially a matrix overlay onto the real world, so little popups produce prices at something you are looking at in a store, or when going to a club the bouncer can see whose on the list just by looking at them, which means hacking generally falls into the same times and initiative as combat and the hacker is not the guy passed out across town

Official errata is hard to find, but you can get most your questions answered on Dumpshock where a lot of unofficial statements of clarification have been made over time.

Because there are advantages to wireless, like target sharing, remote drone control, tactical computers...besides, most attacks aren't to the gear anyways, its into team comms full of chatter and data.

Kai vs anyone isn't much fun, gravity is hard to picture really....I have a lot of fire based characters(its appreciation, not addiction >.>) but I'm pretty sure that vs Mel that would only end in 'everything in the entire scene is now on fire' or generally having the feel of a watergun fight with the ones that are immune to its effects.

Unless you are a Virtue sort, you wouldn't get it likely, but I'd totally go for an Mrwrk/Amerikatt teamup

Really the only screen I still have from waaaaay back in ye olden days of .tga files is Jae in bright freaking blue because, hey, SG colors represent no matter how eye searing cause you only had the one costume before 20, staring at a Devoured Earth Tree of Life in Kings Row with a friend going 'is it dangerous?', 'its purple...', 'what's it do?', 'I dunno, its not doing anything....' *stare* 'maybe you should attack it', 'nuh uh, you attack it!'

I sure it could for those who have several days worth of time to devote to it Not saying its useless to do, just that the benefit I would get out of drawing digitally would never come close to the amount of time required for me to learn it. Drawing as a hobby comes somewhere below music for Cape, crafting for The Bottle Shop, and random steampunk projects so I might turn out a drawing once or twice every two or three months :7 Not everyone who plays around with drawing software wants to be an artist for a living or even work it as a side income, so I personally at least don't think there's anything wrong with not making full use of a program

Me personally? I'm not trying to learn digital art tools. Drawing is a low stress for the fun of it thing for me and while I occasionally stumble my way towards sucking less, if the process of doing it becomes work in figuring out brushes and settings and new ways to take days to do what I can do in pencil in one or two hours, well, then I'm completely not interested :7

That's my problem as well darque, I can't for the life of me sketch digitally, I have to draw on paper, scan and import. I'm way more an illustrator user than photoshop for my drawings too, the lack of a pen/anchor tool drove me nuts :7

I've messed around with it a bit, and if you can start digitally from scratch (I can't) and can tolerate a little bit of lag its kinda cool.
