There is a third option as well - the mire nictus. Since its attack is autohit, the -damage from benumb can often be very useful. This is especially true with you being a cold, since you already give the team good defense. So the only real danger is the autohit attack.
Basically, if I don't think people will die I benumb the Healing Nictus. If I think people will die I benumb the Mire Nictus. -
It makes me sad. I used to love pvping with my fort

Quote:Darn you!Or maybe you like things a little slower, where you can really hear the luxurious Old Testament quality of the beard in the vocals?
Totally music for you.
Yes I totally love quiet stuff like this (Iron & Wine, Sufjan Stevens, Rosie Thomas)
I also enjoy some rock, typically with some sort of 'surprise' in it like a climax time signature change or key change (The Arcade Fire, The Beatles, Rogue Wave)
And sometimes I like stuff to bob my head to (MGMT, Spoon) -
Thanks!
I have done this before but never knew how to make it happen for sure. I'll try it out some more tonight. -
Was an idea we had to skip blues and yellows, go straight for greens...
I apoligize -
there used to be something about poison trap I think where procs would go off an insane number of times

Quote:1. NoIt's a simple question that's to do more with game mechanics than the actual farming, but anyways. I have this weird redside Farmer idea in mind, but in order for it to work I'll need specific mobs to work with. I dunno if it's been done before, but I've never heard of a Corruptor farmer myself. Anyways...my questions are this:
1 - The nemesis. Does their flamethrower attack has any other component aside from AoE/Fire?
2- Freaks. Do their Electricity attacks have any other component aside from Ranged/Energy?
I'm pretty sure the answer to the above two questions is no, but it never hurts to ask.
3- Are there any maps suitable for farming that contain mobs aside from the above? I'm talking mainly about mobs like Family, Praetorian warriors (like the ones in BM farm)..or anything that uses attacks with S/L components all the time?
Thanks in advance.
2. Some are aoe/energy. Some are ranged/energy.
3. None that I'm aware of. Redside is lacking in this manner.
People used to farm with traps corruptors before the nerf. Mainly one of the two nemesis farms. -
Energy Melee is very good for eliminating a boss quickly.

Quote:Well that's lame. I'm gonna pretend it means ZEBRAOMG

So this is a stupid question... what does the Z in ZOMG stand for?

Quote:Some servers do have difficulty getting enough people for redside raids, so it would help in that regard.
Also, Virtue had (last time I actually had a chance to log on, college can get brutal) 2 raids a week per side, with 2 raids per raid day, in different zone instances. I don't know about other servers, but there's no real need to make it co-op. No real reason, either. -
Also, until recently, you could TP the mitos from the LGTF.

An interesting build. Very creative. Out of curiosity why no bone smasher?

Quote:I'd be interested to see that.I have a build that is Perma without Hasten and has soft-capped Energy/Ranged with 41 Negative and 38 S/L Def. I can pull it out if you want to take a look. It's ridiculously expensive.
Wonder if it'd be worth it to not worry about ranged and see if I can get 45 S/L/N/E. -
It's a great combo. I don't think you'll be unhappy. It's also one of the best/easiest combos for soft-capping ranged defense while still being perma, if you are so inclined.

Quote:No more than 3 are needed for fast healing, Integration, quick recovery, and mog.I've never really played a Regen scrapper, mainly because everytime I try to throw a build together in mids' it always gives me a headache. My problem is Regen seems to want a considerable amount of slots compared to other scrapper secondaries, to the point that I can't effectively slot my attacks. It seems I almost have to choose between having the strongest attacks, or having the strongest heals, but I can't have both.
I've read several guides on Regen, and I swear one of them had suggested slotting that used more slots than are available, or at least enough suggested slotting for your primary/secondary to where good luck if you need some slots for your pools/epic powers.
From my understanding in general you need to 5-6 slot your click heals, 3-5 slot Fast Healing, 3-4 slot Integration, 3-4 slot Quick Recovery, and 3-4 slot MoG. That's anywhere from 27-36 slots used. Given with most scrapper primaries you'll have 5-6 attacks that you'll definitely want at least 5-slotted and Build Up then you're spending 28-39 slots on your primary. At best that leaves you with 12 slots for pools and epics. If you take Tough/Weave there's at least 6 slots gone there. Hasten gobbles up another 2 and that leaves 4 left over slots for Epic powers. Dunno about you but that doesn't seem like enough to me.
It seems if I ever want to play a Regen scrapper I'm always going to have to choose whether I want to have my cake or eat it, and I hate making those kinds of decisions -
Will resistance debuffs and damage buffs increase the damage of the particle cannons on the hydra (once it is vulnerable)?

Quote:Agreeing with all of this.Personally, I think it's pointless to aim to softcap psi defense when you're already softcapped to all 3 positions. Instead with my Fort I softcapped all 3 positions without Mind Link, so with Mind Link up I'm sitting at around 60% to everything. This means defense debuffs won't mean as much.
Also, if you want a little bit more survivability, +HP and +Regen work great with defense sets. You won't notice anything from losing the psi defense. I've "tanked" a MoLRSF before with my Fort with minimal problems.
You get a bunch of psi resistance as a fort anyway. And you give some to your team, which is why I love having forts on MoLRSFs -
Quote:Ah, I didn't realize we were talking about true level. In that case most of my characters did find them tough the first time through. But even so I like having the challenge there. I try to mez/kill them very quickly.Right. So when you see people complaining about a foe being too hard for the level you meet it, is the first thing that pops into your head that they must mean when exemplared?
A native level 20 character is most likely still equipped with DO-strength enhancements, and doesn't have nearly as many slots available as a (say) level 50 who's exemplaring back with set IOs. (Set IOs and HOs help mitigate enhancement scaling.) The concern I have with these critters is their strength against native level characters they're arrayed against. They're still mean against a wide array of characters (I maintain they'd be mean if they existed as level 50 mobs), but they're radically hard for a native level character.
