2. Does benumb do anything if applied to the towers in the STF?
3. Other than the purple patch, is there any way to resist the damage debuff? (someone once told me that the red tower in the STF gives recluse damage debuff resistance) -
For primaries, fire sonic or ice.
For secondaries, rad dark or storm.
Any such combo will be pretty awesome solo. -
It does look pretty ridiculous.
I'd like a no-fx option too. -

Somewhat tangential, I've been told that zoning can cause you to still experience the defense crash even with stacked rage. Any truth to this?

Second. WHy would you want a Positron length SF? People complain about the length of the Positron TF now. It would just get complained about redside as well. :P
Also I tend to prefer longer TFs because although you can do several shorter ones in the same time, it means forming all those shorter ones (which takes time). -
When I move my characters around in the selection screen, it always resets it once I view it again. It doesn't seem to update. I checked the "playerslot.txt" file in the appropriate account folder, and for some reason it doesn't get updated. Any way I can fix this (without manually editing the file)?

I'm honestly quite surprised the drop rate hasn't been increased. I expected that when the devs saw things going for the cap (and thus people not being able to outbid for them), it would be a flag. Apparently I was wrong

Another possibility, if you aren't set on a brute, and are looking specifically at RSFs, is a mind dom. It actually makes the entire encounter a lot safer than any brute could due to the sleep method. -
