Quote:Yes, Place holder dates have been a standard since it was Babbages, when I managed a store the common place holder dates are 1st,15th and the last day of the month depending on the month.Haven't we had a few ex-GameStop employees mention somewhere that if the date is 1 or 2 that it means they don't have an actual date and are just using that as a place holder?
I am still thinking it will be Sept 14th 2010 it gives CoH a short free ride before DCOU release, the new WoW and most likely the Marvel MMO which will give them enough time to release the next free update a week or two after the relase of the other new MMO updates which I can bet is being produced at the same time as CoH:GR. -
Quote:from http://goingrogue.na.cityofheroes.co...-info/faq.htmlIsn't GR Suppose to come out in a couple weeks?
I cannot wait.
What is the release date for City of Heroes Going Rogue?
City of Heroes Going Rogue will be released in Summer 2010, although it is available for prepurchase now.
My prediction Sept 14th 2010
Also, is it a seamless world? No war walls but a sonic fence, does it serve the same purpose? -
great olive branch to the people asking for animal parts... Thanks JLove and David Nakayama

Quote:this is how I can tell Jlove did not work on this set.
Second look, this looks alright... but not perfect, however.
This is not acceptable from a professional. There isn't even an attempt to make the head flow with the rest of the body. This should be fixed before release! See the back? The head looks like it should continue onto the back with the plating, this is eve more clear with the side view. However it just cuts off. I could understand if you made it tapper off at the scheme, but to not have it tapper off and not even connect with the matching body, that is some poor work if it is the final. If this is not fixed for the final I will seriously consider not buying this pack. -
Quote:By the way, the tails for both sets are coming soon. They just didn't make it into the build, says Mr. Nakayama: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showp...&postcount=133
Bioluminescent tail
Organic Armor tail -
Quote:In the lead-up to live, we'll definitely be talking more about the creation of the Mutant Pack. But basically, mutation's all about biological change, and we wanted to give players two distinct flavors of that and to make the parts as broadly usable as possible.
Bioluminescent represents the change-from-within concept of posthumanity: with these parts, your hero or villain is clearly changing at a genetic level and doing so in style--with tintable glows that really pop in dark environments.
Organic Armor represents change-from-without. With these parts, you can acheive a carapace/exoskeleton look, as if your character is growing a new skin or shell or perhaps being taken over by a symbiotic entity. And for added visual punch, you get the tintable glows here too.
As a set, the Mutant pack gives you the abilty to make new heroes or villains to fit a fairly wide range of aestheic types: alien-corrupted, hell-spawn, genetic freak--all of that's doable with this set. And with 2 tails, wings, and sword, there's a cherry on top.
A monster-themed pack is something we can look into after Going Rogue, but that's a different set.
Until then, enjoy all the new toys!
Always great to get info from the Devs , Thanks
Also these don't have the Jlove "feel" to them did he work on these? -
Quote:I like the mutant pack... it fits mutants just fine. After dealing with an infinite variations of mutant entities (courtesy of Marvel Comics), I don't see how anyone can pigeon-hole how a mutant armor should look.
Will try to get on test and see about some mix-matching.
I have to agree with this.
Mutant is very vague term. My main is of mutant origin but looks "normal" until spines come out of his body. Although I still would like to see more monster type parts, maybe a monster pack is in the works.

Quote:@Dumpleberry: I was commenting on the previously mentioned reluctance on Sexy Jay's part to create what was termed "Furry parts." Being bestial does not equal Furry. Having fur just makes it furry, note the lowercase f, as in, "Consisting of or similar to fur, covered with, wearing, or trimmed with fur, covered with a furlike substance." It's similar to pharmacists who won't dispense birth control or Plan B because of their moral objections, in that one person's issue restricts the freedom of other people.
Not trying to be a smart *** but has JLove ever said he wont make any furry parts? -
Quote:According to this, at least since the end of May.
I think that is the best news about announcing this booster pack. So far its a 5 out of 10 for me (I will still get it) but hearing this gives me hope CoH: GR will come out by Sept. -

Nothing new in the store atm.

Quote:you are probably correct but this is one example I foundI was under the impression that the black area between the koi head and tail was where the da hui would be. Making the koi 2-3 times bigger than the image kaktos has. I don't think you can overlay the image as kaktos represents. the inks wont be dark enough. After a couple laser treatments it may be possible to do something like this with a much more faded da hui but right now i don't think any detail placed over the dahui would be visible. not for very long. they would merge together and form the undesired blob.
more so if you spend a lot of time in the sun, as a person with a da hui is prone to be :P
I think this is what he was thinking.

I don't have any tattoos my self but have helped in designing new ones for friends. What they told me, was it should work but it also depends on the colors you use to try and cover the old one.
With a koi I think it will work since what ever gold or yellow you used for the scales in the black area will make some of the scales look a bit darker
as for size it is tight but should work
