  1. Using Level 50 IOs in Mids Hero Designer...

    Tanker:
    Fire Armor: 47.2 S/L Resistance
    + Tough: 70.1 S/L Resistance

    Defender:
    Charged Armor: 43.6 S/L Resistance
    + Tough: 67.4 S/L Resistance

    Brute:
    Charged Armor: 41.6 S/L Resistance
    + Tough: 59.4 S/L Resistance

    Blaster:
    Charged Armor: 30.3 S/L Resistance
    + Tough: 46.9 S/L Resistance

Does this seem odd to anyone considering the role of a Brute or is it just me?
  2. Care to share your builds?
  3. [ QUOTE ]
Power Sink is still over slotted on End Mod.

[/ QUOTE ]1. Read the thread BEFORE commenting, it was suggested to me.
    2. Still? LOL. There were no End Mod slots in it to begin with.
    3. It's not overdone. There's a serious difference in the end drain.
  4. Taking the suggestions into account, I went with this and to be honest, I even love the look of it. I'm currently Level 40.

  5. I know to use Power Sink and Lightning Field offensively. Foot Stomp followed by Power Sink often starts my attack chain. I'm aware of Foot Stomp helping to keep them down, but it just feels horrible with Alphas. I considered Electric Fences, but doesn't immobilize prevent Knockdown? With my Willpower Tank, I'm fully aware of the Fighting Pool's goodness, but went with the Medicine Pool over Fighting because Aid Self is effective against any form of damage and Tough's added S/L protection seems well, pathetic.

The slotting for Hasten and Rage is for Perma and Double Stacking, eventually. I will consider using one of my free respecs because with my 15 million or so inf, I'm not approaching the loot for those necessary IO sets yet. The second Heal IO in Health is just a place holder until I can toss the Miracle Unique into that sucker. I don't have any of the accolade powers yet so those End Redux in Lightning Field since Power Sink isn't Perma keeps my end up.
  6. I gave details because they were asked for.
  7. Right now, I can't take point on an 8 man team to save my life.

On my WP Tank, I can get him to 232 HP/sec without buffs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sorry to nitpick, but you can only hit that during periods of RttC double stack (which only lasts for a fraction of a second). Sure, you could hit it, but it's misleading without saying how. That's like saying Brute Invincibility gives 29.25% def. Sure, it can, but I'd only consider it a constant 17.55% with 10 mobs in range.

In order to hit 232 hp/sec, you'd need to have ~1733% regen and be at the Tank hp cap (3212). Without the double stack, that'd peg you at ~1246% regen or ~166.76 hp/sec. With 1 mob in range (and not counting the double stack), that's ~807% regen or ~108 hp/sec. That's still high, but far more believable.

Out of curiosity, how much def do you have?

[/ QUOTE ]The 232 itself often lasts for a second or two, but the double stacking in general doesn't. I can often sustain more than 166 with enough enemies around. With 1 enemy in range, Mids has it at 105.3 HP/sec (785%) and at 10, it's 165.9 (1237%). My Tank is at the HP cap which I found pretty easy to get. 38.3 Defense to Fire/Cold, 35.2 Defense to Energy/Negative, and 30.1 Defense to Psionic with 70.1 Resistance to Smashing/Lethal. 4.03 End/sec as well.
  9. I recommend HP, regen, and defense.

On my WP Tank, I can get him to 232 HP/sec without buffs.
  10. Yeah, I've been leveling an Elec Brute. He's currently at 33 and it's just horrid right now. He can't take alphas to save his life.
  11. I've seen Tyrant get renamed as "The Annoying AV"
  12. This will be an option in Issue 15 and I've already seen stuff get renamed on Live.
  13. I enjoy cut scenes and would like this implemented.
  14. If being bossed around by everyone, getting threatened, and once again becoming a butt monkey of Recluse is awesome to you then yes, the Villain TF is better.
  15. I have all improved and elite dampening ray badges, every worktable, but yet, these aren't showing up under neither defense or raid. What gives?
  16. Or... Just organize your stuff.

I have 8 racks presently. Finding what I want and need is rather easy. Within the base, the racks are divided into two, Arcane and Tech. 1 is rare salvage. 1 is uncommon salvage (2 of each), 1 is common salvage (3 of each), and 1 is common salvage (3 of each) and uncommon salvage (2 of each) which contains only what isn't in the uncommon or common racks.
  17. Yeah, I don't really plan on using Screech. Having a near perma Soul Drain would be nice, but Dark Embrace and Consumption don't really impress me. I don't find Negative Energy among enemies who aren't Council and Perma AM covers the endurance.
  18. /Fire has more AoEs and generally, much better attacks, but when a character has the IOs to grant himself double stacked Rage, /SS is able to gain slightly better damage while having the recharge to put Foot Stomp on an endless chain of destruction.
  19. I recently finished spec-ing this this thing out. It's used mostly for teaming though. Switching to Electric for Thunder Strike, Charged Armor, and Power Sink was a thought, but Power Build Up is just amazing sometimes. PBU+EM Pulse+BU+Dreadful in particular.

  20. [ QUOTE ]
I would much rather have more end game content than new power sets. That's one of the things that are killing the game; very little end-game content. I know the AE could partially remedy that. But it's not the same as dev provided content

That's six Task Forces that cap out at 50, more than any other level in the game. And there are A LOT of 40-50 arcs. Red side might be lacking in end-game content, but blue definitely isn't and besides, red side is a joke anyways. When you can attempt to take over the world yourself, massacre the families of every member of the Freedom Phalanx, and be able to kill the NPC civilians for the fun of it, let me know. Half of red side is beating up on other villains.
  21. Ultimately, this all depends on your play style and preference when it comes to solo or teaming. I have no idea what your travel power is either. If you just have SS, then CJ would be vital.

I always have a Controller on my team when using my Fire/Fire/Flame, enabling to me to get great use out of it. Fireball/Fire Breath/Fire Sword Circle is the tried and true method, but I like having more options. It's fun using other stuff. I have all three of those powers with Rain of Fire, Hot Feet, and Burn on top of it. Between Rain of Fire, Hot Feet, and Burn, I often find enemies are freaking out so much between being pissed, wanting to run, and trying to kill the Tank that no more than two escape.
  22. Better late than never...

And yes, I know I need to clear hard drive space.

  23. Stern_Verdict, Flight has actually been revamped. 1 enhancement in Fly and the other in Swift puts you right near the cap. It's no longer the build crippler it used to be.
  24. To the person above me, he said he's NOT taking fly. It's literally the first sentence.

If you don't want to take Flight, I recommend Super Jump.

Hasten is the best pre-req out of every power pool in the game, but Super Speed alone, sucks. Okay, you can move really fast, on the ground. That's it. Unlike the super hero versions, there is no wall-running, no creating a tornado by running in a circle to go vertical, nor can you make small whirlwinds with your arms like The Flash did in JLU to prevent himself from hitting the ground during a plane crash. Also, during combat, it's suppressed with no lower alternative unlike Hover and Combat Jumping.
