If it always had good DPS compared with other primaries, then explain this:

    http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showp...79&postcount=1

On that list, claws is second only to spines in terms of worst DPS. Considering brutes don't have spines and Brute claws is weaker than Scrapper claws due to Follow up, I wouldn't be surprised if claws had the weakest ST DPS out of all Brute primaries.
Follow Up doesn't make it weaker. It allows Brutes to sustain the 60% damage buff and adds some damage during the build up phase. Swipe has the best DPS on both power sets yet it's missing from the chain.
  2. I'm looking to start a VG Redside on Virtue soon. The inf would be appreciated.
  3. Having ran an SS/Brute, I highly recommend staying away from Electric Armor.

It's Fiery Aura without Fiery Embrace or Burn. You get Unstoppable, but it makes you look like a monster from some crappy Sci-Fi film.

That aside, the infamous aftermath of Hulk vs Vector of the U-Foes scene Bill posted strikes me as being Dull Pain being used mechanically speaking rather than simple fast healing. Since there are no foes around it's not in line with Rise to the Challenge and more extreme than fast healing is made out to be.
The Hulk's regeneration factor has remained at a high level ever since. This was shown to great effect throughout Planet Hulk and World War Hulk, two of the best runs in the character's history. It's not a healing factor because the ability is instantaneous. He doesn't have to concentrate or activate anything that gets disrupted from an attack chain or because he's been slowed down. It happens automatically.

Plus without a decent amount of invention slotting WP is terrible at taking alpha strikes. Invulnerability is good at taking alpha strikes. One of Hulk's *things* is taking alpha strikes.
Without a decent amount of invention slotting? Yeah, because no one's gonna do that. Anyone that's been playing this game for more than a year knows how to optimize the power set: Willpower + Health + Tough + Weave + Physical Perfection + Maneuvers = I'm sorry, you were gonna kill who?

Okay, so you dodge instead of deflect. Wow, real mood killer. Besides, people tend to forget that the Hulk isn't just strong, but fast. He'd have been no match for the likes of The Sentry and Thor (who he's both beaten) if not for that speed. Invulnerability still has problems with regeneration, endurance, and psionic protection which are things that the Hulk excels at.

Invulnerability: Massive endurance issues, a giant psy hole, and no regeneration.
Willpower: Weaker non-S/L resistance, dodging instead of deflecting.
  5. Hulk could have Rad if you excluded all of the debuffs. His Gamma radiation has always made others stronger eventually, not weaker.

    StJ/WP game noob

Some people wait til their 30s for QR. Some don't even take it.
  7. Sorry, but the Hulk is Willpower, not Invulnerability.

Unlike the Juggernaut, he is extremely resistant to psionic attack. This has been noted many times through the character's history. Despite having a singular brain, it contains the mind of two completely different individuals and his rage makes him even harder to deal with. In one of Hulk's better feats, he was able to destroy the physical form of Onslaught (an Omega-level telepath) who had dispatched both the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Avengers at the same time. He'd have ripped Hulk's mind apart if it were possible.

Hulk's regeneration is just as powerful as his durability. Although difficult to harm by normal means, he can be hurt not just by super powered individuals, but by adamantium (impervium in CoH) weapons and when this does happen, he regenerates almost immediately.
  8. Yeah, I'm trying that myself Zombie, but no one's brought it.

    TW or StJ?

StJ has the DPS advantage thanks to the lengthy recharge of TW's attacks, but obviously loses in sheer burst damage. Arc of Destruction, Follow Through, Rend Armor come close to making it respectable though.
  11. Wait, really? When did that get added?
  12. Thanks for getting this out. I've noticed a few issues though:

Blasters powers no longer display their defiance buffs.
Scorch for Tanks displays Res: -20% (Tgt)
  13. My current adapter supposedly doesn't work on Windows 7. The Dell is now on the way.

I've had my current computer for just shy of 7 years now. Outside of getting a network adapter for Wi-Fi, I've never upgraded it. I never upgraded my last computer either which I had for 6 years.

Things that aren't, necessarily, easily upgradeable for you are things like the CPU. The Inspiron570 gets you from point A to point B best.
Fair enough. Sadly, the 570 doesn't include WiFi. Which means a bit over 400...
  15. If I spend 350, I'm NEVER upgrading the graphics card. Besides, I've played CoH on a Raedon 3200. It worked great and could use Ultra Mode. No reason the 4200 should be an issue.

However, it comes with no monitor or speakers. Purchasing the E-350 would leave me with enough left to immediately upgrade to a 1TB HD and I could possibly sell my current comp for 100 bucks to someone. No way I'd be able to sell it for that with no monitor or speakers. If it's CPU is an issue, couldn't I swap my Intel 4 with it?

  17. So your recommendation is simply saving towards a new computer?
  18. I run the game on the lowest graphical settings possible which I'm cool with because my computer works fine. If I were to purchase another computer, I'd be doing so essentially for Ultra Mode.
  19. How much better would it run with just the memory upgrade?
  20. Hello,

I've always been able to play CoH fine over the years (I had to shut everything but IE, Notepad or Wordpad, and Instant Messenger programs down), but I'm looking to upgrade it now due to needing more visual memory to play the game longer. What would you recommend?

  21. The recharge is far too long for the damage. There is no reason this should be on your Tank instead of Combustion.
  22. You guys are on a roll. I love it.
  23. White, do you mind sharing a picture of JoIt with his armors all up? I'm curious as to how Energy Aura looks now with the changes.
