  1. I use the following for mine. Each is a separate keypress, but they are quick.

    f "powexectoggleoff Sprint$$powexecname Fly$$powexecname Hover"
    shift+f "powexecname Sprint"
    ctrl+f "powexectoggleoff Zero-G Pack$$powexectoggleoff Raptor Pack$$powexectoggleoff Goldbricker Rocket Pack"
    alt+f "powexectoggleoff Hover$$powexectoggleoff Fly$$powexectoggleoff Ninja Run$$powexectoggleoff Beast Run$$powexectoggleoff Sprint$$powexectoggleoff Rocket Board"

I switch out the travel power in the F and alt+F binds depending on the character. For one that just has Ninja Run, I change the first 2 to this:

    f "powexecname Ninja Run"
    shift+f powexename Sprint"

That lets me have either of them on separately if I want, but turning them both on is very quick. And turning them off is even quicker, just hit alt+f.

For Super Speed, I like to use this for handling the vertical challenges that SS has problems with.

f "powexecname Ninja Run$$powexecname Super Speed"

Or you could combine it with Aggelakis' suggestion to turn the powers on, then use shift+[key] to turn it off. If you are using WASD, hitting the shift key with the pinkey is not hard and really opens up the keybinding possilbilities.
  2. Were you trying to teleport to the contact? If you had the mission and it wouldn't let you teleport, you could try just going to AP in City Hall and talking to him there. All the contacts from Galaxy were moved there, and anyone with missions for them were supposed to be directed to their new locations. Looked like they missed the Ouro stuff though.

Tony Kord and Paula Dempsey are still in the game. All of the Level 5-10 contacts still exist, you are just not pointed straight to them anymore. The only way to start those contact chains now is do the Atlas Safeguard mission. They will then start introducing you to each other as you complete missions.

Actually, the same is true for all the old contacts up through 50. I don't know of any the brand new content that will direct you to the old contact system. The Contact Finder sends you to Hollows, the Faultline, then Striga. Then I think the new contacts in Talos Island. Or maybe Croatoa. I don't know what you are supposed to do after that if you have never been exposed to the old contact system.

The idea is, you didn't want to spend $10 for the Martial Arts booster because you only wanted Ninja Run and that was too much for one power and a bunch of costume and emotes that didn't appeal to you. Now you can buy just Ninja Run for 500 points and skip all the other stuff you don't want. Bingo, you spent less money.

Now if you actually wanted everything in the booster and didn't buy it before the end of August? You are SOL. But they told everyone here on the Forum that the parts in the booster would be more expensive in the Market before they stopped selling them. And they had sales on all of them this last summer. (Which started the week after I picked up the packs I was missing. ) So unless you started playing in the last 3 or 4 weeks, you had plenty of opportunity to pick up the boosters before the prices went up.

I though it was just my old system. If you can't see the obelisk on a more modern one, then yes it needs to be changed. Especially since the entrance pop up says you can see it.

Zwillinger has said the later arcs are higher level and will get longer. I would guess that they set a standard price for the arcs and that is what they cost, no matter the length. So 400 for 3 missions is not that great, but when it is level 50 and 10 missions, it will still be 400 points.

Again, this isn't being SOLD as a new low level arc for lvl 20. This is PREMIUM content. This should be worth paying for. This should not be less technically sophisticated than an AE arc.

I'm so glad I didn't have to buy this, but I can't imagine how someone would feel if they did. It isn't like I've seen any mention of this being a level 20 only until I was actually on the map.
First, your powers are still slotted. You don't lose any enhancements. A 50 exemped down to 20 is far better off than a level 20 with the same powers. You have more slots in the powers, the enhancements still work (Not as well, but they do work), and the level 50 also has his powers from level 22 and 24 to use.

I managed it on a fire/fire blaster at level 11, so it is not like it is impossible to do. I didn't even have to fight any ambushes, just ran and hit the glowies as fast as possible. And that was without using any purples, stealth or any kind of defenses.

You realize, they still won't be able to have as many badges as you. They can get all of the Reward Token badges, but there are still badges associated with how long you have been subscribed. And they only count time passed, not pre-paid subscriptions. So as along as you keep paying your subscription, they can't catch you.

Actually, they do not unlock the character, they unlock the slot. So they can unlock an empty slot and create a new character or they can unlock a slot that has an existing character in it. They can then play the character or delete it and create a new one. This means they can use a global unlock on a controller, MM, Praetorian, EAT or locked powerset, despite not being able to play them. They would then have to either delete the character or purchase the required license to play it.

What she said. I am not anywhere near 45% on my 50 and I am regularly soft capped on defense, plus at 90% on resistances, which I am also not close to normally.

I have it already also. And it still shows up on the in-game console where you exchange Vanguard merits as something I need to buy. I think that one is just messed up in the database somewhere.

Posi's last statement from the UStream said they had looked at powerset respecs and it would be possible but take huge amounts of time/manpower, so highly unlikely, but that AT and origin changes were flat out impossible. The impression I got was they would have to basically rewrite the game from scratch. So Origin changes, not happening.

I would think most (No not all, some people seem to be driven to be jerks.) farmers were like the idea. The biggest complaint most folks have is the farms drowning out the real story arcs. If the farms are in their own section, that complaint would be taken care of and the farmers have the chance to find the best farming arcs, without accidentally getting some stupid story arc. IOW, their own self interest would push them toward using the system correctly.

The problem of course is first, getting the programming/graphics time for the changes to the UI. Then the decision about what to do with the current arcs. Wipe out all except for the Dev's Choice or try sorting them into categories as it. The first has the advantage of being easy, but there would be some cost of loss of arcs where the author has left the game. Probably not many, since older arcs are likely to have become broken over time, but still some. The second would avoid that, but at the cost of a horrendous workload trying to go through all of the arcs and determining what goes where. Actually, I doubt it would even be possible. Even doing a search on Farm would result in inaccuracies, with some farms not having that in the title or description and some story arcs using it.

Besides, it isn't as if here is that much to do at 50, even with iTrials. The whole point of the game is the journey from 1st to 50th, after all.
This is the way to do it. I don't pick the powers exactly the same way I did the first time I went from 1 to 50 (It has been 7+ years. And I know more about the powers now then I did the fist time through. ) but they are picked at the appropriate level, so they are readily available when I exemp down.

It does not completely ignore the difficulty settings. I have ran it twice on my 50. First time was at 0+4 and I had huge spawns, all the way through all the missions. (And I missed the fact I was getting hit with ambushes the first time. I haven't aggroed that many mobs since the aggro cap was put in. Was a good time. ) Second time, I lowered it to O+1 and had 3 mob spawns all the way through. Much faster that way.

    New question...

As long as you are subscribed you have access to MMs, controllers, and the EATs. If you have not finished Tier 5 in the Paragon Rewards and drop to Premium, you lose access to any of those three. You would need to purchase the ability to play them from the Market. If you have finished Tier 5, then you have access to MMs and Controllers as a Premium without paying extra. But EATs always require a license purchase for Premium players.

Currently, there is no way to tell for certain if you have or have not purchased something on the Market. Some things will show up, but not have a Buy button, so you can't add them to your cart. Others will have the Buy button, but when you try to purchase them, you will be told that you are buying too large a quantity. Unfortunately, there is no indication what it is you are buying that you already own, so if you have multiple things in the cart, you have to remove them one by one to find what it is. They are working on improving the UI to take care of this problem, but no word on how long.

There is already a way to change your powersets. At the Character Select screen, click on one of the slots where it says "Create a Character", then go and pick whichever powersets you want in the AT of your choice.

Looks more like they are progressing the story along in levels. And using the Minions of Igneous meant they could not go to a higher level. The Minions cap out at level 20. And since the Lost change to Rikti at level 30, even without the Minons they could not have gone higher than 25 or 26.

Your enhancements are not harmed at all by exemping. They are not as powerful, but the proportions are the same. And their values will not be hitting the ED cap, meaning that you would actually be getting the full benefit of everything they do, which you aren't getting at 50.

Or just do Lost missions at regular difficulty, since missions have a variable level for mobs. But the fact that the Rikti take over from the Lost and go up to 50 does not help in this arc, since the story is about the Lost obeying their Masters. It is not a story about the Rikti, it is a story about the Lost before they make the change.

On new accounts the Cutscene channel is automatically included on the tabs. It is us old-timers that don't have it. What you can do is set up a character with all the chat channels the way you want them, then go into Options>General, all the way at the bottom. Save your Chat channels to the default file. I always make sure that the results show up in the System channel twice to be sure it is there. On new characters, the channels should load automatically from now on, although sometimes I have to specifically load them. On old characters, go in and load them manually.

My attacks are going to be 5 slotted, not 6. Going from 6 slotting Crushing Impact to 4 slotting Kinetic Combat +1 Mako makes a difference in everything. Only 5% - 10% in damage & recharge, with a big bite out of Accuracy (Which Rage will handle, so no big deal), but I hate giving up DPS. Which is why I will have a separate Trial build. It isn't like my damage output is needed on those.

Solo, it is sub-optimal defenses, 6 slotted attacks and a T3 Musculature Alpha. Until I finish the second T3 anyway.

You will get Global Slot tokens, you may already have some look at the top of the character selection screen on any server, that you can use to unlock any character of your choice or an empty slot to create a new character in.

But if you want to play a Controller, MM, VEAT, or HEAT, you have to have those unlocked as well. So if you want to play your Arachnos Soldier, you need to unlock the slot and have the Villain EATs unlock from the Paragon Market.

I am slowly putting together a Trial build that will have Tough and Weave in it and capping my defenses. What I don't like about it is the way it hurts my attacks. But on Trials I am lucky to get in 2 or 3 hits on spawns before everything is melted anyway, so I am willing to lower my damage a bit for that.

I don't believe it is necessary to have everything maxed to contribute to anything in the game, and I enjoy my supposedly underpar regular build, so I am not in any hurry to finish the Trial build. And if I put it off long enough, maybe Synapse can get the other 3 slots in the game. That would make things a lot easier.

    The Underground

Ran with a PUG today, failed when the Avatar killed Des. Somehow it was dragged into the tunnel, almost halfway to the zone entrance. Certainly made it fast to get back after faceplanting, but made for a very cramped and confusing fight. Not an organized group at all. But it was still a fun time, even if we didn't finish it off.

Yes, "scream and leap" at first contact would certainly have been a different reaction than humanity got from the Vulcans. Especially since it would have been repeated at 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and later encounters, until the Puppeteers finally got their "reasonable" Kziniti. Might have made humanity a bit less trusting of Vulcans, Andorians, etc.

A level 50 invulnerable tanker from my experiences, is almost completely unstoppable (Without the actual Unstoppable power) in normal game content. The Incarnate trials, you can't be so "go on, hit me!" with them, but, even then, with the right incarnate buffs and a good team with you, you can tank the hell out of em regardless...
I don't have the Fighting pool and only Aid Others from the Medicine pool. I can only cap my resistance by hitting Unstoppable and my defense popping purples. So I am forced to do missions at only 2x4 rather than x8 and I die occasionally on trials. (Mostly Keyes ) Obviously not nearly as tough as I could be, but still feel powerful powering through missions.

    10 Years of CoH

I didn't hear about COH until it was already in Beta, not long before the headstart, too late for me to join in. But on launch day, I called in sick to work, drove 30 miles to the nearest computer game store and bought it, came back and started playing.

In the last 7 years, I have been unsubscribed twice, both times because the credit card expired and I forgot to up date the information on my game account. So less than 24 hours total. I have not always played the game, due to computer issues and occasional feelings of being burned out, but it has always been on my computer, ready and waiting for me. And I always come back.

And I am still on the same computer. Added ram and upgraded the video card, but the rest has not changed. And I really want to change that to see the new stuff. Maybe next year.
