  1. Ahh, glad that it is a known bug.
  2. It seems that your character description, the little biography that you can write about your character, no longer maintains formating. Specifically, it ignores paragraph returns when you click the finish button, turning it into one big wall of text.

    Was this changed intentionally? Or is it a bug? I know for a fact that you used to be able to format this section with paragraphs...
  3. That's the thing, EM still has absolutely insane single-target DPS, stacking hard control that's universal across multiple attacks, and runs split damage weighted heavily towards energy in ET.

    It's still a great set, aside from the color of the energy fists...
  4. I would say that stamina is indeed necessary for an optimal build. You want to be able to run Lightning Field 100% of the time, whether there's a single target or an entire spawn. I also recommend utilzing Darkest Night from Ghost Widow's patron. The (-)damage is basically resistance to all (and stacks wonderfully, bringing my toon's Smashing/Lethal resistance potentially above 70% total), and the toHit debuff is a layer that you lack. Stamina will let you run both of these endurance heavy toggles full time while using Power Sink.

    You also really want to take Health, because you have no regen or +hp anywhere in the set. If you're taking Health for survival reasons, Stamina is just a single pick away...
  5. QR regarding Brute and Tank damage:

    A Brute would need roughly 13% enhanced damage to match a Tank. You're even at 6.5% Fury, at 7% you're ahead. You can basically sneeze and beat a Tank's damage.
  6. DM/ELA is a g-d against Rikti. You can get 1.5xRage with a good Soul Drain, and it's easy to agro cap with ELA against them.

    My RWZ "challenge" is 2 EBs and 4 bosses at +4, with accompanying fodder. It's that good.

    All this shows is how neutered resistance based mellee armors are and how over-buffed defense sets are relative to resistance sets. Elusivity and DR are the culprits here.

    Electric Armor is probably the worst secondary in the entire game for PvP. It lacks layered mitigation having no heal, no regen, and no defense. Most importantly, every single set gets resistance to all in both their toggles and in weave, so the benefits of actually HAVING psi resistance, which was once a boon in PvP, is now given to every other set in the game. On top of this, the only form of mez protection is now a "miss," meaning that resistance is being over-penalized relative to defense with the new mez system. (Fire, DA, and ELA would ideally recieve higher mez resistance values than defense sets.)

    ELA's shortcomings are exacerbated in PvP and this anecdote has no bearing.
  8. My VG has 8 storage racks, 1 vault, 5 inspiration collectors, and 4 enhancement tables. We also only have 4 real-life friends in our villain group and are able to ignore some of the issues other groups face.

    The enhancements tables are divided as 1 for purples, 2 for set IOs and 1 for regular IOs.

    We tend to PvP and run relentless SFs a lot, and thus keep about 150 Resurgence, 50 Keen Insights, 50 Escapes, 25 Strength of Will, 25 Restoration, 50 Robust, and 50 Phenomenal Lucks on hand. We store tier 2 inspirations by the rez rings for general/solo use.

    Salvage storage is 8 bins, broken down as:

  9. Having an organized base with properly marked bins largely solves solves this issue. Do we really need a developer to spend their valuable time coding something this trivial?

    Any base attention should go towards greater issues. Storage permission was indeed one of them and a great start.
  10. The new animation is great. I never liked the old animation that looked like a poke to your opponent's shoulder. There's clearly a transfer of energy being displayed here: Internal-&gt;Fists-&gt;Opponent (Boom).

    It's also one of the highest DPA attacks available for any Brute...
  11. I wouldn't be surprised if more than 50% of my villain deaths in RV have come from chain puking for 10+ seconds. Hero heavies are beyond broken. The puking animation prevents Break Free inspirations from working for a while, too.

    As for my heroes, the villain heavies are mostly a joke. Their most damaging attack is a PBAoE, and their mez in an immobilize.
  12. You pretty much need -regeneration to solo GMs. The amount of raw DPS is largely unattainable. See: Illusion/Rad conroller.
  13. Yes, that MOB would be one of the reasons I qualified my statement by mentioning debuffs.

    One thing to consider: 90% resistance has 90% debuff resistance. 45% defense has variable debuff reistance based upon secondary. That's a significant advantage for resistance toons.
  14. No matter how hard you try, HP regen must be factored unless heavy debuffs are employed to neuter regeneration.

    You'd really be looking at resist values + regen versus defense values +regen. 90% resistance wins against everything within reason due to better synergy here.

    This is the point. Placing lots of MOBs into a large map and killing them is fine. Placing a ton of Com. Officers around a bomb so that one snilpe followed by an AOE attack kills 14 +4 opponwnts while awardng Lt. level rewards is not.

  17. Why are resistance bonuses from unique IOs affected by AT modifiers while defense bonuses are unhindered? Specifically, Aegis and Shield Wall uniques only grant 3% resistance to ATs with a 1.0 AT modifier, while most ATs are receiving significantly less. Gladiators Armor and Steadfast Protection grant a full 3% defense to all ATs.

    I'd really like to know why the developers are so afraid to grant any meaningful resistance bonuses through the IO system. My ELA brute gets 2.2% resistance to all from Shield Wall-- the equivalent of 1.1% defense to all. What's so scary about meaningful resistance bonuses from IOs?

    (PS- don't let me begin to rant about the other resistance/defense IO disparities...)

    Couldn't agree more. Resistance is horrible in PvP right now. By horrible, I mean that a /SR stalker is tougher than a /Fire tanker in many instances. Sets like ELA for brrutes, which pretty much have ONLY resistance, are complete garbage.

    My SG mate saw some Elite Chain Guns arranged nicely in a coalition base and wanted to place them in our base.

    He gave up. Why? The current base salvage system is indeed more complex than what they are proposing (and needlessly so). He grew frustrated with the very specific recipes required to make components and the mind-numbing amount of useless base slavage that won't combine into anything of value. He didn't know that the Supercollider could craft all salvage and was frustrated with jumping from one work bench to another. We also have an IO crafting table and thus lack one of the three tiers of worktables. Oops, without using a Buff Station, he was occluded from even crafting tier 2 salvage.

    That is a lot of speific and largely esoteric knowledge required to make a base item. The new sysytem is: look at recipe, buy the 3 to 5 invention salvage required from the market interface, then craft. That's it.

    The whole process of turning Base salvage into Component salvage is a useless step and I am glad that it is gone. Two of my 4 SG mates are already excited about the new base system and cost structure.

    I will basically be able to build the base that I always wanted. My SG of 4 close friends has about 18 million prestige, and all of the functional items and rooms are now within our reach.

    I am extremely happy with this change. Should PvP base raids become viable and Item storage protection and access become improved, I will open our base to more players and base raid regularly.

    I will start again from the ground up. Some crated items and filled storage bins will be reused, but anything that nets significant savings will be turned over for the new prices.

    Probably 50 to 80 hours, or even more. I am very excited about the repricing and would love to put more defense items all over the place.

    I love every aspect of the repricing. Base rent is a little uncler to me right now, bt it seems that it will cost less than 20,000 prestige, which I am currently paying for our plot size.

    If base rent is indeed in the 2,000 to 10,000 prestige range, I would like a rent auto-pay feature. Port Oaks in CoV is a little off the beaten path and I'd prefer for the rent to be automatically deducted.

    Long term, I highly anticipate base raids and using more defense items.

    Short term, our base will look prettier, have more space, but be largely the same in function. Our teleporter room will be more refined (one big room rather than one medium and one small). I look forward to having a secure plot with multiple power and control rooms.

    I see little negative effect. Perhaps, some of the crafted buffs will cost too much, but I have no clue how the market will react to the amount of IO salvage being redeemed from base salvage and thrown on the market. I feel that prices will be just fine overall.

    This new system greatly simplifies the salvage process. The three non-base builders in my group are comfortable with the IO salvage system but were intimidated by the complexity and vastness of the base salvage system.

    Well, I've been gobbling up all kinds of salvage, base and IO, and converting it to component salvage. At the current redemption of 20 brainstorms for a random rare drop, I'm producing a Rare salvage for 3,000 invested in todays market. One side effect is that I will have access to close to 4,000 rare salvage drops at my beck and call. This is rather unprecedented in the market place. If we're talking common salvage, it's 20 times that amount.

    I still haven't expanded our SG beyond the core group of friends. We were burned early by base thieves taking IOs and salvage and the safeguards and controls have not improved.

    If you guys intend to make bases a PvP draw, please allow us account/global chat based controls on who can access what bins.

    I've always preferred Negative Energy having played so many ATs with the various damage types. Now I know why.
