  1. I'm going to try for vids that I don't think everyone's seen, rather than the standard favorites. My biggest worry is that mine cross the line from "wtf" to "OMG MY EYEEEEESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

    Bryan Fuller...crap...

I'm sorry, I just can't understand you when you try and put these two concepts together. Thus far, I've found Bryan Fuller to consistently put out nothing but pure awesomeness.

But after reading his inaccurate post could decide not to buy the game at all because what Judas said makes it sound like CoH is trying to run a scam on new people buying older editions.
Given that we're in a thread talking about GR, and given that any influx of new players is most likely to come from the new boxes on the shelves, it didn't seem that hard to figure out.

But yes, for accuracy's sake: If you don't buy GR then you can't use GR and therefore I'm sure you can still make a hero or villain in PC or RI.

But AFAIK, once you have GR on your account, then you can only make a character in PC or RI if you already have characters. The level doesn't matter, again AFAIK, so for someone that has only the GR edition could just make a level 1 in Praetoria, log out and make whatever they wanted. But I doubt that'll be clear since the devs definitely want new players starting in Praetoria.

Well, "loved" might be strong. But one of the worst? (On a par with Howard the Duck, Stop or my Mom will Shoot, Gigli, Chairman of the Board, It's Pat?) Dude, either you haven't seen many movies, or your movie sense is a little skew.
Evolution is one of the only movies I've walked out of. Horrible doesn't even begin to cover it.

BUT Hawkeye's first appearance was in 1964 and Bullseye not until 1976 so not sure hwo ripped off who there.... (Unless of course you just mean the Ultimates Hawkeye and not Hawkeye in general)
Regular Hawkeye is just a bad Green arrow ripoff. It's Ultimate Hawkeye who was ripping off Bullseye.
  6. I've been watching too, like both of the actors...definitely good to see it come back.
  7. Since it's easier to believe Santa Claus* is going to come and carry us away on his magic sleigh, we'll never take the threats seriously enough until it's too late.

Given that brand new players MUST create their first character in Praetoria and can no longer start in the Isles or PC, I would hope that the zone is tune for noobs.
  9. Apparently the person that necro'd this thread didn't realize the Incarnate stuff has been removed from GR.
  10. Just a bunch of junk "theories" combined with the usual fanwhining because it didn't end how someone wanted it to.
  11. Add BND in there and USM is the last bastion of anything remotely resembling decent Spidey.
  12. So...shaky cam + unknown super heroes + famous director's kid. Unless there's some funky math going on here, that all adds up to suck.
  13. I bet that Star Wars movie would have been freakin' awesome.

Yes, that's him. And why people keep casting him, I can't understand. He makes a block of wood look like Laurence Olivier.
  15. Games that try to be novels or films invariably suck when they stray too far in that direction. For example, there's a FFamous console series that used to be great, but is now criticized as being nothing but cut scenes strung together with some button mashing.

On the other hand, when the environment and setting are essential to the story of the game...oh, say a post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland, for example...then having a large amount of "sandbox" type play takes the game from good to great. Ideally, there's still a core story, but in between doing the story missions you're free to roam the world doing whatever you want.
  16. This is relevant to my interests. I will participate.
  17. I'm starting a write-in effort for Firefly.

    You can't stop the signal.
  18. I love QL. And Belassario does make good TV in general, so I'd love to see this get off the ground. Even more, I'd like to see them give a new series a try, as long as it was a sequel and not a reboot.
  19. This is good. The one season wonder draft is going to get cut short due to the suits meddling.

Isn't it ironic, don't you think?
  20. I wish they would have done something a little more creative with the models. They're just the same 3 standard "people" forms we've had since day 1...they might as well be someone's recolored Phantom Army. Even the clockwork in the Anti-Matter missions from 6 years ago made an effort to be visually interesting.

This game really needs new assets in terms of skeletons, mission maps etc. Consistently churning out stale looking art assets because of stubborn refusal to upgrade the basic elements of the system isn't going to make for long term profitability.
  21. Yep. Know exactly where the spawn points are, where the bosses are, where the elevators are, where the glowies are.

Maps were one of the things they could have added a lot more of and maintained interest longer.
  22. Maybe it will be a trilogy, with the sequels 10-15 years apart.

That would be affordable at least. As would a Nightwing or solo Robin show.
