Did I hear 'discount' and 'special' in the same post?!
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, I think so...right?
~checks~ Yes. -
It took some time to get to the point where I felt comfortable saying this and have faith I could back the words with something solid. Those words may even be "now accepting commissions", or some variant like that
But for anyone who may be interested you can check out the details in the latest journal entry over on my DA page here.
As additional hypnotic persuasion and in response to the growing fact that I have to buy a bed for my daughter now that she's growing out of her crib that will be going to her soon-to-be-born sister in a few months (man...I feel old), I will be offering my fellow CoX'ers a 20% Discount on anything you commission from me for the next couple of weeks (excluding the rough and dirty special...wow that sounds intriguing doesn't it?!)
Send me a Note through DA, or a PM here and lets discuss some work to be had! -

It's a little blurry, but my PC is somewhat visible. It's the monstrous black tower behind my 360.

I think you must be confused, that's your Television, where's your PC? -
Hey Bill, mind building me one too while you're at it

I should get around to snapping a shot of my...er... "table" just so I can say I have swords too, heh. Although, granted, they're only letter-opener sized versions but I still find it amusing they just so happen to be sitting next to my computer currently.

I have a question. What is the point of having more than one monitor? Seems to be a common theme here. What do you use it for?
[/ QUOTE ]
EVERYTHING.
[/ QUOTE ]
That about sums it up!
Like Frost said, it may seem redundant but once it is available to you, you'll definitely find uses for it. I'd run Photoshop and CoX in separate screens simultaneously, or just about anything really. Had a second screen available for a short period that I ran movies in while I worked on other things; kept firefox open behind it while running CoX, etc. -

Copic IS a brand, so if you say "Copic markers", anyone will generally assume that you're talking about the ACTUAL Copic markers, not any marker ever.
And from having a set of Prismacolor to going to Copics, I'd have to say that there's a definite brand difference. Not only do the Copics have a much MUCH better color selection, but they blend like a dream. They also have better nibs, and are re-fillable.
[/ QUOTE ]
Is the brand, yeah, but have quickly become the type in general for some for being the first of their type and thus kind of filtering across the board when it comes to describing them. ~shrug~ Either way, yes, I was talking about store-brand variations. With which I sat in the store for fifteen minutes playing with dozens of both and the difference was minimal, especially when broken down to my only wanting gray scale ones at the time. The only major difference I found between the ones I purchased and the original-copics was their blending abilities which, while somewhat "neh", wasn't overall that big a deal for me. I didn't even touch Prismacolor ones so I can't speak for those. -

So uh...what's that color stuff in the corner...
You'd think my attention would've gravitated to...other things but then there was color and it all went to hell, as they say -
My vote goes on BS/SD just for the sake of it. Easily get the (obvious) Knight, Roman, Tech Looks, if the Samurai Armor is available to you then you could, technically, use a shield with it under the remnants that lower ranked soldiers in the Korean, Chinese and Japanese Armies (at some point) all carried shields of some fashion. While Samurai's themselves didn't to free both hands for complete mobility and had an armor otherwise designed to do just what the shield was for...that's besides the point and most people probably wouldn't speak against it.
That would cover at least four of five possible costume slots. Last one could tossup between Viking/Celtic based on preference in heritage.
Dual Blades just doesn't seem as fun for the idea -
I gotta ask, did anyone else see the third place winner and open up Technologic?
...heh, I wouldn't mind having that shirt in audio daft punk form. -

...strange, I just bought most of the gray scale copics from 10% up to 90% for less than $12.00 plus the blend copic that basically does nothing more than let me stretch a shade to white than really blend anything -_-; Spent like $1.80 a pen for six. Regular price here is ~$4.00 for generics and ~$5.00 for anything namebrand copic. But $10? o_O Wow. And like, a full 72ish Set is only like $80 Maybe that just doesn't seem expensive to me...
[/ QUOTE ]
Not that I'm an expert on such things, but...in the US at least, a set of 72 (copics) goes for something like $300.
Unless those sets were being sold by a guy in a white van or something.
[/ QUOTE ]
Copic Copic yeah, like $330 for the set. But a store here has a "store brand" that they sell off and on for half the price (or more when it comes to sets). While it may not be consistently cheap, they have stuff on "sale" so often that it's not hard to catch them pretty cheap.
Quick Edit Addition: Thought I'd mention I did take a look to see if I could find what I was talking about but they don't put the store brands on their site (wonder why) so I couldn't link to it, but I was amused at the fact that the costs for original copics are listed over $5 nearly $6 a piece and even a set of 12 with "x free markers included to a total of 12" listed at over $50.00.
I'll stick to my generic brand that's just as good -

Pity ... not in anymore, but you know what? Now I can do both of the ones I have in mind and be the greatest competitor that no one can loose to
And, wow, to the topic I quoted; Reepo is one of the posters listed there, surprised considering I didn't think that was that popular. Also amusing how there's like 10 Dark Knight posters in that list. -

Internet meme.. Stuff that gets passed around among people really really quickly and tends to be pretty well known. lolcats, YTMND, Rickrolling, Star Wars Kid, Numa Numa are good examples.
a dA meme would be similar but passed around and tend to be more well known within dA
[/ QUOTE ]
I just thought I'd help that along. Granted, I can't link to the YTMND that came to mind first, but the site in general should be okay. Now everyone is infected with internet lolz knowledge!
For a DA inspired Meme, would be something like it's spreading since it wasn't too long ago that this went around.
Oh, and I can't forget: This should be added to the list. -
[quick reply]
I've decided, in general response to this entire thread, that the "Six Second Rule" should be amended into the Scrapper Description on the AT Selection Screen.
Maybe then it would sink in for some folks that the way most (see: Experienced Scrappers) of us play Scrappers after a fashion is the way that the developers intended for us to play as. Solid Damage and enough survivability to stand long enough to make everything bleed to death before we could slap a band aid on and stick a knife in the next thing that looks at us sideways, funny from across the room and down the hall in the next room up the elevator.
Screw the other seven names on the team window, you're just padding since the mechanics state I can't target you and thus is the only reason you're still standing when I walk back through the rooms you're still catching up to. Not that I don't value everyone's rights to team as they see fit; but if you have a member on your team that is self sufficiently capable of taking care of themselves in a manner that warrants their ability to solo and 8-Man Team Generated Mob, then let them if their not in a capacity to buff/support the team otherwise. Generally this means: Let the Scrapper Go.
This has been my mentality in nearly every game I've ever played. Take advantage of the member on the team that is self reliant and use that to your advantage. Feels a bit redundant though to say it though since for those of us that it matters to, already know this, and those that refuse to listen will continue to face plant in the wake of Scrapperdom.
Hail the Era of the Scrapper with our Wernerscores and School of BillZ Memberships breaking Arcanatime with our DPS while we pad our missions with 8-Man Teams and wonder why the difficulty scale says invincible but feels like easy mode. -

I can pretty much open my playlist, hit random and hit a 75% rate on Scrapper-Qualified Music out of a 3,000+ List. I'm sorry, I can't post the whole thing

John_Printemps, I think I had a Thomas Crown moment with yours as well. Maybe using an in game screenshot would tie it more to CoX or the war wall would be a nice touch. Magritte was a great inspiration for your piece.

You know, I hadn't even thought of the war wall. That could've easily worked over a "stormy sky" and been tons easier o_o; But of course I had to do the more complicated one -
