I think of Rage as a situational power, maybe the fight is goin wrong, the healer died, kick in Rage, finish everyone off and recover, that sort of things.
Indeed I'll slot a taunt in Invincibility, after 6 slottiing Fire Blast I'll put the slot in Invincibility, then at lvl 50 i'll put the remaining slot from the lvl in Rage, to make it 2 recharge. -

You can only get to 85% I think with tough ( assuming 3 slotted powers ). However that makes a huge difference when fighting S/L enemies.

I believe Weave is well worth picking as it provides about the same damage mitigation as Resist Elements and Resist Energies combined ( according to DrRocks CoH Damage Comparision program ).

Temp Invuln: 47,07%
Unyielding: 7,85%
Res Physical Dmg: 11,77%

Tough is 23,54%

90,23%
Not much more than 90% but at least at the cap..

Sad but true, often in pug it happens to be the one that has to recover the aggro from the random troller that tried to stun the whole mob while u were fighting another one, the random flying healer that aggroes the catwalk behind him without noticing and such..
But that's what make a tanker really good, dealing with such problems, nonetheless, a tanker really shines when he's the one to take the aggro and manage it from the beginning of the fight. -

Most of a tank's life is spent complaining - about i5, about sappers, about psi, about ED, about i6, can you not just play the game? Its fun if you just give it a go, away from the complainfest in this thread.
I am a tank, and i admit i haven't played as my main much in i6, but it really doesnt make difference if you are GOOD at what you do, and if you die, who cares? If you do it is quite a decent source of comedy which you can exploit with the rest of your team, which could clear the angry obsessing tank stereotype we have on CoH. But then again, you could just complain some more.
Also, good point khaine, but the other rock tank powers are very good if you slot them, and i much prefer not being in GA (No offence bedrocks of the world 0.o).

You just have an AT that needs to be played WELL to work, not just the unkillable herding machine of before!
I have an invuln tanker, currently lvl 42 and I'm having big fun with him because every situation has not to be takne lightly because it's a possible faceplant!
Maybe you all need to re-learn to play your toon because everyone that says"I reired my tank because of I5" makes me laugh..

That is if you want to be a tanker, the scranker route is another way around.. -

Planning to go for Fire Blast and Fireball as in the original post, with either Rage or Fly at lvl 49, with only 2 slots, after 6 slotting Fireball.
Every people that teamed with me thusfar said my build is workin and after tankin +3/+4 Pretorian AVs with not much difficulty I think I can say the same. -
Make that 1.9 lvls!!

Quite a fast TF, fastest of the SS i think!
The insane one has been the Dr. Quarterfield, it took us like 14 hours to finish(we started at 9 pm, someone *couch*Phil*cough* played till 6 am but then they've gone to bed and we finished that the next day....
That's hardcore playin, i've felt asleep on my chair(literally)at 3pm.....
If I'll reach the level with my tanker I'll join in! -

If it's a power based script, then it will fir it up even if he's just gone above 50% and we'll put him down again, I tried a little while ago with marauder's unstoppable..
With the current recharge for unstoppable he cudn't fire it that often, we had the time to come back from the hossie after a wipe, bring him down after he regenned up and he fires Unstoppable once again..
So I guess that with Hami it can work the same way.. -

Good fun, this has been one of the most amazing moment in my CoH history, never saw inside of eden spire before and it's really worth it, amazing location and the Crystal Titan is awesome!!(I've been off the fight for about half his health takin screenshots)

[/ QUOTE ]Not true, with 1 acc, 3 dmg, 1 end red and 1 recharge u can achieve the same exact dps u had with 1 acc 5 dmg(most common slotting)at that time for ppl without Focused accuracy or Targeting Drone.

Maybe 2 full trollers teams with as many */Rad-Kin we can find to help the recharge...
Best case imo wud be 2 full teams of grav/rad or grav/kin for recharge buffs(AM or SB)and to try and have asm many as we can out, leaving the Hami tank as far as taunt can reach and the healers as far away as possibile to hope they can be out of the citoplasm to not increase his mez res..
