You might want to swop Heavy Mallet with Stone Mallet there not sure how you're getting Heavy at level 4 o.O
[/ QUOTE ]
In one of the latest patch they swapped the tier 4 attack for Taunt, so you can pick the 3rd attack on the set(usually a good one: Bone Smasher, Haymaker, Heavy mallet and so forth)with Taunt, putting Taunt as available only at lvl 10 -

real world? what server is that? some kind of special event? new zone? temp power?
WHAT IS THIS REAL WORLD?!
[/ QUOTE ]
It'll come in Issue 712: 'Along Came a Bug', after the expansion City of Citizens were you'll only be able to see some screenshots every now and then and you'll have to figure out what happened in the meanwhile, with new AT with random primary/secondaries picked between the already existing ones and put together badly...Oh wait...Sounds familiar.. -

Dwarf just got that sheer coolnesslike jewel said, each time you turn into that beast you get the "me bash?" feeling
[/ QUOTE ]
god yes, except the times in which to get the feeling of "RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN N"
[/ QUOTE ]
And you can't because the dwarf is as slow as a granite tank! -
I'd get stamina as a human only WS without ever thinkin, if you run all the toggles to keep you alive(3 shields, shadow cloak, acrobatics and maybe Oppressive Gloom)you'll need stamina otherwise you'll be drained of end before killing a single foe to use Stygian Circle on..

After Gauntlet was introduced
[/ QUOTE ]
Tankers always had an inherent taunt with their attacks, it's just been nerfed by I5 and it's been showed as an inherent to make us think we got something new. -
We're coalitioned with all of the other 1AT SGs, so basically is the same drill as other SGs: not many members online but lots of people in the coalition
I can invite and I'll likely be on as my WS tonight, send a tell to @Jiaozy and I'll have you invited -

So with I7 arriving at teh end of the month begining of next month on teat at least, will we still be able to hit 40 before it goes live.

The real question is: will we _ever_ be able to hit 40? -
Some people are recently getting a bug that opens up an arc when you end another even if you don't have called your contact for months and they can't get new ones till they find out wich one is open.
Anyway, Maria Jenkins is a lvl 45+ contact, she can be introduced to you by any of the other contacts in PI, she'll give you some missions before the arc, then she'll give you the arc if you have no more than 1 arc open. -
Now that I'm almost at the same point with a tri-form WS I feel I can make some comments
These are my personal opinions and I'm talkin about the way I play my WS, so don't take them as a bible.
I took pretty much the same powers, except some stuff:
I never picked Swift, the change in speed is minimal and I picked Super Speed instead since it stacks with Shadow Cloak and makes you invisible.
I have both my Mires slotted for 1 acc 3 recharge, as the damage is not that big on them, but having them up more often is vital, you could go with 2 acc 3 recharge I guess but I was short of slots
The Dwarf Drain is priceless, I have mine 6 slotted(1 acc 3 heal 2 rec redux)and it's the only power that I won't rethink the slotting of.
My Dark Exctraction is slotted for 3 damage and 3 recharge but that's mainly because i like having 2 of them out almost perma, your slotting might be more effective tho
I tried Gravitic Emanation and respecd it out, with SS+ Shadow Cloak I usually run in a mob, fire Eclipse, Sunless Mire, Dwarf Mire and waste said mob, without needs of disorienting them
As a filler I would swap Starless Step for Grant Invisibility, as there are situations where you need it(a mob with a Sapper and a Quantum/Void?)so the sooner you get it, the better.
Anyway, this is what I'm goin around currently:

I 5 slotted TP at lvl 3 and 5 because the pants resistance from the shield or the tickling from the Ebon Eye aren't really needed, or at least I still have to feel the need of it as the first 6 levels are very fast, then you have nova for the damage and that's pretty much all I needed till now(lvl 48).
The shields are mainly for showing off, no real need of em as I'm mainly in shapeshifts and in human I only use Sunless Mire, Eclipse and Stygian Circle(yes, i often forget to use Unchain Essence -

Apologies for not being there, thought it was a 2pm start time
[/ QUOTE ]
No worries mate, when I logged on there were only me(40 mins late), Phil and Genergy so even if you were there in time we cudn't have started anyway -
In the Invuln set absolute must have and cornerstones of the set are Temp Invuln, Unyielding and Invincibility.
Tough Hide is also very good being a passive that gives as much defence as Weave from the Fighting pool.
Resist Elements and Energies are worthless as secondary IMO, they are barely useful on a tank.
Resist Phisical Damage is good as it rise the already good S/L resistance of invulnerability.
Unstoppable is a matter of tastes, some worship it, some hate it..
For a Brute I would skip Hand Clap aswell.
Jab-Punch-Haymaker is one of the best attack chains for a brute IMO, so pick em, slot em, love em.
Footstomp and KO Blow are both almost must-have.
Rage with 3 rec redux and 3 tohit buff is excellent, you may even remove your accuracy slots from attacks(unless you plan on PvPing)if you're planning of keeping it perma.

I don't complain too much. Or at least I didn't until I got told that an Inv tank isn't a real tank any more.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you listen to what people says, anything that's not able to survive a full map of +5s isn't a real tank anymore..
Tanks aren't blindly overpowered now, they're more challenging to play and they require some thinkin, while up untill I4 they were absolutely unkillable and stupidly easy to play..
I remember at lvl 18(pre-SOs....)herding a full outdoor map filled with Family, they were level 24 and I was on DOs..
I had to use Dull Pain only once, at the end when I had all the 250odd foes around me, while the fire tanker burned em down with a couple of Burn patches..
Invuln can still tank, better than Stone IMO, where for tanking I mean take as much aggro as possible off the team mates..To do that I have to jump around like crazy with my tank, especially with foes with ranged attacks and I don't see how a stone tank can do this..They may take loads of damage and never flinch while in Granite but IMO they lack the mobility far too much to be rally effective..
But that's just my point of view and I don't mean any offense! -

it is a brand new world and you have to adapt with it.

Good g.od, someone that had a tanker back in I4 and never complains! -
Hehe, I'll have a look at the team arrangement some days before the raid, I'll post in here with the leaders etc..

[ QUOTE ]
You've done the right thing, the other shields are practically useless with no knockback protection.
[/ QUOTE ]
For the knockbacks and a bit of hold protection you could pick Acrobatics, the big problem are stuns and sleep effects that will detoggle you and it can be a real pain to retoggle in mid battle.
That's one big problem of human forms kheldian: the quant/voids gun have a very high chance of stunning and detoggling you, leaving you vulnerable to their pummeling.. -
[ QUOTE ]
Irrationally enough, it always bugs me when people come out with statements like that, as if speed was the only qualifier for travel-power status.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, you get a travel power to reach your destination faster, otherwise you could stick with Sprint, so I guess that speed is, in fact, a qualifier for travel power.
For moving with ease, chatting and rolling whatever you could simply pick Hover and slot it for flight speed: Sprint speed but while flying so you would have lots of time to chat, go make a cuppa and such
