  1. This is excellent, tyvm! I really appreciate all the help! ... I always liked soul and I will pick it up for my main build. I think I will just use a second build with just common IOs and Mu for farming fire missions if I want to do that also! ... I will use these builds for sure ty!

  3. Mind in general seems like fun, but not having an AoE Immobilize always annoyed me. I just wish they would PLEASE give us Illusion! ... Not having an AoE Immo in that seemed fine since PA kept aggro around them normally ...
  4. I have PS 5 slotted with Armageddon and one of those is chance for fire ... the damage is 142.62(70.65) and it recharges in 12 seconds. I think it is very powerful when slotted up. I see it stunning tons of mobs including bosses. So 25% might not seem like a lot, but when doing 8 man missions you see it a lot.

    • Make Arctic Air get a benefit from Domination : +2.98s Confused (mag 3) (after 1 second delay) (15% chance) If in Domination Mode (this is how Bonesmasher works currently, in Domination Mode it gets 2 50% to stun checks). I've made it only 15% chance because this effect can self-stack, unlike the normal one
    • Buff Ice Patch : 7.5% ToHit Debuff. Earthquake has one, I'd give patch one too, but not quite so high (since it's better at knockdown). Also allow Patch to accept -ToHit enhancements.
    • Remove the -knockdown from the Holds, or drop it to around 5 seconds worth.
    • Flash Freeze should be normalised as people have suggested (which allows it to become Alpha Control, although Ice Patch from cover is good at that too).
Well, maybe buff the pet, but definitely change his horrible AI since most of the time he just stands around.

PLEASE make AA benefit from domination ... OMG that would be excellent! ... even if Domination added +1 mag confuse it would be great to just have something extra ...

I think ice patch is fine except for the fact that we can't use it with frostbite ... I would be fine with a buff though lol ...

Yes definitely remove the KD protection from ALL aoe immobilizes!

I know flash freeze needs to be changed, it is almost useless ...

I truly do love ice control though ... GLACIER IS AWESOME! ... The best aoe hold in the game imo! ...Arctic air is amazing ... and it gets 100% better once you slot it with CC proc!
  6. Will the V Pack ever be offered in the store? I am so annoyed because I let my account lapse on accident for a while forgetting about this pack. Now if there is no chance to ever get it then it really upsets me greatly. That pack would have kept me playing even longer making new toons with those cool V Items. I have been waiting for months to make a weapon scrapper/brute so I can level with those!
  7. I am level 50 ice/Psi ... I have perma haste, perma dom, perma DP ... I have softcap S/L def. I can take out 8 man groups without a problem. I kill them in moments and it just seems ludicrous that people call ice control gimp? WoW, I need to seriously try some other primaries then lol ... Maybe the point is that you have to be super IO'd to do all this and a set like earth can do it with just normal non set IO's or SOs?

Ice control/Psi is the most fun and best toon I have ever played though honestly ... except jack frost he really seems to suck and I might drop him to get fly in a few months when I get my 60 vet ...
  8. Does anyone play an Ice/Psi now that is not soft capped? I am just wondering how important it really is since we slow attacks and confuse. I am just considering all my options since I find fire epic power pool quite appealing for making things dead faster ...
  9. TYVM! Anything is great for a start! It is appreciated!
  10. I am looking for an Ice/Psi build that is Perma Dom and gives softcap S/L ?

I have looked for pages and it does not seem like many play Ice at all ... I think I saw an ice/ice but not an Ice/Psi ...

If anyone can throw anything together that would be great! Feel free to use Purples ... feel free to use Bas Gaze also since I have many sets on different mules ... Use LotG recharges or whatever ... I am fire PPP right now for leveling to 50, but will change to ice if needed no problem! ... tyvm!

right now I have all powers in ice except Chillbain and Shiver which I do not want and I have all powers in Psi except Psy Scream which I do not want either ... everything else is basically whatever is needed I suppose! Thanks again for any help!
  11. Gaaaah! I think I knew that, but I was hoping I was wrong lol ... OK tyvm! NO way I am playing elec/elec then! tyvm! SO SAD
  12. I was wanting to go elec/elec and I have a question about Thunderstrike ... It seems like a great AoE all except the horrible 80% chance for KNOCKBACK! It is ludicrous they would ruin our T8 power by putting KB on it instead of KD! ... My question though is will Chain Fences keep them from being knocked back? If it does then cool and everything would be fine, but I see nothing in chain fences that says it offers KB/KD protection ... so let me know please before I level one up and get mad because my T8 power blows and knocks everything back ... tyvm~!
  13. The added bonus of not being able to be sapped by sappers and the new very annoying super stunners is very nice!
  14. I am on to my next L50 project. I have a WM/WP Brute I am playing now. I looked and there is not a guide for this set which is weird. I put together a little something in mids and need any advice to make it better. TYVM!

I took a brute break after getting my claws/sr to 50 and made a fire/rad controller to 50 and I sure miss all the smashing!

I basically want as much defense as possible without gimping myself.

  15. Yes, please get rid of weapon re-draw. I just got boxing and un-like brawl it makes me re-draw my mace every time. It is incredibly annoying. There is no reason that it can't box with the offhand like brawl does. This really needs to be changed imo.

You know you can turn off all the effects and it does not hide your costume at all anymore.

Also, I have a L50 claws/sr at 50 and he was quite fun, but I quit him because I could not stand all the auto hit stuff on task forces and tips/missions full of DE and carnies kicking the crap out of you. On a scrapper it would not bother me nearly as much, but when you are supposed to be the "tank" it is annoying. Yes we should all have weakness and that is a good thing, but with SR the weakness normally means NO protection at all and you take full damage to everything.

You will go to feeling godly to dead and you really never know when it might happen lol

/SR over-all though is great, but just think it needs to be revamped some to fit in better with the way stuff is today. I also think All the auto hit stuff in the game is BS, but oh well.

Awesome advice Local tyvm! This was exactly what I needed and it is much appreciated! As always you are here to help thankfully!

Yes, that would be excellent Local! Please tell me any ideas you have. Also, money is of no concern so whatever is fine. I was also wanting the Muscular Boost, but if you have reasons why something else would be better let me know! TYVM!

Part of me is wanting to take the fire pool as well for fireball, RotP and consume! It is kinda a kill them before they kill me kinda thing lol ... I dunno ... IW is nice, but very boring ...

Well, I just noticed that I had Radiant Aura 6 slotted and I do not know why, so I think I will try that chance for hold proc in char since there really is not another place to put a slot at that level. When I mentioned it would be nice against AVs etc and with the quick 2 sec recharge I can see it might be more useful than I thought for stacking hold esp with CC always stacking also.

As far as my Incarnate I am thinking muscular for more damage and the higher tiers for longer immobilize and end modification. I want to see how the build actually runs though before I make a final decision, but my build was always about damage and I think that is one of the main reasons to even pick fire is to do damage. The nice thing though is we can make more than one and change them right woot! I could make the damage one for solo and another for teams if it made drastic changes in my performance.
  20. My favorite toon of all time is my fire/rad. I have horrible altitis so I still make tons of alts ... in my defense I do get them to 50 but normally never play them again after that. Anyway my fire/rad I still play and love. He is the only toon I have put billions in and kept in.

My very first level 50 hero was illusion/rad controller, but he just collects dust now. He was a lot of fun to play, but I love soloing and he was just so slow doing ?/+8
I believe I solo'd every AV with him though and it was pretty easy, especially when I could have out multiple Phantom armies at once. Man I miss those days!

Well, I already have AM in flashfire, but I think that 6 slotting it with the chance for tohit debuff is a wasted slot for me personally. I also do not like the chance to hold proc in char with only 15% chance, but I can see how it could be nice against AV if it procs, but I would not do it personally. I do love the UC on choking cloud which I totally forgot about that set. I will definitely do that! Thanks for that!

PS: With that extra recharge from unbreakable constraint I think I will even drop maneuvers as a LotG mule and take one slotted fallout at level 49. It still leaves IW at 86 seconds instead of 85 and I will get a power I might actually use once in a while instead of a power I will never use. Even one slotted fallout is an amazing de-buff. I have vengeance on a bind where it looks for a close corpse and then goes off, so I can do that with fallout also.

Well, I just want to keep Hasten, AM, and IW as perma or close to as possible. I will remove smoke as my last power though and add maneuvers, for my last LotG. I kinda forgot about that when building this again. I would rather have assault though personally over PT since I can't really slot that attack properly. I would also like to keep stealth with my +stealth IO so I can run through certain missions TF faster. I do enough damage with just hot feet, fire cages and imps honestly.

I am just wondering if I could make a Dominator that would do more damage and be more survivable with this kind of money put in him. A Dom though does not do much AoE damage though except for PS which is awesome and perma dom gives mez prot of course. I do get AM, heals and de-buffs though which is always nice.

All set thanks to Local man! TYVM
  24. Well, honestly with plant you don't need to worry "much" about mitigation because seeds and CC take a lot of that away. I personally do not like fire because I do not like to position myself to make them work. "OK hold on one sec guys, I need to position this attack so I can kill you faster!, Stop attacking me for a sec!"/ I do like combustion a lot for certain sets and with plant it lets you get in melee with few worries. I skip combustion on some of the more range primaries.

I personally love Psi though and think the re-balance was exceptional. It might be true that fire does more damage, but honestly most stuff dies before you even get that full dot duration which always annoyed me. I think PS is the best AoE in the game still next to FS and with the added chance to stun it is even more awesome.

I do like Drain Psyche, but it was never an extreme game changer for me honestly. It did help a lot, but if you get to the point where you need it to live or die then you are most likely dead anyway. It can save you in situations where maybe you use your aoe hold and then drain them since they aren't attacking you of course and If you get to the soft cap then it can definitely be a life safer since you get hit so much less.

The only time I do not like Psi is against robots, but they still die very fast. The poster above me is correct though Psi is not what it used to be ... it is better.
