The standard chance for a Scrapper to land a critical on a player is 5%. So from this fact and personal experience, I'm going to say Brutes.
-
It might be easier if you pointed out a few more things that you would like for the build.
Since you're /Fire, it's mainly about resistance and some offense. So I'm basically referring to what set bonuses you mainly want.
A lot of /Fire Scrappers go with; +DMG, +RCHG and +DEF.
I just wanted to point this out. I realize this post won't make a major difference, but it might assist others to form the build to be in a more preferable state for you.
I could also suggest that you create your own build and post it. Then, we could all pitch in and let you know what changes we would make. If you are un-aware on how to create a build for CoX, then I reccomend you download and use Mids Hero Designer.
I hope this helps. -
We are all aware that increasing the team size will make the mission harder, and it can do this in a variety of ways. Such as: levels increase on mobs, larger mobs or even adding more lieutenants and bosses.
The question I want to ask is if I have two people on the team will it take any effect on an arch villain? I understand that it will leave them as the same lvl, but will it take any effect on the numbers? Maybe more regeneration? More damage? More resistance?
Can anyone awnser my question?
And is it different if you are playing in Mission Architect mode with arch villains? -
Does anybody know of any programs for record CoH gameplay? Also, I don't want to use Wegame or Fraps

[u]DM/Shield[u] (7 mobs in range of Soul Drain and 1 in range of Against All Odds) - 3368 damage
[u]Fire/Fire[u] (with Firey Embrace and Build Up) - 4461 damage
[u]Fire/Fire[u] (without Firey Embrace or Build Up) - 2251 damage

Woudnt claws actually deal more dps overall on an AV then? Follow up has a base recharge of 12 seconds and build up has a base recharge of 90 seconds.
These are both of the base recharges , lets see what would give more dmg/strength overall
Follow up provides = +37.50 strength for 10 secs
Build up provides = +100 strength for 10 secs
In 5 minutes follow up would have added a total of 937.5 strength
In 5 minutes build up would have added a total of 300 strength and more if the recharge wasnt so long
That calcuations is figured with base recharges though so I am not sure about with IOs. Also remember that calculation is WITHOUT double follow up and just a single follow up. Remember with double follow up you can normally just get two attacks in! And that would be every 24 seconds you would deal another two attacks with +75% strength.
In addition you noted Katana deals more dps with an Acchilles: Res Debuff IO, but did you also count in with claws that you can also slot one of them in Slash for the claws powerset? -
Would anybody like to try out my story arc? It is known as the mission cookie. It is moderately humorous with the plot being about retrieving back the stolen cookie. If you do try it out then post your opinions and rate it.
ID: 3399
In addition if anyone has observed any previous posts that seemed immature or silly then they would have been from my cousin who also uses this account. Sorry if there are any and I will change my password right after I post this!
Anyway please do try out my arc
I put a lot of effort into it
And dont forget about reading the contacts information and the information on the enemies as I had to think hard about what to put in there.
I would also suggest teaming for this arc due to a few EB's and an AV at the end. Three missions long and none of the maps are that large.Thankyou for reading -
does cloaking device really need four slots
if your going for four slots for it then I would suggest putting it one more slot on it to get a 5% rchg bonus -

Golden Girl not turning on Integration and running on to Ice Slick. Repeatedly.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry but Golden Girl running onto a Ice Slick repeatedly without activating integration is extremely funny to me lol.
i literally laughed out loud at this lol
mainly because she welcomes all of the new players and they all think she is cool but then she makes funny things like this in pvp
dont take no offense tho golden girl just that if anyone does that it is funny so im not specifically aiming at you
although the part where new players think your awesome was aimed at you... only if they knew about this rofl
i dont know you as i play on vigilance mainly and only been on defiant sometimes but rofl!
if ur gonna ask how i would know this then you always welcome new players friendly and they think your awesome from on the forums
only if they knew how much of a nooby mistake you have made that people will laugh at -
Hey!
Im sure anybody on the test server might be able to awnser this. I realize now there is going to be PvP enhancements released with i14 and you can only aqquire them by killing in the arena and PvP zones. Basically drops from other players.
What is the actual chance you recieve one of them from a player?
Is it just random? Or is there a little chance of about 5%?
Can you sell them in WW/Black Market?
If so I think a lot would be going for some good amounts of inf, but are they not going to be allowed? -
Okaii - this is a question about the AI (artificial intelligence) of enemies.
I know there is techniques to keeping enemies such as Romulus at a range instead of melee as it is for all other enemies with both melee and ranged powers. Although how do you do this excactly?
For instance if I wanted to keep an enemy such as ermmm..... Chimera or Black Scorpion at range instead of attacking me with melee powers at melee range , how would I go about doing this? -
Count me in with Jeff Vader - Claws/Regen Scrapper
Global = @JeffJeffityJeff -
If it was a lvl 8 toon then woudnt it be a lot more sensible to just create the toon again on the server you wanted to transfer it too?
I think that would be more efficient rather than paying £5.99 for a server transfer. -
Why would that include a non-profitable one though lol?
-
I found the entrance to PI I think but now it says I cannot enter!
/loc = 2162.0 4.2 -6592.7 -
I have soloed a bunch of AV's on my Claws/Regen Scrapper and I was wondering if any other scrappers have been able to solo AV's besides /SR Scrappers.
The only thing I see now soloing AV's with a Scrapper is /SR so it is nice to see other Scrapper builds soloing AV's every once in a while.
So any other Scrappers achieved this feat?
AV's I have soloed:
Chimera
Requiem
Manticore
BobCat
Positron
Captain Mako -
I agree with whoever mentioned Ice/SS being the best combination around at the moment. Although it would still require to be well IO slotted with the fact your a moderately skilled PvPer. I also agree with Gamete saying Spines would be good against a Fort since Forts will have not much lethal resistance, and not much toxic resistance, but I dont think anybody has that good toxic resistance.
Spines/Regen would be an excellent combination for a Scrapper if your going for PvP, due to Toxic damage being less resisted than most other damage types, DoT would be a good effect to make up for lack of damage and defeating the regeneration rate in PvP would be a great help. In addition it has a good mixture of melee/ranged attacks and nearly all of the attacks having -speed and -recharge debuffs which will help a whole lot.
Good Luck on whatever toon you go for Muscle!
Remember if you go for /Regen for PvP it would probably require a high expensive build and you would need to focus on mostly +Recharge and also taking in +Regen, +Recovery and +HP. You should also focus onto slight bits of +DMG bonuses. -
You can also join for any help since I am an experienced and friendly player and I am certain more experienced players will join soon-enough!
-
Olaw is a new supergroup that has been founded by me today!
I plan to form this into a large , active SG so if anyone is wanting to join then just send a reply to this post with your global or send a tell to my global. Anyone can join and at any lvl! I would also prefer for you all to stay in SG mode for the time being aswell. We plan to do a lot of TF's and raids and occasionally pvp or just ordinary teams. In addition the name is Olaw since it also mean Outlaws.
If your interested look out for my main : Golden Cut
Or my Global: @JeffJeffityJeff -
Yeah sorry Carnifax , I realize there isnt a chance it can be a easter-egg, I quickly had a good think about it and realized your correct. I just presumed it was an easter-egg since it being the first thing in my mind. And okaii thanks for the replies
I might actually have a look for the hole myself and try to find out the /loc
Anybody know where abouts the location is and be able to describe the hole at all? Seeing as Chataris wants to keep it secret. -
Carnifax , you could also take into account that the Dev's could have added it there for a easter-egg?
-
I am not sure if this is true, but apparently in Monsters Island there is a hole leading to Peregrine Island which hardly anybody can find. I probably dont believe it although it isnt as if many villains go to Monster Island. In addition it would be extremely difficult to locate the hole since there will be plenty of holes in Monster Island due to the zones condition.
This is the source I found this information from. Anf if anyone actually finds this hole (if it is actually true) then let us know. And if this hole is found then people claiming it to be a bug are false since the develepors woudnt accidentally add a hole which leads to Peregrine Island.

The blue side have twice as many TFs/SFs than the red side. You should add some more Strike Forces for the villains!
Maybe the contacts could be the four patrons since blue side TF contacts are mostly the heroes.
Anyway you should really add some more for the villains -
Masterminds can still do exceptionally well in PvP.
For your secondary you should go with debuffs - Dark Miasma as a secondary would be the best secondary for pvp for a MM. You get a variety of de-buffs , a team heal which also de-buffs when used , a powerful hold and even another pet which de-buffs! Pain Domination can also work aswell as you can get crazy healing for you and your pets.
For your primary just go with anything , personally I would go with Mercenarys or Ninjas. Any primary will do though. -
I have slightly edited the build and I think this may be slightly better.
