    Ah I see. I think I will keep this one for now - that build looks extra costly too. I have been having fun with it so far.

    Well, is the added damage from musculature noticeable when you have damage powers in the 90%+ range from enhancements? I know it ignores portions of ED limits but would it make more sense to use nerve for boosted holds? etc.

    I am really not sure which way I want to go. I know I want Reactive Interface Radial pretty bad though.

    Also, what do you guys think of ClassH's build?

    Ok I hit 50 and the only recipe I am missing is the Miracle unique, and I just put an entire set into imps instead of using the odd purple in ClassH's build.

    I can now claim to have a permadom, building it exactly like this. Thank you ClassH.

    I am curious, what alpha do you recommend with that build? I eat blue but it's not bad with dom always going off and consume 6 slotted. I think Cardiac could help a bunch but Nerve of course would help with holds. Musculature is out of the question - fire/fire/fire is a damage god as it is.

    Ok I made ClassH's exact build last night up to level 49. Now I get it.

    Questions: when is it best to use hasten? I see that I have to really watch my domination power and hit it right away to get the perma effect. I had Hasten on auto but it isn't perfect.

    Even though it is a 'cheap' perma-hasten build, it still shocked me how many hundreds of millions it cost.

    EDIT: uh, that is ALOT of purple sets, holy crap - in fact I doubt he could get a build with more purples in it. I am not building that. He even has PVP purples. uhhhh no.

    The build above - I have never had a permadom character before but I am planning a fire/fire/fire. That build looks so squishy but is permadom just that awesome? I feel like a noob asking.

  11. A long time friend of mine has returned to the game after a few years and has played with Mids - he is hoping for feedback and I am not an expert on doms or dom builds.

    Is it possible some of our resident experts to take a peek at what he has been playing with and if you have better builds to also post those?

    Here is what he has given me:

    I am not a fan of single target immobilize powers but he wanted it for bosses. Again, I am no expert at all and I would truly appreciate some feedback. Ask any questions you wish - I will direct him to the thread.

  13. Got an update from Synapse:

    "Hey guys,

    I did want to pop in and let you know that the endurance cost you're seeing now is a bug. It should in fact be .52 endurance per second. As you've suggested, what you're seeing is DOUBLE what you'd expect for the Controller and slightly more than double on the Corruptor. This will be fixed in a future build. Thanks for your patience. Additionally, I will also be upping Venomous Gas' To Hit debuff from scale .5 to 1.

    Yeah, pretty much, except for the immobilize part, simply because even if I couldn't squeeze it in, I don't play this game to just solo 100% of the time.

  17. I was using it all the time with my AR/Kin. Fulcrum Shift after Web Envelope, Ignite, then all the cones under the buff.

    I don't pick powers based on solo ability though; I am not crazy enough to think I will never play with a teammate that can hold or immobilize.

    I was playing him before the rebalance so it was stacking with itself constantly.

    Gee whiz, a perma nuke-level damage power isn't worth it to you, eh?

    Ignite is such a great power but yes you need to immobilize foes. No, AVs will probably still run. It has like a mag 50 fear in it if I remember, but it does insane damage for the cost. Without buffs, I think it cranks over 500 damage by itself every time you use it, and you can keep firing other attacks while it is doing that 500+ damage.

    3 rech, 3 dam, and you are set. Grab Web Envelope from Black Scorpion.

    Just to let you know, the ENTIRE SET was rebalanced around Ignite a couple of years ago. Look it up.
  19. I got the official answer from Synapse regarding Venomous Gas on corruptors:

    "Hi Jayboh,

    I'm pretty happy with the Poison Tier 9 power as is. It generates no more or less threat than any other debuff toggle. It's a pretty comprehensive debuff, so it needs to be risky to use. Making it ally targeted would really defeat one of my goals of this revamp, and that's to make the set more solo friendly. Right now 3 of the powers require allies. That's a bit much. As for renaming powers, we're in a localization lock at the moment. Any name changes or text adjustments will occur after launch of I21.

    Yeah, it really is. It's completely broken and will never work. When you run in, it sounds like something is getting hit with quills from the spines set too, which is weird but I can shrug it off.

    I was messing with it in Atlas as a Beam Rifle/Poison corruptor at level 50 here.

  21. I have been using the official feedback thread in the beta forums and have not been checking this thread.

    My thoughts:

    First, I am testing with a corruptor.

    Venomous Gas DOES NOT WORK in its current form for corruptors. You basically have to run in, grab all the aggro, get stunned/held and get detoggled instantly.

    Poison Trap shouldn't have any interruptability IMO.

    I think I am fine with the AOE sizes, but I think that debuffing half strength to surrounding targets isn't necessary HOWEVER I think the reason he did that is because the debuffs come up SOO fast - it's easy to just keep layering it on diff targets.

    The heal is fine - wish it had an 8 ft radius also of course but I can live with it.

    Venomous Gas is simply not going to work. I was grabbing aggro away from brutes that just got me killed while running it. It really should require tech to use the same method as sonic resonance's distortion field and be an ally toggle.

    I could live with the rest of the set as it is if they fix Venomous Gas even though I want other things for the set.
  22. I'm the opposite, I think controllers are my most hated AT, even though I put defenders at the top. Funny thing is, my main is a scrapper.

    Electron Haze and Psychic Scream are nearly identical in cast time.

  25. Eh, teleport initially was a shiny I couldn't look away from and then later I just found it to be a pain and ended up grabbing fire flight instead.
