Ok thanks, VIPs never have to check it then.
-
Do I have to keep making sure it is checked every time I log in?
-
What happens on the technical side if you taunt a confused enemy?
-
-
Oh yeah, I just tried to log in. Hmm... Ok so from 5 AM to 2 PM my time.
-
Yeah, those of you in this thread and the other that was linked, I have tested Beam/Poison, and it hits REALLY FREAKING HARD. Granted, that's with Venomous Gas turned on and using Envenom + Assault, and the damage is crazy with disintegration.
Venomous Gas however accepts a couple of set types or enhancement types that grant you nothing - namely -tohit and -defense. -
I don't know, it feels like it hits pretty hard under disintegrate.
-
What are you going to go with and maybe a blurb or two about why?
-
Quote:You can just leave it run and it should be downloaded by the time you get home.Ditto. I'll get home by 4 tomorrow, so I'll start the patch, go take care of a chore or two, and then go! I eagerly await my chance to grab the Rocket Board!
Oh wait, I'm on a Mac...
Thankfully there is plenty of non-store based content to keep me busy in the meantime. -
Holy crap that is a long maintenance. That's 6AM to 3 PM my time.
!?
...at least the NCSoft Launcher patches quickly. -
I hate snipes.
The snipe in this set has the best sound effect outside of radiation blast. I LOVE hearing that thing.
I am thinking that going 2 acc/2 dam/2 recharge in Disintegration might be the way to go until you get hasten fully slotted or spiritual/ageless. It's basically like having build up and aim in the same set. Linky.
...but yes, this might be the best single target set to take in the game now - time to say goodbye to ice blast unless you want utility. It should be the one to go to when you don't want sonic blast for a defender. I tested a BR/Poison corruptor and have some videos on YT using SOs. -
Quote:Jerks?Well, your attitude certainly isn't helping.
Right here you've admitted to confirmation bias, and you started this thread with a question that had a "don't give me the right answer" clause.
If you're getting a lot of snark from all over the boards, I'd suggest looking at the common denominator.
I don't get snark, I see it everywhere else. -
Yes, I admit, I read into it as there is typically so much snark on some of the forums I just expected it. The hints were there, and figured it was intentional.

Well, I still don't regret respeccing out of tentacles. I guess I can live with it.
-
Trigger happy. I called it.
People say lolmacs when it comes to gaming due to their history. Patience is required when it comes to change. It's not exactly like Apple is helping matters, as they sure don't advertise their machines as a possible gaming platform.
At least Valve has seen the light. -
Quote:Insults aside, what is it that makes mobs stay in brute burn patches?I linked there in the second post in this thread -- and the OP either cannot parse CoD (somewhat common, the first time I saw CoD it made my eyes cross), or simply cannot read (less likely, considering he's posting on a text-based forum [ignoring blindness accessibility for a crass joke]).
My first link goes to Scrapper Burn - nowhere in it does it say fear or avoid.
My second link goes to Pets_Burn, which is the pseudo pet that Scrapper Burn summons, in addition to Tanker, Brute, and Blaster Burn...in addition to a couple other sources. So there is literally no way for the pseudo pet that Scrapper Burn summons to be different from the pseudo pets that Tanker or Brute Burn summon. They are the same thing. -
Quote:Thanks for the advice, this is exactly what I did. Works great. I also put a whole tray just above my head with only Hasten in it, just so I can see it better.Try putting Domination on auto instead. I used to have Hasten on auto and either fired Domination manually, or I tried having various binds fire it, such as when I hit a movement key. I dropped Dom fairly regularly.
Ever since I put Domination on auto and started firing Hasten manually, I hardly ever drop Dom. Even if I don't notice Hasten is recharged right away I'm generally still okay.
I should note that I have Hasten perma or near to it on my builds. If you're at the minimum global +recharge for perma-Dom that might change things somewhat. I'd still say give it a try though. -
Quote:You haven't seen mine.Burn doesn't have any hard coded fear effects, but mobs naturally try to avoid damage patches and run if they are taking damage too quickly, so without an inherent taunt mobs may try to escape burn.
Personally with it's low values and lack of taunt I think FA is fairly poor for scrappers.
Granted, he might be the exception, but he is purpled out with all the incarnate powers maxed ~ I even have two tier 4 Lores and working on a second Destiny.
I was doing so much ridiculous damage during MoBAF runs a few months back that I was intentionally put on the adds team. No matter what team I was on, we would shoot past the other within seconds. I was ordered to switch, and everyone else stay where they were, and the other team would drastically fire past the other yet again - so for several days in a row, I ran with the same MoBAF teams and was placed on adds simply because I really truly pump out crazy damage. Barrier fixed most of my squishiness. -
Quote:It has avoid, they removed fear. The most recent and most obvious instance I noticed this with is with these infamous fire farms in the AE. When I watch brutes do it, the mobs just sit there taking it. If I do the same with my fire/fire scrapper, they scatter after the first burst of damage.Scrapper Burn doesn't have the avoid/fear in it.
Fiery Aura's Burn for Scrappers:
http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/power...iery_Aura.Burn
summons the same pet that Tanker_Defense and Brute_Defense.Fiery_Aura and Blaster_Support.Fire_Manipulation summons:
http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/power...p?id=Pets_Burn -
Why do mobs still have 'avoid' code from scrapper Burn when mobs stay in Burn patches for tankers and brutes?
Don't tell me it's due to the taunt, because it doesn't have -range like the actual Taunt powers do.
I don't get it. It is really irritating. -
Quote:Yeah this build has near permahasten too.Try putting Domination on auto instead. I used to have Hasten on auto and either fired Domination manually, or I tried having various binds fire it, such as when I hit a movement key. I dropped Dom fairly regularly.

Quote:Wow, so trigger-happy-defensive. Good lord. Maybe with Steve Jobs out of the picture now, the fanboys can cool their heads. So you don't consider the Mac client crashing upon trying to access the market a showstopper?
I oughta slap you with a frying pan.
Every time the mac community takes one step closer to having their issues fixed a comment like this sends them two steps back. If the tables were turned and the Windows client couldn't access the features in Beta without crashing to the desktop I would absolutely HATE to be a moderator here; all my time would be cleaning up whining, moaning and screaming about how the devs are useless and they don't care.
We've been at this for TWO DAMN YEARS trying to get our "supported" mac client fixed, so you can take your jokes and your "I think I'm funny when I make fun of macs" and SHOVE IT.
