I don't get it, the admin channel gave us all 10 minutes to quit for maintenance, stating that it is on the forum announcements. I don't see anything outside of the announcement for tomorrow morning's maintenance.
Anyone have any idea what's going on? -

(for those just tuning in, you used to be able to slot for higher damage, and there used to be no AOE cap on how many critters you could taunt OR how many critters you could hit with an AOE. I've personally seen over 300 badguys get roasted by one Inferno. )
Also, this is just from Ignite, which would come up every 3 seconds without any enhancements. Since it takes 10 seconds to dish it out, this means that without recharge, you could stack ignite and this isn't even counting scourge. Aim is also available for corruptors too, plus I had Assault running. It was because of this ability that the entire set was changed less than a year ago. -
If it was still about half a year ago, I would say corruptors have more potential for damage, simply because of my AR/Kin, who would web envelope the whole mob, fulcrum shift, then hit the enemies with over 500 damage every 3 seconds from Ignite.
Those were the days (yeah, it would take 10 sec, but mmm so good.) -
/Traps /Trick Arrow /Kinetic are sets that I find easiest to squeeze fully slotted Assault and Tactics in.

Eh, I took an AR/Kin to 50; you get used to the redraw. That's what the masterminds and brutes are for anyways; to keep the enemies off of you.
I guess someone with shield abilities can attack for 4 minutes before having to refresh them, if you want to go that route, or you can go for theme with traps, etc. -
Right, which is why this is different. GR is weeks away. Not complaining, just saying I don't remember them ever doing something like this, since launch day of CoH.

The Aim/Buildup thing is probably the biggest drawback - and it is a huge drawback when playing the role of blaster.

That's easily debatable - I could see uses into the higher levels easily.

Hmm... I will, but I don't understand why it wouldn't work. Carnies phase shift, we can phase shift, and our phase shifts are toggles. Is it a pet? Someone help me understand this - I want the powers to be desirable, as most seem to hate these powers with a passion. -

What is the consensus on DP? Is it just the cone that is near-worthless or is bullet rain also garbage? I am assuming Castle and gang's thinking is that Hail of Bullets makes up for it...

I think I might even go for two assault toggles - bringing 30% extra damage around for entire teams is nothing to sneeze at and worth the slots for my style of play. I got one to 17 so far and the only bad first impression is that the powers take a good while to charge and the end cost is kinda bugging me but it always does before stamina.

No that was because Ice Armor slows fury generation, although I think they could look at it again because some people might not care about that now that Brawl has no endurance cost.

I am surprised only one mentioned sonic. Put them all to sleep with sonic blast and lay your mines/poison and then the mortar when you are ready, etc.
