  1. Leaving aside the siphon speed conversation...

My only question is - how the heck did you 6 slot PBU, TI, TF *and* 4-slot Conserve Power?

The best I've been able to do is 6 Conserve Power at 41 (no stam in my build), 6 slot TI at 44, and with Total Focus at 47 and PBU at 50... (maybe PBU and CP flipped, I'll see).

... 3 slots at 48 (Total Focus, obviously), 3 slots at 50... enough to 4-slot both, or 6-slot one and 2-slot the other.

    ???
  2. Third row of inspirations at 25, fourth row at 40. You get 20 slots max.

I've done this since my now-50 kinetic was 22, off and on. IP was great for this, as near the tram there are several contacts, and a brief hop away are lots of 5th, Family, and Tsoo in appropriate level range.

It's repetitive and definitely gets old, but I think I went from 23 to 24 in two hours doing that.

I was also doing that some in PI in the 40s when I was on at odd times or SG mates weren't on ... Blackstar + Fulcrum Shift = even to +2s nuked, no problem. It wasn't worth wasting on even cons, though, yellows, only just... oranges usually great.

But to reliably nuke +3s, with 3 damage SOs and a reliable +100% damage from Fulcrum Shift (even with an acc AND slotted Tactics, FS has an acc penalty - and it would miss up to 5 of 10-12 nems.)...

... 4 enrageds. Good old, basic enrageds would push my nuke to the damage cap reliably... which would usually kill or leave +3s with a sliver, easily dispatched with Dark Blast.

This works for possessed scientists also. I'd probably chew down 4 disciplines to fight a group of these guys... bloodly lack of status protection...
  3. Ah, yes, another thread on respec.

My record with a kin/dark: 2 (hard version) failures on test; 2 (hard version) failures on live right after update 2. Test were raiders, live were freaks.

One one failure, the reactor blew before we even made it in to the room. LAME.

One failure after it was made easier: not enough awakens for the final wave. Oops.

One failure after it was made easier: several members dropped out.

Success after it was made easier: good coordinated team, everyone else from an SG that had teamspeak.

Success again the next day for my own SG: huh... I had already respec'd for defense... I don't KNOW that that ensured the 2nd success ... but I didn't die once on it after I respec'd... and only a handful of deaths in any case.

So personal record on my kinetic 6 failures, 2 successes.

My fire tank: right the first time on the skyraiders. I may need to respec my kinetic, but wouldn't say that I'd be a driving force to getting it done - bubblers, provoke tanks help with that much more than my kinetic.

My fire tank eats freaks and skyraiders (if exemp'd) for breakfast. I wouldn't guarantee that I can keep everyone alive ... but I would guarantee that everyone would get their respec.

It's about teammates, knowing what to do, and preparation.

Whether it's hard or not depends on your build IMO.

A pure empath defender... not going to be able to guarantee success.

A good provoke tank with defenses and some offense, facing enemies that generally can't kill them even en masse and +3/4... much easier.

A bubbler to protect the core - much easier.

It's a harder, and more annoying TF than most. I won't say it's impossible, but you need to know what you are doing, and make sure the team works together.

Hardest? Certainly the hardest TF/trial you'll come across in the pre-level 32 game IMO... unless you've got a good team.

In which case, it should be pretty straightforward IF people can work together.
  4. Heh.

This was a few levels ago - and as a kinetic, I try to keep everyone boosted as much as I can.

So we're doing this freak TF (Clamor I think), and I'm the only defender - but we've been able to do a good job, and I've died maybe 3 times, but almost no one else has.

I have one guy who keeps yelling "speed plz" whenever he runs out... never mind that a lot of the time, I'm healing or waiting for someone to need healing (this is before Transference, so my endurance is at a premium).

So I get killed, and we have no one who can rez - so I go to the hospital. Mission is in Steel Canyon.

I'm flying back from the hospital, and the guy yells out "speed plz".

This pissed me off, because he wasn't paying attention to the fact that I *wasn't in the mission*.

It's one of the reasons why "speed plz" macros will piss me off more than just about anything as a kinetic.
