Anyone who kicks my Warshade from a team apparently has something against invincible death dealing aliens who out blasts a blaster and can tank when the going gets rough.
But hey, it takes all types. -
The ability to adapt your power set to the current situation on hand is the reason for the lower numbers.

Quote:I've gotta admit I absolutely hated the obligatory Clark/Lana moment at the end of each episode...but I don't blame the actress for that. She's a cute looking gal.
Ah, the Kristin Kreuk Syndrom, or "KKS". The tragic belief that because someone doesn't personally like something, it is harmful for the Intellectual Property at large. So named because many bloggers that did not like Kristin Kreuk's role on Smallville claimed she was damaging to the show, oblivious to the fact that she was one of the leading stars of a wildly successful series. -

Server merge...naah...
Now moving to a serverless environment I could get behind*
*if character names were preserved, which seemed to be something they hinted at would be possible at Herocon. -
Personally I like Recluse and his evil-evilness. He reminds me of Dr.Doom. Not every villain can be a morally ambigious "I don't know what is going on" puzzle.
Somedays, I just like my mustache twirling. -
And with one stroke Warwitch becomes the most beloved Dev ever.
*kicks BaB and Castle to the curb*
Sorry guys I have a new love now... -

I think a psychic with the powers of...psychic stuff but the awesomeness of Batman would cause all the villains to give up in disgust...

Hey she's Canadian. Obviously this game just got that much better. [Fellow Canuck here]
My question...
Do the other devs ever make fun of you for being Canadian or are they too afraid of your mighty Canadian archtype powers [Like the ability to cut down a tree with one chop of an ax while eating a donut]? -
Congradualtions to War Witch.
Here's looking forward to the War Witch TF we will now surely see in the next year.
Everyone be nice on the forums for a little bit so WW has a bit of time to get used to things before we destroy her spirit. -
Oh I really do like the idea of Frostfire as a redeemed hero.
Though I suppose this means his daughter Coldsnap will have to entertain lowbie heroes in the Hollows in the future..... -
In all fairness, the announcements usually come in about 5 hours from now. Give or take.

The Year 2020 would probably make more sense.
I was also thinking of....
Tin Mage v2.0 [Thermal/Energy Defender]
Just before being destroyed in the Praetoria War Citadel came together with the Hero Numina to create his last and greatest creation, the recreation of the Tin Mage; blending the Science and Magic origins together. While the experiment was a limited success, no matter how they tried the magic of Tin Mage could not be reproduced. After Citadel was destroyed Positron was able to perserve his programming and transfer it into the Tin Mage body; where to the surprise of all the magic of Tin Mage was activated. The only missing ingredient was the most important; a soul, earned by Citadels years of selfless service and dedication to Paragon City.
I was also wondering who would be best to replace Statesman as the Leader of the Phalanx. I believe Miss Liberty would be the most obvious. Any thoughts? -

Recently I was thinking, What will the next generation of CoH heroes be like? Just for fun I put together a few character bio's...
The Clockwork Queen [Mastermind Clockwork/Empathy]
After the Clockwork King died in the Malta Gambit, his fast array of Clockwork minions lay inert, until Penelope Yin took control of the vast psychic network. Now as a member of the Freedom Phalanx she serves as the worlds primary disaster aid resource, her clockwork repairing and rescuing where they once only worked to propagate their own numbers. Most countries in the world have their own regiment of clockwork troops ready to roll out at a moments notice.
Faultline [Earth/Stone Controller]
After the conclusion of the 2nd Rikti War Faultline and his wife Fusionette were hailed as heroes, not only having prevented another invasion, but finally ensuring peace between the Rikti and humans by decisively defeating Lord Nemesis during the Nemesis Ultimatium. The couple divide their time between protecting Paragon City and raising their children.
Fusionette [Energy/Energy Blaster]
While Fusionette may have been named "Most Kidnappable Super Heroine" in the Rogue Islanads Villain Weekly Magazin [3 years running] the young heroine surprised everyone when her passionate appeal to the Rikti overmind convinced not only the aliens to call off their attack but to lend their power to the young heroine, giving her the ability to defeat Lord Nemesis once and for all. Since that final epic act, Fusionette has avoided the spotlight, prefering to take her kids to soccer practice than to destroy giant robots, but her experience and kindness (Not to mention her power once roused) makes her a key member of the Freedom Phalanx.
Honouree [Invulnerability/Super Strength Tanker]
After the Rikti War ended the the Rikti became one of Earths closest allies, Hero 1 was returned to earth, but due to his quasi-magical nature the Lost Cure had no effect. Passing the mantle of Hero 1 onto another worthy soul, the Honouree serves both as the primary Rikti Ambassador to Earth and one of it's greatest heroes.
Scirocco [Electricity/Storm Corruptor]
After years of serving Archanos and Lord Recluse, the man named Scirocco eventually began to tire of the pointless brutality and violence and injustice caused by his Masters and made his escape to Paragon City. It took many years for the much hated man to gain the trust of the Heroes, but after sealing the magical rift under the Hollows they welcomed him with open arms. -
As much as I prefere to negative rep EvilRyu he does have a point in that last post.
I really do enjoy seeing characters and enemies I faced earlier in the game show up again. It gives my game world a feeling of consistency.
City of Villains does this at a few points [You turn the hero Pryss into a Villain early on, then meet her again after she's been taken over by the Devouring Earth. Same with meeting Faultline, Fusionette and Penelope Yin in Faultline, then running into them again in the Rikti War Zone.]
So it seems as the devs are moving forward, they are creating that kind of storyline in that manner. We can hope that Maelstorm and Desdemona show up alot to the point where you get to know them. -
Powersets I would like to see :
Insect Blast [Toxic Damage blast set!]
Insect Control [You coud have a Giant Bee as the Tier 9 pet!]
Earth Blast [You'd spend alot of time as a Blaster throwing rocks at people and having things explode at them from the ground...Would be an easy secondary for blasters to make along it though...]
Insect Swarm [This would be a debuff set, though the easiest thing to do is just have an power customization of Radiation Emission]
Mostly, I just like the idea of ATTACKING PEOPLE WITH BEE'S! -
I guess by VERY soon BaB meant next week
-
W-O-W
Played through this today and it was just fantastic. What an awesome and involving story. Great work. -
Naah the real answer here is they are moving us onto a quasi-serverless enviroment like WoW has tacked onto their game and CO has.
It'll be awesome, enjoy. -
It's s'kay dude, no one is perfect all the time. Next time you feel snarky though, head to the PvP forum, it's the normal tone over there.

My conspiracy theory on why they are allowing the free server transfers is they are going to be following the path of WoW and that "Other Superhero MMO" by implementing a system where you can have "Cross server" play. This was used to stress test the servers to see if they could shake any bugs loose in the process.
Cross server play would be great, no more worrying about being on a low population server. They even heavily implied at Hero Con that they had a system to allow multiple characters of the same name on servers [This idea was admittedly boo'ed down at Hero Con, but those people are probably all 72 month vets, have all their names already secured and are heavily biased, I think having whatever name you want available would be great for new players] -
Quote:I actually tested this before the break. Using similar NPC models with different number of cape FX systems. Here are the results:
- 100 NPCs - 0 capes = 48% loss in frame rate
- 100 NPCs - 1 cape = 75% loss in frame rate
- 100 NPCs - 3 capes = 92% loss in frame rate
Is this why the Imperius Taskforce lags up so much in the 3rd mission while charging up the hill? Because all the NPC's have capes?
