Captured the playfulness of the original while possibly telling us something about the artists relationship with this game?

Nice
2. I'd love to be able to rate missions other than those in the MA. I wouldn't bother rating everything, especially when on a large team zerging from one thing to the next but I would try and give constructive critisim on TFs and such.

I wouldn't care if the results were visibile or not but it might be useful to the Devs.

Still, looks like a hilarious beer movie

I don't know if I am ready for more base love, after the "love" we have gotten in the past

[/ QUOTE ]

Didn't you know? They're going to introduce a new form of salvage used only for crafting base items. They're going to do it as another time sink for people to invest in to create their base items.

They'll call it something innovative... like.... "Base Salvage"

[/ QUOTE ]

They are also going to add a special reward that you can get from doing SG Mission Computer Missions called "Group Tickets".

SGs can then cash in 150 Group Tickets for a Tech Material.

Its true!

Oh I would so love an Oranbega expansion. THAT I think would be way more fun for me, than moon or sea stuff. I love oranbega.

An expansion based on blue caves?

The question I have for those who do not want any open world content is why have such big zones then? If everything is instanced (which it almost is), then make one zone a line up of contacts, a line up of doors, one WW/black market, one trainer, one base portal, one arena, one of each kind of store.....now that I think about it, just make IP the only zone in the game and put each monster in each corner of the map. Just seems like a huge waste to me to have a huge zone when no one does anything in it besides travel through it.

[/ QUOTE ]

A big zone IS open world content.

I am more than happy for CoX to have more open world content, just not on my mission list, and certain NOT like Champions Online.
7. I like CoXs open world stuff, I like it mainly (I think) because its rare and entirely optional. I much prefer instanced missions thankyoueverymuch

I have experienced other games *cough* that use 99% open world stuff. I have suffered from the lack of specific spawns. While I didn't have to endure KSing I did experience the unusal situation of having missions like "Escort x number of y" practically completed for my just by standing in the vacinity of where the mission takes place.

I built that character to level fast. (It was, like, issue 4 or 5 and my first 50 took me 563 hours. That is not a typo, that's how long it used to take people to get to 50. Fast people could do it in, like, 300.

[/ QUOTE ]

Aha! The other thread is locked, but I got some flak for posting this, so I am just noting for the record that at least one person agrees with my claim. Carry on.

[/ QUOTE ]

Mine was in the 600s. I did level slowly so that I could try and do all the available content though. Things are different now we have Orororro(sp?)
9. Made very similar suggestions myself regarding extra tier 4 options.

What do you all think?

As long as you CANNOT mass transfer to Freedom that would be fine with me.

Bit annoyed that they still allow transfers to Freedon to be honest

Kind of like how saying Bloody in the U.K. is like dropping an F-bomb here.

Lolz. Who told you that? This Englishman occasionally uses bloody in polite company.

13. I have often thought it would be good if the UI was separated from the zone screen so that you could chat without your character being logged in.

You often get the "ding" of team mate chat while you zone which kind of suggests that chat interface is running independantly.

I still think I succeeded in following the "guidelines".

[/ QUOTE ]

Sorry. didn't mean to imply you weren't.

What I find funny about the one word response ban is that they don't consider one word agreement as unconstructive.

/signed isn't contributing anything to a suggestion either. Gotta love hypocrisy. But then again, it is their forum so they do get to make the rules.

[/ QUOTE ]

When they first made that change to the rules I PMed Lighthouse or someone to argue that saying "No" or /unsigned was a valid response (I put a little more effort into the argument than that though ) and the reply I got was that it was okay. I was left a little confused

I think they are okay with "honest" no-votes but want to catch people that were just trolling the suggestions forum. *shrug*

Someone needs to make one of those cut-n-paste replies to this "mail items to myself" redundancy.

Completely OT, but I saved this from like... ever ago. I cannot remember who came up with it after /JRanger was banned.

What might encourage people to use the market is getting a special drop on one character transfering it to another and then needing to buy the rest of the set.

[/ QUOTE ]but you could do EXACTLY the same thing by selling that drop on the market and then buying a piece of a set you want.

[/ QUOTE ]
No. The point of the example was that people get some "goodie" and decide to use it. That spurs them into using the market to get the rest of the set. Without the initial good luck they wouldn't bother.

Possible impact on the market is grossly exaggerated for the following reasons:

1) I can transfer stuff to alts it just takes time.

[/ QUOTE ] That you can do a thing does not mean that everyone does a thing.

[/ QUOTE ]

No. But it DOES prove that everyone CAN do it. Which was the point I was making.

[/ QUOTE ]

??? Huh? You were argueing that the impact on the market is being "grossly exaggerated" and your point was
"1) I can transfer stuff to alts it just takes time."

Since I believe that there are a significant portion of people who do NOT inherit BECAUSE it takes time, I disagree with your point.

[/ QUOTE ]

Since I also believe that there are a significant portion of people who do not transfer because it takes time, you will not be surprised to hear that I think that makes absolutely no difference to my point.

Making behaviour X annoying or hard so that people will refrain from behaviour X and start doing behaviour Y doesn't work. At least hasn't yet. Certainly won't encourage people to use the market.

What might encourage people to use the market is getting a special drop on one character transfering it to another and then needing to buy the rest of the set.

19. Related to this suggestion I would like to see the insp base items redone.

It seems kind of pointless to have to go to all that trouble to get three different base items to create all the insps now that you can get any type you want so easily.

Therefore I would like to see the base items create different tiers rather than different types. Cost it as appropriate.
20. [ QUOTE ]
I would like to see the ability to do something like /camp <char name> and be logged directly into that character. With the way the system is set up it would probably have to be only to characters on the same server but that would probably cover must of the switching that most of us do. EQ2 has this and I find it incredibly handy.

21. Didn't we get a Dev response on this subject before?

Wasn't the problem less to do with offending people and more that they didn't want to go to the hassel of putting every single countries flag in the game?
