I am a long way off any Lore pets with my characters however it will be all concept for me. Trying to work out what works best, but "calling in a solid you owe me" seems like the way to go, so if I could turn off the ghostly aura that would get a thumbs up from me.
  2. Its not an unreasonable request but I seem to remember a Dev explaining why it was difficult or impossible.

If there was an enhancement that turned knockback into knockdown, I might take Hand Clap.

ps: I don't think knockback vs knockdown is used as a balancing mechanism, since its only really a disadvantage to soloing melees, or melees teaming with argumentative AoE based blasters

Really? That's today's "new thing" learnt!

  4. To be honest I was surprised when Server transfers were introduced and you were allowed to transfer to Freedom! If anything there should be an incentive to spread the load imo

I believe you are reading the wrong emotion into such posts. If someone comes to these boards and is passionate about the game but dislikes a particular aspect or change, that does not mean they are bitter, unhappy or angst-ridden.

It means no more than they are doing the sensible and healthy thing in letting off steam, in the channel provided for them by the Developers, to do just that. Its all feedback you know.

Now pray the devs never change that one thing that you love best!
  6. Wow! How long do they last again?

ps: Like the way your character has "Help me!" above his head. I don't think you really need that
  7. I wouldn't call it farming as such but I often take Oro missions at specific levels to help provide goodies for my alts. This has the advantage that there is often a merit reward at the end as well.

I kind of assumed that going in. After all, we are expected to get fed up with both sides and leave for Paragon of Mercy Isle. I just expected to be able to use the new technology to "do the right thing."

This has been my experience with all trials & TFs to be honest. Anyone want to do the Cathedral of Pain?

Had my first "real" disappoint* with the game last night, in that I did a Resistance mission and ended up feeding innocents to a bunch of ghouls. I checked in the "Going Rogue" forum just to make sure I hadn't missed something but this story arc does not give you a choice beyond accept the mission or not.

Surely this story demands a morality choice? There is no way my character would have stood by and let these guys be murdered. It seems like a missed opportunity, if the only option and been to become a Loyalist I would have taken it. This could have been part of the story that shows that maybe both sides are as bad as each other? Anyway this is exactly the kind of mission outcome I thought the "decision-tech" was suppose to remove.

    * Okay, I am also disappointed there's been no base loving in over two years but I wasn't really expecting any
  15. Well War Witch made this statement but it didn't cover teleport beacons so I wondered if anything had been said down here. I guess not.
  16. I see that Galaxy City is going to be closed and turned into a expanded tutorial zone. Does anyone know what is going to happen to the teleport beacon?
  17. 1. Would you buy Base Expansion Packs?

    Depends what's in it.

I've just returned to the game after a break of two years, tempted back by missions with decision choices, its great to see the new content but very sad to see absolutely zero base love in that time.

So really there should not be a Base Expansion Pack, there should be a proper base update first. Then you could have an expansion pack with loads of decorative items, but not before (imo).

Can I ask what is going to happen to my SG transport beacon?

    Hello!
This. The game was designed for teams, they should have stuck to team games imo. Whoever suggested letting the players create PvP games in the architect had the right idea.

The game was/is my first MMO. Before that I was a big FPS player, I should have been an easy customer for the PvP game. Let me battle another team in Save-the-Citizen!

    Freeing Up Names

No doubt they are hoping that F2P will bring back a host of currently inactive players. So "genericising" a load of their characters would probably be counter productive.

I think this is the issue here. I think many people saying "No" to solo Incarnate content know that if you make a solo path there are going to be a lot less people doing the trials. Simple as that.

I think there is also the issue that it is much harder to make "hard" solo content. The reason being that there is less variance in what a typical team can do than what a typical character can do. If they build solo Incarnate content there are individuals that will power through it in no time at all, (probably by repeating the easiest bits ad nauseum) and then go , "whats next?"

That's not an argument for why it shouldn't be done, just for why its harder to do.

When I re-sub'd I was surprised that this had not been done BUT emailing enhancements had. I'd have lost the bet on that one
  25. Wow. Took me a while. They've really hidden this away, under "Help"? Really?

Anyway I've been away since the 5th Anniversary. Anything new? I am guessing, "No"
