His character has been great and really adds to the show. I also rate Arthur as a great actor. Enjoying his work.

  4. If the Twinshot arc is now considered part of the tutorial then I think you need to be offered it far sooner. Is there anything it covers that you haven't already done by then? Plus the contact is optional so new players are more likely to miss it than old hands who are looking for new content.

The other new low level hero mission is quite good, if we could have just added that to the existing missions I would have been very happy. Dumping them all for that and Twinshot is a bit crappy imo

I want my old contacts and missions back where I at least had the illusion of variety.
Pretty much my thoughts in a nutshell.
  6. The Detective inside the Kingsrow Jail reminds me on Tennant.

    Just thought I'd mention that
  7. I was doing a Mayhem mission with some friends yesterday and the map was out of sync with our position. So it would show us out of bounds and you could not see all of the map when you zoomed all the way out.

Not sure if its related or not but we also didn't get a clear indication where the side missions entrance was located. The yellow start simply did not appear on the navigator or the map.

Including myself there were three players in the mission and all had the same problem.

A bit late to the thread but ...

I consider myself a "casual gamer" in that I am not bothered about having the best stuff and won't do anything I consider "Not Fun". Obviously eveyone's Not-Fun-List (NFL) is different but my NFL includes playing the market and any kind of farm. To prove my credentials as a Non-L33t player my favourite characters still all have legacy Fitness despite sitting on a stack of /respecs

However since returning to the game after a two year absence I have found a number of things have changed that make it easy for me to acquire stuff that previously would have meant entering the NFL teritory. Now I should say at this point that I enjoy the tip mission system and the incarnate trials. Not everyone does and depending upon how you use them they are very close to farming. Very close indeed. However I don't use them constantly. I use tips like I use radio missions and I only do Incarnate trials when the mood takes me. Tip missions and hero merits bring in enough influence that buying whatever you want from the market is easy. And Incarnate trials (well the BAF anyway) are a quick half hour of fun button mashing.

Reading these forums you could be forgiven for believing you need to grind hundreds of BAFs to complete the Incarnate abilities, well its not true. Maybe if you want everything at T4 level and loads of "different" Lore pets but thats not for me. It doesn't take long to open up all the slots (typically 3 trails each) and I usually had something to slot already created when I did. It doesn't take much to get to the level shifts and perfectly possible within what I would call "casual play"

    There, thats my take
  9. Actually mine was more like, "Is that the time? Bed!"
  10. You are told up front you need to make them think you are not worth their attention. If you don't want to do that you can abandon the mission/arc. No problem. Again, you are the one doing the deception here. Unlike the other times this has occurred, when its supposed to be genuine.
  11. I've played it with two characters so far and didn't have any issues with my choices, or the dialogue, unlike the blue side. Since we trick our way to a win I most certainly didn't leave feeling like a half wit. Graves does not like you and the dialogue reflects that but unlike the blue side nothing that happens actually makes you "smell of fear" or do anything stupid. Plus if you read the dna machine dialogue you will see that you realise its all a trick and jump out of the way.

So I am happy with the mission other than not getting the opportunity to fight the final character.

Instead, my character was forced to sit like a goon and wonder aloud about the obvious lies the machine was saying. And you know what the kicker is? The machine blew up on its own afterwards anyway. So why couldn't I break it, instead?
The machine doesn't draw a dna sample, its all one big wind up to see how gullible you are. It blows up to try and kill/injure you. Your survival is the first test.

Personally I found the dialogue choice far more preferable to the Blue side. The only thing that in any way spoils the little arc for me is when *spoilers* turns up at the end. If the complaint was "why can't I rip him to bits?" then I would be with you
  13. Blue side I've been having the reverse problem, with Skulls materialising on top of me.

Red side I did have problems with there being no Longbow in "that courtyard" and I had to drag Longbow to the area to complete the mission.
  14. Dang man! Eveyone has a rocket board. I did a mission last night where I had to monitor a journalist over the CCTV and even SHE had a rocket board!
  15. I think if someone was bragging about it in a chat channel then that counts as griefing and they should lose that characters and possibly banned. This is not the kind of behaviour that should be encouraged or ignored imo. Obviously very difficult to prove.

Alternatively they could adopt a stricter naming reserving policy on the VIP Server.

Glad I've never used my forum name as a character. But in general this thread make me sad. Don't be a griefer man
  16. Experienced some problems with the new phasing technology last night. While teamed the team leader could not find their new contact. They had the star and we had just done their last mission so the system should have been switched to their view but was switched to mine.

We had to quit the team before the contact would appear. When we rejoined everything worked okay. Bugged at the time.

I missed that. I was always excited about the last movie and knew Ledger would make a great Joker. Maybe thats because I was never a fan of Jack Nicholson's version.

In theory (insert code rant) mapping a texture to a distant view is a very simple thing to achieve.

    ;thumbsup
  20. re-roll with badges/accolades etc ;thumbsup

    re-roll with buff ;thumbsdown
  21. I am tempted to redo a favourite character as time manipulation. I deliberately avoided it on Beta and tested other stuff so as to leave it a surprise

I'm thinking more Spiderman 3 to be honest.

I am also getting a bad vibe off this movie, I so hope I am wrong. I've been getting that vibe ever since they announced that Bane would be the villain. Bane is such a lousy character and is surely the Batman equivalent to Venom i.e. crappy character but fan favourite 'cuz its badazz
