When I read the new Starfire character I was actually speechless. For a moment, speech would not form because I was so shocked and surprised that DC would so change a character. I would be disgusted enough were it a completely new character, this is the 21st Century for **** sake!

I've read Shatner's autobiography and Startrek memoirs and he totally owns up to being an **** at the time. Its a shame if the feud continues, since Shatner appears to have made up with the rest of the cast.
I'm going to have to youtube Common People now -
But as everyone keeps saying the phase (cut directly from the website) "*Requires the City of Heroes Going Rogue® expansion." does not mean "include as part of"

Never said we did, just don't believe she has the skills to do it. If I am wrong I will be posting here, singing her praises.

Quote:Good news! I have read the new Starfire and now my soul if filled with emotion again!I was a big Hawk & Dove fan so I couldn't resist picking up the new Hawk & Dove #1.
However the art by Liefield has slowly eaten away my soul and I am no longer capable of love or emotion.

Bad news! Its raging hate and venom!Have you seen the new Starfire? Whoever thought that was a good idea needs to be sacked. Not joking.

Quote:Plus at the bottom it says:I just noticed that they fleshed out what you get when they say Going Rogue in the side by side chart (tab over to see). Wonder when they made that change.
Edit: The also fleshed out "limited".
*Subject to change by launch.

Quote:Agreed. It took me approximately 600 hours to get my first 50 and everything I did with that character can be done with a free account. Seems like a great deal to meLooking at it from a purely functional perspective, free players are basically starting off with the Good vs Evil edition of the game.
No Auction House, no Invention System, no AE, no Incarnates - though they do have Ouroboros & Pocket D - whilst keeping all the QoL and Content improvements that we've seen since then. In that context, it's not such a bad deal. -
-
And given that Incarnates were introduced in Issues 19 & 20 thats were I would expect to find the information.
As has been said so many times in this and other threads: Going Rogue is a pre-requisite of the Incarnate system. I understood that when I returned to the game. -
Quote:I can understand it not being everyone's taste (okay well I can't really, but pretend I canI've hated the goggles look for Catwoman since the first time I saw it. It just looks silly. I'm glad they decided not to go with it.
) but "silly?"
Silly? Compared to domino mask and hairband ears? -
Quote:Really? If you go to the main CoH page you won't find any information on the incarnates.

I assumed it was just a fleeting glimpse. After all we have seen how deadly it can be to load Time Lord knowledge into a human mind.

I'm with dbuter on this. I don't believe Anne Hathaway has the acting chops to pull off "smouldering". She is very very pretty but not sexy. YMMV.
And regarding the costume I have to quote a friend from another forum:

Quote:Er No.Except, under game info, on the going rogue website it has the incarnate info. It's the only place it is.
Incarnates Overview
You are just browsing the Site using the Going Rogue style sheet, just like you used to be able to do with the Villain Style sheet. The same section links you to this forum, that doesn't mean access to this forum is part of Going Rogue. The Going Rogue Overview on the same page does not mention Incarnates. Nada, nothing, not a peep! -
Quote:;thumbsupSo I would suggest after 7 years that we simply try something new with Group Fly. What if we changed Group Fly to Grant Flight and the user could buff the person or group as is done with Speed boost.
Combined with a personal menu option like you get for teleport, that would be great.
I always liked the idea of summoning a glowing platform people could jump on or off as they wished. It would be cool but (I imagine) a nightmare to code and no doubt you'd still never be able to keep your robots standing on it! Totally impractical but one can dream -
I quite like the iTrials however I think there should be a solo friendly path.
However to play devil's advocate, if you are not doing the trials why do you want the Incarnate abilities? They pretty much trample over normal content.
I would also say that it is possible to get the the first level of Alpha abilities through the use of Shards. Thats how I usually build my first Aplha slot. Of course if you are willing to team you generally pick up Shards much faster. So if you like teaming but its just the Incarnate trials you don't like then its more of an option.
Unlocking new slots is of course, only practical through the iTrials. But you only need do 3 to unlock a new slot. -
Quote:No.Do you not think it would be fair if Premium players who purchased GR got access to just the Alpha Slot?
Going Rogue clearly states it gives access to the Alignment System and Praetoria. You got what you paid for.
I have no sympathy for anyone that purchased a product going through Beta and discovers the released article isn't everything they expected. Plus I believe if you took it up with support at the time you would get a refund. Is that not true? -
-
Quote:Going Rogue grants access to the Alignment System and Praetoria. It does not grant access to Incarnates. However the Alignment System and Praetoria content is needed for Incarnate content.
But since buying GR anyways now denies Premium players the main point of GR - the Incarnate system - that's money that the game wont be getting out of me.
I'm going to start copying and pasting this. -
Quote:<supposition>Curious...as I understand the episode, these Cybermen have been bottled up in the earth for centuries (according to the Doctor). How then does the original surviving Cyberman know this eleventh face as The Doctor? Granted, at least two from the store above knew him by name, but not by his real nature. In "The Next Doctor", the Cybermen of that episode knew all the previous faces, but not #10. They had to be shown.
They could have crashed at the time of the Pandoric. That would mean they'd have known the current Doctor and had time to be buried beneath London (or where ever it was supposed to be).
