  1. I think the other "hair cut" solution was that his invulnerability only worked at close range to his skin, so he could cut his hair but never get a crew cut and his cape could rip but never the tights.
  2. I like Coulson. Even in Thor where SHIELD were being a bit of an ****.

He's certainly more interesting than "that elf" from the background of LotR

  4. The biggest hurdle to exercise is opportunity.

Currently I am lucky and work at a University, so there is a sports centre next door. Prior to working here I was a consultant and spent large amounts of time driving all over the shop. Needless to say I am in a lot better shape today than back then.

Not to mention that "a spear" isn't really a two-handed weapon unless it's a pike, which isn't really a melee weapon, not for a lone combatant, anyway. Now, if we're talking halberds and polearms like what Battle Maiden has, that I could see, but that's not what Valkyrie has.
Completely disagree. Maybe if you are lined up in the ranks of an army, but as a single fighter you are going to use that spear as a staff as well. Dang sight easier to spear someone when they are sitting on their butt.

Agreed. Thats how I play. I have characters for story content and characters for teaming.

As I say above, one part "magic" to two parts "fancy"
  11. If they sell PvP IOs they will be making a rod for their own back as that will make it harder to change PvP.

But generally speaking ... I don't care one way or the other.

Which is one part "magic" to two parts "fancy."

He's calm because he is in total control. Remember his powers from Thor, they wouldn't even notice him if he didn't wish it. I suspect that Loki with the Cosmic Cube will have just short of reality altering levels of power.

However I am also hoping we get the Red Skull in the movie, but I suspect we'd know my now if Hugo Weaving was going to appear

I quite liked the way the Praetorian tutorial allowed you to skip things if you wanted (when it worked) so I expected to see more of that. Colour me disappointed

    Fringe

Anyone watching the new season of Fringe?

I love this series but seriously folks, anyone that walked into that cave of spore-exploding-killer-molds not wearing a hazard suit deserved to die.

Did they forget they had them? Or just decide that because they were going deeper into the more heavily infested areas to hand deliver a poisonous toxin to the core they didn't need them?

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems out of place for him to do this, plus there is a scene where he is already in handcuffs in there.

My guess is that Red skull will return, since he seemed more teleported than disintegrated at the end of Cap.

Also I'd not be surprised to see Abomination from the Hulk movie return. He wasn't really killed and I could easily see them doing a sort of Team of Evil for the Avengers to fight.. Just a shame Tony had to kill Stain and Vanko, left none of his own baddies for the big movie...
I will be greatly surprised if Loki isn't the big bad. Again they seem to be going the Ultimates route and Loki was an excellent villain in that.

However I do hope we see the Red Skull as well. I felt sure that when he "disintergrated" in Capt's movie the effect we saw was actually the same effect as the BiFrost Bridge transfer effect from the Thor movie.

    Fingers crossed

  19. Just want to repeat my suggestion.

I believe it is possible to use vBulletin categories to have threads display in two places. So create a category for "Mids Build" and then any thread created in an AT forum that is categories as a "Mids Build" would also appear here.

Still think having two places to go for the same info is a bad idea. If this forum is a success then the AT forums will suffer.

  21. Its a great idea to give Mids some official visibility. However I think this forum is a seriously bad idea as it just splits information. Now I have to look in two places for the same info. As it stands this forum can only flourish at the detriment of the AT forums

SUGGESTION: Is it possible to get make "Mids Build" a thread option? So that thread flagged appropriately would appear in two places? In the AT forum and here? I've done that myself with some forum software, no idea if its possible with this.
  22. Agreeing with the general sentiment. I will continue to post builds and build questions in the appropriate AT forum.

Still, nice to see some official recognition for Mids. Go Mids Team

    Movies....

Its odd but there are some movies you can watch again and again. They are not always your favourites either. There's something about Sky High that makes it fall into that category. Its silly and cheesey but I find it very watchable.

However favourite movies that I can watch add infinitum include:

    Spiderman 1
    Ironman 1
    The Incredibles

And when Capt America comes out on disc I expect that will get added to the list.
